or you could just get some conformal coating and coat the pcb with it.

The water will enter from the cables on the stem post from LED travel down into the battery deck fuck your day up this happen to me and had to replace led both all modules x2 and head light Led x2

The power on, mode, and white circle button are exposed to water that go in between the rubber directly on the circuit board ( which is the opposite side where you applied silicone ), and also from the side opening of the throttle, that water will get to the screen and buttons, so applying silicone to one side and in particular the side you applied it wont do much to protect the controller.
I am still thinking of a good way to waterproof it once I discover it I’ll be happy to let you know.
if that's the case. isn't it possible then to make a thin silicone/rubber layer on top of the buttons that goes around the casing a bit? for the throttle I don't know
@@NootNooot Okay so yesterday I decided to cover everything with silicone, a thin layer in the front where the buttons in the board are not on the rubber button, on the actual the main board buttons, silicone around the lcd screen and pins so no water gets in or shorts it, and on the back I applied silicone all over, I applied silicone on the exposed pins of the acelerator sensor, except the mini black plastic sensor of the accelerator, but everything else full of silicone, and it works great, the only thing is the buttons are now harder to press but its not something I care tho.
This was the only way since the throttle lever is open and there is no way of sealing it, so you have to seal all the board.

This would be a better product to use "MG Chemicals 422B Silicone Modified Conformal Coating". Used it to waterproof RC electronics before and works really well.
why not to use simple transparent nail polish?
