    Heya just wanted to say thanks again I have taken of my first wheel, here’s the process I followed
    1. Used a heat gun with a 12mm nozzle attachment brought on amazon at 650 degrees from a 15cm distance
    2. Pointed at the back side as advised where the screw, screws into
    3. Applied direct heat for 5 minutes
    4. Immediately unscrewed, by hand around 2 minutes
    5. Waited for 10 minutes for the gun and wheel to cool
    6. Repeated the process
    Each nut takes just under 20 minutes so around 4 hours for both wheels. Once again thank you! You really saved me time on this, Dualtrons are easy to work on if you know what to expect, what things are called, and have the correct tools and parts.

      Wont melt the casing of course not but less heat stronger less deformation and mainly trying not to melt the solder in the motor

    Thank you, thank you, velocitygt. - I also read the Reddit message about the PMTs but didn't realize that there was going to be so much involved. Thanks again for all the essential details!!! I think I am going with the 110/55/6.5 that a poster stated would bead easier.

    Thank you for this, honestly the loctite that they use is insanely strong. As for the tire upgrade I had not even considered this, so another thing to the list. WOW! Thanks for the warning. I got my thunder with the knobby tires which I'm happy with for off road jaunts. Gotta say though, for the price point I'm not happy with the overall quality of the Thunder. There was no included headlight for night rides, the neck creak developed within a month, the rear disk was catching, spare parts not so readily available, the throttle and brake leavers are not adjustable to a comfortable position (for me anyways). This tire replacing drama seems ott for a scooter. Have to say thanks for the uploads, I've ordered some spares from the Russian site link you left and learned a lot from your shared experience!

      i dont know, i love the thunder, i mean ur talking 100lbs in weight and it is going to make some noise, the neck creak also happened on my weped and zero 10x, so i think the thunder is still the flagship of all scooters!!

      velocitygt Have you checked out the Kaabo Wolf Warrior? That’s supposed to superior to the ultra and thunder. Looks pretty badass as well. You can check out videos here on youtube of it. I even like the dirtbike style front suspension forks.

    • @chrisgunn4741
      @chrisgunn4741 4 роки тому +1

      @@MinimotorsUnitedKingdom It's supposed to be according to some reviewers. I'm sure some things are better than dualtron and some things better on the dualtron than the Kaabo. People seem to think it's build quality and parts are top notch, plus it does use Minimotors brushless motors, so it borrows from the Dualtron in that department. I don't own one, mainly because there's not really any accessory options for it like the optional seat or deck upgrades. I just thought Kaabo deserved a mention at least as it is another option to consider when purchasing a scooter in the Dualtron Ultra and Thunder range.

    If you're going to do the ratchet Style strap method to seat the tires you have to put a generous amount of grease on the Inside Edge of the rim on both sides. Then ratchet it down and use high-pressure blasts to seat it and then clean the grease up that will come out. I've done it to many pieces of equipment that run tubeless tires. I even had a guy on somebody else's channel complaining about his scooter and he couldn't get the tires to seat. I told him what to do and he had success first try. Just an old school trick👍✌

    • @enertiajnky

      @jpoorr9973 4 роки тому

      @@enertiajnky sorry your comment never came through. Get a ratchet style tie down . Just a short inexpensive one will do. You can by at any Auto Parts or Walmart. After you get the tire on put a generous amount of grease on the Inside Edge of the rim on both sides. Then put the ratchet strap in the center of the tire and Ratchet it down until the beads spread close the edge of the at least until it reaches the grease and pushes it's some to make the seal. Then use a high-pressure blast say at least 70 to 90 PSI to get it to seat. Then undo to strap and make sure get it to 50 psi👍✌

    So update! I went to a pro and he used tire warmer to make the tire flexiable, and then a professional none marking tire changer. Also it would seem that 100x55x6,5 are better to fit, as the bead isnt as far away. If you are going to do this.. "Go to a professional" he also advised that the rims arent well made and far from the standard of Mini GP wheels, they should be far better made at this price point, thanks and please alway share information and your experiences help others, thanks Velocitygt!!!

    So found a supplier in the UK but they will need to order from PMT, I was told that tyres in thise videso are a harder compound for road use, PMT made these tyres to be used in countries where they have vechiles that require these sizes,. Ther UK supplier will also fit the tyres with their machine, looks like it might be a six week wait however, every thing about the thunder is proving to be wait times and trial and error.
