For 10 years straight I kept coming back to this video and every time John sings For Emily, I would say to myself "How I wish you came back". Two days ago, my dream came true. Life is beautiful.

Am I the only one who think this is the best ever RHCP's live? I mean, a great playlist, memorable improvvisation and an energy out of control! Nothing to say about the others lives
we could name dozens of great rhcp gigs; anyway slane is surely on my top 3. but I think everyone is looking for something slightly different from music and even if we are talking about the same band, accordingly to my music research, I have to put alcatraz on the very top
Just watched the whole thing till the very end for the first time. John staying on stage after everyone from the band and rocking it on his own was one of the purest and greatest things I've seen lately. thank you John.
Prabhas Joshi Its a way of saying, they so good at what they do - its unbelievable. E.g., you could say "what they did with their guitar was so extraordinary, its probably illegal."

bastian araneda see Frank Zappa what doooo...lol ?!! ;)
I love how John recreate every single song with little fills and licks everytime you hear a song live it sound different. Best Band ever and all 4 members have the same importance.
Just love the recording and mix level of John's guitar on this. Can actually hear the beautiful harmonics of his guitars! In particular, listen to the bell like tone on Emily (23:19). And you can hear the creamy textures of the distortion, fuzz, wah etc. Also, honestly, has his live vocal work ever been better recorded? John might have given crazier, more passionate performances but it's hard to beat this one for technique and control. John seemed to know ahead of time exactly what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. He was never rushed and completely on top of it. So assured, confident and masterful. A performance for the aficionados! Kudos to the sound techs and mix engineers! Thanks so much for posting this!
wish i could erase my memory so i could watch this for the first time again. best rhcp show ever. everything on point, chads amazing, flea is breathtaking, anthonys vocals were incredible, and i have no words for john as always
Can't even imagine RHCP without Anthony. The lyrics of their songs are just modern poetry. Anthony we love you. John seems to be on another planet.. mesmerizing. seeing John and Anthony on stage together is the sexiest thing This is one of the best show ever.

He's usually pretty good at a lot of the songs on this playlist, but yeah they're all on fire here, including Kiedis, and the best I've heard him live on these songs.
Edwuard Old Flea & Chad are very important to the band also. Flea especially when it comes to song writing. Flea & Chad’s playing is so solid & fill it allows John to do what he wants over the top. A very tight band!
You can say AK is a little slack in Live performances, but in the album version original songs AK is the real soul of RHCP. In this particular performance, AK is truly amazin'.
Well yes this show is incredible awsome, I came here several times a year to watch this show. But since John rejoined and there will be some chances to watch them life again, Im verry excited to hear new music from them.
He also sounds great at lollapalooza 2006 (USA), Live in Poland, live at Hyde Park, DVD off the map and a few other concerts. He would have a much better voice if he had studied more about music and vocals.
christian grawe his whammy bar is “pop-in” rather than “screw-in”. it’s very easy to yank a whammy bar out of a strat. not so much with say, an Ibanez guitar with a floyd rose tremolo.
Rhcp, they are just my total favorites. The amount of feeling they put in is incredible. They feel every note and vocal down to their bones damn it!!! Its amazing to see. ;)
Serata indimenticabile !!!!!!!!
Wow, even though it's one of the "later" Chili Peppers live concert videos, it shows them brimming with energy and motivation, the force of "Me and My Friends" is also refreshingly intense! Hope that even the now-older John will be able to infuse some of the fury again!
Definitely one of their best shows ever. John was feeling the smaller venue. Bands due that every once in a while where they just tour smaller venues (probably be expensive as hell) but it would he cool. John was on fire the whole night and that bow in his ancestral country was well deserved.

@@siddharthsingh4095and then they toured! F Covid!
And as a side note- I fucking LOVE the noticeably "All along the Watchtower-esque" jam they groove on between Dani California and Scar Tissue
Swear to god when this COVID quarantine is over imma go and see them whenever they go, no matter the country, the state, the galaxy. Simply dont care.
Same here, last tour I saw them on was By the Way, it's been WAY too long
I feel that it’s my second chance too. Everyone’s I suppose haha
I’ll join the trip, from Patagonia
HAHAHAH the fact that they're reunited now. Worst timing for COVID-19 bruh.
The official webpage says “2022 tour” !!
That final, oh god, that shows how a beautiful person John is.
John's guitar is speaking, telling a story and flea is just incredible. It's god's band with 4 god.
Chad groovy chops. The full versatile package. Rhcp truly great.
John Frusciante at the end.... wow....
Frusciante puts so much feeling in the music it's unbelievable!
Exactly! Him and Flea are just so fucking happy I love it
Great! Me, too!!!
@terry dowling yea because some random person said that, even though there is no evidence, we should just believe it?
Every musician has to do it, otherwise they can´t call themselves musicians.
And I find him pretty low in the mix of this show...

what john and flea do with their instruments is illegal in 42 states
bastian araneda what what do they do??
Prabhas Joshi is it some thing similar to jimi hendrix did with his guitar... broke his strings or set it to fire??

bastian araneda I agree, but don't forget Chad. Chad is VERY underrated.
25:12 OMG HIS LITTLE "thankyou" IS SO CUTE
Dam I love when John, Flea and Chad just jam! at 34:45 just gorgeous!
Not enough love here for chad... his fills are the timing for the jams we all love.

This is one of their very best performances live w John. Energetic, in tune w eachother, producing such creative juices.
Almost sexual.
One of the most soulful guitarists ever, his guitar oozes emotions...that's why Frusciante is so great.
John and flea are not from this world. They are like alien siblings who cannot live without each other. The harmonies they create together is crazy
What about Chad Smith? He is also an alien musician. Flea+ Smith best Rhythm section

51:22 gotta love John's guitar tech Dave Lee smiling after John completed his awesome in the end
One of the rare concerts when John takes his shirt off before Anthony.
Yeah, they turned the camera away, and suddenly I saw John half-naked. I had to go back to confirm it isn't hallucination
John was feeling it this time. It was in italy right. John has that unique last name. A little homecoming history?
@@jgrullon32 i felt that too, as an italian i feel so proud of him having italian origins
32:45 - the best John's solo ever (known)
I've seen this concert so many times. But for some reason I get more and more hyped after everytime i listen to it
I've never heard Anthony's falsetto like that at 39:40
I dig it!
Listen to minor thing live he sings falsetto
Trey Kelly such a shame there’s only a few live performances for that song. one of my favorites!

John is on fire in this concert...
They all are.
Live at Alcatraz, Milan, Italy on April 29, 2006.
I like how Anthony changes his voice on Can't Stop verses. Sounds amazing and brings a nice twist.
John's way more into it because the venue and crowd are smaller. I'd bet
From 50:19 .. it just became johns stage.. and show XD
Yeah it did!

Anthony Kiedis Voice here is fckn awesome.
John looks so happy in this :)
Guitar is at the right volume too, Josh's guitar always way too low..
waaaaay to low :D
because he suuuucks lol
Exactly‼️
Josh's is always low and it sounds like it has too much echo
When I saw them live Josh's guitar was at the right volume so it might be something to do with how they record it
John paying homage to Italy at the end, I think he was feeling strongly connected to his grandparents' home country that day.
Yes Anthony isn't the best singer on earth but he makes the band what it is. The chili peppers are nothing without him
Rhodri Phillips I agree 100%
Rhodri Phillips The band without him couldn't be RHCP. He is the voice of the Peppers.
Obviously but without some one like frusciante they would never be something in music.
Edwuard Old Flea & Chad are very important to the band also. Flea especially when it comes to song writing. Flea & Chad’s playing is so solid & fill it allows John to do what he wants over the top. A very tight band!
