Im the guy with the adventure time hat. Great reaction video btw. This was probably the best loop station battle ever hands down. Also, Saro changed the looping game. Any battle after this has to compete with the techniques Saro introduced here. And since then, GBB has allowed a second device which has changed a lot of what loopers can do in a battle (the 2021battles had a ton of second devices). I highly recommend you check out Josh-O.

You can check out Robin vs KBA KBB 2021, It is basically this battle but both upgraded. I am sure you will really enjoy Robin, he is musical like MB14 but his rounds are wayy beyond what you heard from MB14 in this battle. KBA has a Saro vibe, all the 4 rounds are really good.

Years before this videos, loop beatboxer are not using many effect, making it just beatbox... That looped. And then that year, 2017, where saro as a "newcomer" on gbb loopstation. HE WIN by doing using more effect on his loop and bring such a new style and vibe to gbb. Even after that, he never lose a single battle. (Also, honorable mention to mb14 who make the videos sucha great battle, and thorsen who did kinda same things as saro year before it) And if u ask why is the semifinal more popular than the final... Well... Idk, personally i think the semifinal IS better than the final XD

It's not a singing contest. It is a beatbox loopstation contest. It's not all about the singing specifically, but it's all about beatbox elements. Mb14 is a good singer at the voice in France and he will match your expectations. In this kind of contest he just mellow it down and focused on the beatbox elements hence it is not a singing contest.
I think the Best performance of beatbox looping you can see watching showcase of mb14 at maybe German championships (literally every long showcase he does is insane).
