I've had 4 or 5 Geo Trackers on my UA-cam channel last 10 years. Currently, I have a 4 door hardtop. I just did a Herculiner bed liner and paint on my channel. I've been unable to find a rack mount to attach my roof basket. This is helpful. I am in Concho AZ. Where are you? CVK
The mounts that come with many roof racks are designed to mount to the existing roof tie down rails that are on many vehicles, (my 4dr included) but I did not want my rack to sit so high up. I have always just made my own gutter mounts. The one I am working on today was to short for the 4dr so I found an extension and lengthened it to 85" and added a 42" curved light bar. I will paint it all up in the AM and have it back on and mounted sometime in the afternoon. I drill in the gutter (many people frown on this method) and use rivets to secure the mounts. Then drill and use some nuts and bolts so the rack can be removed if needed.
This unit uses a 2" suspension Lift where pucks are placed on top of the existing coil springs and the top of the front struts giving you 2" of lift, combined with a 2" Body lift that we make ourselves, which will actually result in a 5" lift when all done. amzn.to/3TuOBZZ This is a walk around video illustrating all of the modifications including a Kitchen and a bed. ua-cam.com/video/k3UMdE-i2jQ/v-deo.html Thank you for your comment.
Not going to win any races, but off-road the 80HP engine does surprisingly well considering it only has to move 2,300 pounds of weight, Even with the bigger tires I have never had an issue, glides over the sand and climbs really well also. On the street, it's a dog...with this set-up I max out at about 65-70 mph and any incline or hill drastically slows my roll. But it gets 30mpg and has never broke down or left me stranded. Thank you for your question...there are many more videos on the channel if you would like to explore more...
@christopherharris3041 Thanks for say'n so...Just installed a Touch screen Stereo/information unit in the 89 Tin-Top, Editing video now so I can Publish tomorrow...hope you check it out

Is there not a rack mount system commercially available?
