For the young couple, I would have gone with the 4th house. It was move in ready, felt brighter and more spacious and had a beautiful garden which wasn't overlooked. For the older couple, the 3rd house they saw was my favourite as well and I am glad they got it.
If a half an hour walk to the station means the difference of seeing the kid or not seeing the kid, then there is only about 20-30 minutes of kid timer in their schedule at the greatest. I think they should get a small mortgage for, say, half what they are currently paying for rent and get closer to work so they can have some decent time to be together
It gives me chills to see that little child that close to a Canada goose. People outside of Canada don't know just how dangerous these creatures are. Look it up.
