    Yes it can! My C125 on a 104 degree day climbed from my home 4400ft to Alta Ski Resort 8530ft in road bike configuration. Home to top in 35min and when home averaged 147mpg. Trip was 27 miles each way.

    You and I weigh within a pound or two of one another, so thank you. Now I know a supercub could haul me around. But if you are interested, I have been losing weight just by carefully counting calories and limiting myself. Thanks for the ride and good luck.

    I once did 1000 miles on a 110 Supercup, through the Black Forest, Vosges and Ardenne mountains. Constantly encouraging the bike, telling it you can do it, was so much fun. The whole trip was way more fun than on a big bike, because of the constant attention that i had to pay to the bike and the road.
    Like the video above for you must have been a lot of fun. The Harley riders probably didn't think twice about that hill. That why nowadays Harleys have a radio, to fight the boredom.

    Poor little supercub deserved a little rest and maybe a picnic after than valiant and strenuous climb😊
    I can see these little machines flying out of showrooms with gas prices at record highs. Here in Europe we have 10 dollar per gallon!

    • @gustwowheeling7337
      @gustwowheeling7337  2 роки тому

      Yes it did. I agree they will sell. Prices are awful for fuel, especially in Europe. Thanks for watching, have a good week and safe travels.

    I've been on that road many times! You are like me. I will ride anything and enjoy it. People drive fast on Rt. 7. Be safe brother.

    I have a 2021 Supercub. I would not take it on a 4 lane highway where I can only reach 40mph in places. I would be too afraid of someone behind me not paying attention and run into me.

    • @gustwowheeling7337

      Understood John. I only have ridden on the highway a handful of times. I mostly ride mine in town. Thanks for watching and ride safe.

      I suggest going to google maps and following the walking route shown on the map. It usually is all secondary roads.

    Just to add: I own an original OHV 50 cc Super Cub and they will climb pretty much any mountain, with the caveat that you don't mind that you'll be slogging along at about 8 to 12 mph in first gear.

    147mpg wow that's amazing so Harley getting about 40mpg yea you can have that with gas way over 4 bucks very tempting to sell my bike and get a cub wonder how many mpg the 2022 cub gets I heard they raised the
    compression

    • @gustwowheeling7337
      @gustwowheeling7337  2 роки тому

      The absolute WORST MPG I've ever had has been 112 MPG on my 2021. Full throttle all the time, hard shifts, etc...
      Absolute best? 159 MPG.

      1 gal gasoline on super Cub 125 can go 140 miles .
      How much battery weigh needed for 140 miles ?
      And 2 minutes to fill 1 gallon of gasoline. Or another 1 gallon gas can would weight 6 pounds
      Just leave good Honda Super Cub alone .

      Zero make the best electric bikes and they take around 2 hrs to charge for maybe 80 miles range and that’s with the optional faster charger.
      Electrics can loose power quite dramatically in the cold as well as range.
      I’m driving electric cars since 2015 and I know they’re far away from being as good as ice cars, tomorrow we’re going on a long trip and taking the diesel as I just can’t be bothered with the hassle of finding charge points.
