Very enjoyable video. I lived in Montgomery County, Maryland, for 50 years and had many friends in Louden County. Your video brought back good memories, and I recognized a few places in it. Novaparks has great information on all the parks. I've been to a few of them.

Never had a super cub but I think it’s pretty much a street version of my Trail 125. Lots of fun!

I had an 81' Honda Passport in high-school back in the 90's - I loved it so much I just recently got myself a brand new 2024 Super Cub, 14 miles from hitting 500 miles as of 9/08/24. My 81' had a bench seat, passenger pegs and a side stand- wish this new SC had those items otherwise it is perfect..

Just to add: I own an original OHV 50 cc Super Cub and they will climb pretty much any mountain, with the caveat that you don't mind that you'll be slogging along at about 8 to 12 mph in first gear.

I just bought an 07 1300R with 2,700 miles on it for $2,500. I like it and I can't complain. The Cobra pipes on it sound good.

That Sir, is one very pretty Bike. The color is perfect. One thing I do like better on the Honda 50 Cub that I owned as a teenager, some 50+ years ago was the larger double seat. If I do decide to purchase a Honda Supercub in my senior years, I do believe that I would buy the aftermarket longer seat with saddle bags and the Trunk along with the rear foot-pegs. These are marvelous machines. The old Ad saying still applies. "You Meet The Nicest People on a HONDA". Greetings from Ontario, Canada.

I just bought a 2004 VTX 1300 with less than 20k miles on it. Yes, you read that right, 20 years old, less than 20k miles. Plot twist: I bought it from a guy here in Texas who sadly got flooded in the recent rains. It took on about a foot and a half of water. He's a friend and too old to ride these days so he told me "$500 and it's yours", so clearly I couldn't turn THAT shit down. Clearly I have my work cut out for me, but I'm happy to do it. Here's the thing, I've RIDDEN for 15 years, but I've never ONCE turned a wrench on a motorcycle. Plenty of cars, and I'm an HVAC mechanic by trade, so I likely have the "mechanical knowledge and skill set" to do the work that needs to be done. That said, I'm always happy to take advice. I've found the owners manual online, but CLEARLY I'm gonna need some parts, and what I DON'T see in the manual are PARTS BREAKDOWN AND PARTS NUMBERS. Curious if anyone here knows where I can find what I guess would be called the "SERVICE" manual, with breakdowns and part numbers. This was a great video btw, you made me even more excited to get mine cleaned up and on the road!

When you do an oil change;,You don't use synthetic oil; Right? ( I've heard that synthetic oil is bad for the transmission-too slippery for the clutch plates...etc. ... Am I correct?)

Yeah, time to fix the broken garage door so I can get the bikes out! Glad I don't have to deal with annual inspections any more, had to do that in DC but here in MD it's only when you register the vehicle, though police can cite you for any obvious issues and require repair and re-inspections any time. That are sure has changed a lot; back when I was in high school, the Dulles access road was where you went to find out how fast your car was, since there was NOTHING out there between the Beltway and the airport (which gives you a clue how old I am, haha). Thought maybe you were getting a Triumph for a minute there! Back in October I did a road trip to NC and surrounds, met up with Hawk Girl and Jay (and finally had the pleasure of riding with them some), you may know they're on Triumphs now for road bikes, Misty has a Trident while Jay has a Tiger Sport, both 660's. Great folks.

Gus, Very enjoyable video and adding the motorcycle dealer visit at the end made it a complete story, instead of simply a ride. Just like Alabama, Florida doesn't have vehicle inspections any more.. did away with them years ago. I was wondering if the UA-cam bot detected the music playing in the showroom, and gave you a chance to delete it, or whether you suspected that it would be flagged and deleted it before trying, or if you felt it was appropriate to silence it and made the decision yourself. I had UA-cam flag music in a Cub House clip that I could barely hear, and really didn't even recognize it as music. I remade the video and I silenced the portion of the clip that UA-cam flagged, and then added pre-clearance music from the UA-cam library or one of the sound tracks from the "Breaking Copyright" UA-cam channel on top of the video to put approved music back into the clip.

Enjoyed viewing the new motorcycles. Glad we don't have state safety inspection in Alabama!

Do you still have the Super Cub? Would you consider putting a windscreen on the super cub to increase efficiency and possibly top speed?

I own a Honda VTX 1300r, it's a great bike very dependable, and those mountains are awesome, a great place to ride, I love cruising though the mountains on mine, it seems to me it's a better ride .😊 😊

2016 VTX 1300 R. Had her since day 1. She's been a champ. Always started (unless the battery was dead). Probably one of the most underrated bikes in history.

Just remember that it's a 125; And you should treat it as such... (50 mph max cruising speed...It's a "city bike" and should be ridden as such...)

Gus , you do love that sweet running baby like a child . I have a good friend who rides one exclusively and says it is the best purchase he ever made and will probably out live him since he is spry bur pushing eighty years old . Ride into to sunset and beyond .😊
