So the storyline put forth the idea that Peter is a sort of Avatar of the Spider Totem spirit. There are people who subconsciously crave Totemic powers but are unworthy of them. These "pretenders" will try to steal of imitate a totem's powers, and they have an instinctive hatred of true Totems like Peter. This is why so many of Spidey's Rogues gallery are Animal-themed. Dr. Octopus, Vulture, The Lizard, Rhino, Etc, etc. Ezekiel was somebody who used a mystical ritual to steal Spider Totem powers, so he had all the same powers as Peter. But he didn't hate Peter and instead was trying to redeem himself for past sins by becoming a mentor for Peter and preparing him to fight a new villain named Morlun who's basically a Suped-up Vampire(Complete with victorian gothic clothes) who hunts Totems and drains their spiritual power. I think Ezekiel sort of betrayed Peter at one point but then felt guilty and went back to help. Or something like that. It's been a long time. He wasn't a villain at all though. Ezekiel Sims is a real character. He has all the powers of Spider-Man and he served as a mentor of sorts for Peter discovering that him getting powers was due to the spider connecting him to the Web Of Life & Destiny, not because it was radioactive and the idea of the spider totems.
Sweeney is Julia Carpenter. The other two Spider-Women are Mattie Franklin and Anya Corazon. Ezekiel Sims was an older gentleman in the comics when he first meets Peter. He puts the thought in Peter’s head that the spider that gave Pete his powers bit him on purpose and was not an accident. He has similar powers, but they’re mystical.
0:46: You scoff, but they were planning an Aunt May movie back when Amy Pascal was running things, and it looks like they’re trying to revive her Spider-Man cinematic universe plans after No Way Home. 8:33: from what I can tell, the redhead is Julia Carpenter, the Latina is Anya Corazon and the black girl is a race-swapped Mattie Franklin, all three of whom were Spider-Women in the comics.
The story / plot of the movie is taken directly from the first Terminator movie and is about the Spider Woman protecting Mary Parker and an unborn Peter Parker from Ezekiel Simms (whose basically the Terminator) As it turns out this version of Peter Parker is actually the MCU Peter Parker and is the chosen one.
@@Yayofangamer16 Madame Web and the Spider Women are trying to protect Mary Parker and an unborn Peter Parker. The movie was pitch as a Spider Women movie but with the plot/story of The Terminator.

Oh man, I knew Ezekiel Sims sounded familiar, but it wasn’t for good reasons. He introduced one of the more stupid retcons in the Spider-Man comics involving “totems” and paved the way for the absolutely horrid Spider-verse comics the first movie was loosely based on. It’s nuts how Disney and Sony keep basing their movies on the worst comic events they possibly can.

It's part of the ideological subversion process, that's why. These companies are being used by the Government and Banking systems to create division using Cultural Marxist ideologies, and it's working as intended. A Controlled Opposition is a protest movement that is actually being led by government agents. Nearly all governments in history have employed this technique to trick and subdue their adversaries, notably Vladimir Lenin who said, "The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves." If you want to subdue Liberals, control them and destroy them from within by making the population hate them. You are not meant to accept "wokeness", but rather go the opposite direction in favor of Conservativism (reverse psychology on such a large scale makes it easy for people to miss the forest for the trees, not having any idea of what the true goal is). Hegelian Dialectic: Problem, Reaction, Solution Problem: Liberals are destroying everything we love in favor of "woke" (Marxist) ideologies, and are also doing a heck of a job destroying the economy with their policies (including using Cloward Piven tactics to overload the system with more takers than producers, such as letting in way too many immigrants). Not only those things, but Liberals are destroying the moral and ethical Judeo Christian morals, values and traditions the West has held for nearly 2000 years. Reaction: We need to stop Liberals from turning the US and the West into a Communist society. We need a leader, and laws, that will reverse the course we are on, bring us back to our traditions, turn us back to God, fix the economy and Make America Great Again, the shining beacon guiding the rest of the world forward. Solution: A revolutionary change of power in which Liberals are removed from positions of power, authority and influence. Enforce religious laws derived from the Talmud which were made US Public Law in 1991 during George "1000 Points of Light, a New World Order" Bush Sr's administration called the "Seven Laws of Noah".

Like Thorias, I also only know Madame Web from Spiderman: The Animated Series, but considering she was some weird interdimensional being in that show, I don't mind them not going that route here. Never read the comics, but I checked wikipedia, and the 3 girls are all characters that have taken up the Spider-Woman mantle at some point in the comics. Which leads me to believe that this movie follows the plot of the CW's The Flash season 1; bad guy tries to kill the heroes before they gain their powers. He might even go full Terminator, since they seemed to have cast actors for Peter Parker's parents.
It only took me two of the time "replays" for it to feel like they were getting old. Any tension that could come from a scene is gone now as I can't trust that what I saw happen won't be just a vision and the scene will replay better in 30 seconds.
Time travel ruins stories. Especially if the movie tries to explain it too much a la the Terminator series getting progressively worse. Except T3. T3 closed the loop nicely, despite the fact it started with judgement day being delayed by T2's events.... they should not have done that, but anyway. T3 was terrible, but the fact that it closed the loop was fantastic.

No wonder they were waving the keys in front of our faces.
Tl;Dr "THROW EVERYTHING ON THE TABLE."
Ezekiel Sims is a real character. He has all the powers of Spider-Man and he served as a mentor of sorts for Peter discovering that him getting powers was due to the spider connecting him to the Web Of Life & Destiny, not because it was radioactive and the idea of the spider totems.
Yeah ok but how is 99% of people supposed to know about that?
@@chain872005 Well, isn't it obvious?
They have to have read a particular, singular "spectacular spiderman" Comics run from about 25 years ago.
@@chain872005 I don't haha I had to look it up too.

Or care about this.
Nobody cares. And especially the public.
@@MarxistClownism It's worse than that. Actually damaging to the franchise. Nobody wants Spiderman to be mystical.
0:46: You scoff, but they were planning an Aunt May movie back when Amy Pascal was running things, and it looks like they’re trying to revive her Spider-Man cinematic universe plans after No Way Home.
8:33: from what I can tell, the redhead is Julia Carpenter, the Latina is Anya Corazon and the black girl is a race-swapped Mattie Franklin, all three of whom were Spider-Women in the comics.
this reminds me of cosplay… maybe the twist of the movie is they all sleep together to produce white web to make peter parker to save the movie
The story / plot of the movie is taken directly from the first Terminator movie and is about the Spider Woman protecting Mary Parker and an unborn Peter Parker from Ezekiel Simms (whose basically the Terminator)
As it turns out this version of Peter Parker is actually the MCU Peter Parker and is the chosen one.
Oh my God lmao please tell me you are joking.
@@Yayofangamer16
Nope, that's pretty much the base Story/concept of the movie.

The movie was pitch as a Spider Women movie but with the plot/story of The Terminator.

So timey-wimey future vision stuff, an evil spiderman and the woman from 50 Shades of Grey.
I'm not even morbidly curious about what was going on here.
Sounds like a bad X rated film.

SPIDER BLAND, SPIDER BLAND 🕷 DOES WHATEVER A DESPERATE STUDIO CAN!!!!!!
This is Sony, not Disney or Marvel.
Right, I meant Sony and Disney.
It's like a competition to see who can stuff the most tropes and cliche bs into their movie.😂
No men in this one either cause that formula always works! 'Maybe this time! Maybe this time! Maybe this time! Maybe this time!' 🤣
“So bad, it’s hilarious”.
That’s their only hope to draw in ticket sales anymore 😏
Why else do people even go to see superhero movies anyway these days?
When she says "I can see the future!" I keep thinking of the aliens from Dragon Ball Z Abridged that Bardock dealt with. Instinctually I respond "Useless ass psychic powers!"
They could have used two of the four lead characters, Julia Carpenter and Anya Corazon, to make two much better movies staring them instead. Also, it's pretty clear that Sony learned nothing from the failure of Universals attempt at a shared Universe.
6:50 i thought you were about to genuinely cry lmao
Wait... this is a trailer for a movie?! I thought it was for a new CW show. Imagine my surprise when you mentioned it was CW level embarrassing as a joke.
The best part was when Madame Web says "IT'S WEBBIN' TIME!" 😄
Then she squirted her web all over Christian Grey. That was wild.😂

“We are acting” 😆
Edit: Congratulations on 50K!
Remember that Nicholas Cage movie "Next"? This reminds me of it, except this is "Birds of Prey" mixed with that and whatever schlock the CW continues to churn out. "Box-office bomb" would be a nice way of putting how much of an unmitigated disaster "Madame Web" will be. Well, that and "Kraven the Hunter."
I'm getting so tired of this "strong wahmen who don't need no man" BS. Why is it so hard to not do that?
This is the kind of stuff that makes people miss the 192-50'$. Woman couldn't vote, they stayed home doing chores and taking care of the kids, and peace reigned!
This movie could be good if it was not poorly written lol.
It sounds terrible, the acting 😅
Because in real life there's no such thing as an independent woman A woman who tried to live that lifestyle leads to a horror movie of a life so they have to perpetuate the myth the literal MYTH of independent woman
@@erikbihari3625_Such a shame you can't beat your wife with impunity anymore._ The West Has Fallen. :C
It's part of the ideological subversion process, that's why.
These companies are being used by the Government and Banking systems to create division using Cultural Marxist ideologies, and it's working as intended.
A Controlled Opposition is a protest movement that is actually being led by government agents. Nearly all governments in history have employed this technique to trick and subdue their adversaries, notably Vladimir Lenin who said, "The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves."
If you want to subdue Liberals, control them and destroy them from within by making the population hate them.
You are not meant to accept "wokeness", but rather go the opposite direction in favor of Conservativism (reverse psychology on such a large scale makes it easy for people to miss the forest for the trees, not having any idea of what the true goal is).
Hegelian Dialectic: Problem, Reaction, Solution
Problem: Liberals are destroying everything we love in favor of "woke" (Marxist) ideologies, and are also doing a heck of a job destroying the economy with their policies (including using Cloward Piven tactics to overload the system with more takers than producers, such as letting in way too many immigrants).
50,000 Subscribers finally. Well done Mate; lets see you get to 100,000. :)
I got the CW vibes when I first saw it. And I always remembered her as an old lady. But since we're in the clown world timeline, let the clowns have their chance to be fools.
Wow I'm so glad that the writer's strike ended with bangers like this movie😫
Congratulations on finally making it past 50K subs mark, Thorias!
Saying it's success well deserved would be an understatement.
Madame Web… really.
Congrats on hitting 50k!
Madame Web? Sounds like a new name for the long lost superhero character called Spider Queen.
It's so refresing to just watch an old Boris Karloff film, this time "The Boogieman will get you". The humor sure is outdated but Boris Karloff and Peter Loree are still more funnier then any todays comedian in that film.
This Madame Web movie is just an Evil Spiderman version of Final Destination.
Love the channel man. Always great takes. Let's go 50K!
You know, ironically, this could have been the opportunity to do an anthology series about the Spiderverse with Madame Web filling the Watcher role from What If...
Spiderverse is hot garbage , it’s worse than the spider clone saga .
All these companies keep learning the wrong lessons.
And what would they be? It's not like people have been screaming at their door clearly, what's wrong!
@@erikbihari3625exactly, and it's not like monetary value isn't the only way to measure and franchise's success, who cares about you know, story, characters, world building and acting. We only care about how much money a movie makes and how little we can spend making it

Sony and Marvel are in a struggle to beat CW at their own game.
to think I walked away from super hero movies back in 2015 when they were still technically kinda good for the fact I was sick of all the dam CGI, now this is what's coming out all the time. glad I cut my losses early...saved myself so much money.
Madame Web, of all the obscure characters to do a movie on. Sony why are you like this...
Ezekiel Sims was involved in that whole "Spider-Totem" business in the 616 many years back. He at first seemed to be Peter's friend, but more was revealed as the story went on. Morlun was also introduced because of this, then we got "The Other" storyline that killed Spider-Man briefly, then brought him back with additional powers, some of them cool....only for Marvel to retcon them within less than a year.
It looks like they've combined Ezekiel with Morlun here, like he's going about killing off all the Spider-Men, err Spider-WOmen, not to feed but for some other reason. Or maybe he has to feed here too?
Either way, it looks like trash and I don't think I'll see it even with my monthly pass😂.
Yeah, I remember that story. But Ezekiel wasn't a villain in a cheap knockoff costume.
CONGRATULATIONS ON HITTING 50K THOR! We all knew you could do it. Next stop 100K, then world domination. Did you notice they put out a trailer for What If season 2? I'm sure it will be just as silly as the first, is it just me or are Superhero movies getting WAY TOO META these days? Everyone's trying to be the next Deadpool with silly one liners and winks to the camera, breaking the 4th wall and all that crap. Oh well.

They're literally trying to turn Spiderman into a villain for the crime of being a man.
The editing in the Trailer says all you need to know about how this movie will turn out.
Whoever the bad guy is is supposed to be those villains from the Spider-Man comics who go around eating spider people across the Multiverse

She has the rights to these characters under some deal with Sony and HBO . She cant use Spiderman and his main villians but is allowed to use recently created side characters.
She can see premonitions and the universe is giving her clues? What is it, final destination?
