      Bro, not even fast food and retail are easily hiring during this time, it's insane. Someone I know took a whole year just to find work in fast food and she had to BEG the manager (who she was connected with) to give her the position. Multiple industries are impacted right now, no one is quitting their job, no one is hiring. All the stress just makes me want to be a stay at home wifey, keeping the house clean and cooking good food cuz no one out there will truly care for you enough to let you keep your job

    accept reality guys, most artists have a day job and do art on the side but will make it full time eventually. Even when your skills is top notch you still need to work on your business and social skills. Only top 1% of them make bank and most of them are industry veterans then they move to freelancing at some point in their career.

    Lots of really important and helpful ideas! I feel like I kind of screwed myself over by putting all my time and energy into being an animator (which was going good for 3 years) but now with the state of the industry I haven't been able to find stable work for a year! I wish I had some sort of side hustle or backup plan to help me more during these times, because my savings only go so far!

      well that's what she knows- she can't give advice on situations she's never experienced or has firsthand knowledge of. Id recommend you do personal research on successful art careers within your own country/local area and develop your own plans of how to be sustainable and financially stable as an artist. That may mean having a different job and dong your art on the side

    Hi, thank you for the video! :) Your entire journey is really inspiring, keep it up, girl! I also feel similarly about a car - currently have a part-time job that I can walk to, and later when uni starts again I will take public transport. I am working on living below my means, trying to limit my spending on things. I am working on my UA-cam presence but it's understandably slow as it's a part-time commitment, but I am having fun so if it eventually yields a return, I'll be happy. Thanks again!

    Yes, if not full-time at lest part-time. I wish I had saved more when I had a full-time job but I also have a daughter who I've been putting through school so that killed the savings I could have done. I sometimes wish I was stronger, but also as a mom it is hard to not want to give your kid the best opportunity. I got laid off in Jan 2024 and still have NOT found a full-time job but thankfully did land a part-time. I take the rest of the time when I am not searching or working to pour into my art.

    While it’s awesome to hear what’s worked for you; the title is pretty misleading. Not everyone is going to be able to get ad revenue or sponsorships, in fact very very few of us can. It’s not really helpful advice for the average artist. The video kind of feels like a humble brag, honestly.

    • @mewTripled
      @mewTripled  2 місяці тому +13

      I'm sorry to hear the video sounded like a humble brag, but I'm not here to be able to address what every artist can specifically do in their own life, so I just share my personal experiences as I do with my entire channel. It's an option that's available, and with that does come with building an online presence which I also make endless videos about. I do think I address ways you can try to stay financially stable as an artist but what is applicable to everyone cannot always be solved in one video. It would be disingenuous for me to share options I've never tried before and mislead people to making financial mistakes which is why I draw from my own experience. I hope that can be understood.

      @beingemma 2 місяці тому +1

      Also will admit, as a previous graphic designer due to the technology and AI rises these jobs have shrunk so entering the market will be very tough. It is hard to predict what will happen in two years as right now the market is awful. But I do not see it ever returning to the levels it once was. Things that might be better are things in social media or video which will continue to be a business need.

    • @ashleylong3381

      @@jleahy Honestly, how is it clickbait? It gave steps and answered some of my own problems. And yeah, there's been multiple similar videos, but there's a lot to talk about regarding the subject or surviving nowadays. Why are you so upset about other artists making their own content and monetizing it? As for content, there are a lot of different videos with different topics available to watch. If not scrolling down farther than a few videos and calling the channels brand style, "click bait", is your speed, then you definitely should go find someone else to better suit your tastes. Don't just attack her channel because you don't find her topics (which are to help fellow artists by the way) interesting enough. It's another person, not AI art.
