FILM SYNOPSIS♡

The fact that Sony Pictures Animation went from The Emoji Movie the year before, to Into the Spider-Verse a year later is a huge upgrade, and they’ve been showing a strong comeback.

Kinda like with 20th Century Fox bomb really bad with Fantastic Four, and came straight back up with Deadpool.
That line Spider-Ham says, "The hardest thing about this job is... you can't always save everybody." Really chokes me up, even to this day. In every single superhero story, someone important to them that they couldn't save (like Uncle Ben, or Gwen Stacy in the spider-Man comics,) is a traumatizing memory that stays with them the most, their driving force to do their very best and try not to let anyone else die. But it's an impossible task, the cruel reality, and a rather mature theme that I'm glad they touched on.

The way miles just slapped that spider off like it was nothing😅😂. I would be terrified
So I’m doing the obligatory fact mention of the frame rates, but Miles is animated on 12 fps or on 2’s vs how Peter B. Parker is animated in 24fps. It gives Miles a more choppy feel if you look close enough, while Peter and others are smooth. Its to show how Miles is new to this, how hes out of place till he makes a place for himself.
When he jumps off the building, his animation switches from 12 to 24 and he becomes Spider-Man.
They explored framerates more in the second film with a character named Hobie, where all of his limbs are differenr frame rates. Just love how much this crew loved this movie.
You can really tell how much the crew loved this movie by how much detail was put in each character, scene and transition. Such a fun watch🤩🥰❤️

I agree I love the sneakers, so how many miles of sneakers? They’re amazing in the movie don’t look like real sneakers if it wasn’t cartoon know the real sneakers and I like the hoodie design with the two hoodies on in the air fryer and it’s amazing on him.
Oh Lord, the "Hey." I nearly passed out on the subway one time because these two tiny boys were trying to teach their baby sister (like, 2 years old) how to do the "hey" shoulder thing but they WERE NOT LETTING HER DO IT HERSELF 🤣(She finally got her turn and I could have genuinely died of cute)

After Watching This Movie 482 Times, I Finally Caught This One Line, Not Sure Why I Never Paid Attention Before
The funny thing is I think him getting bit and being so chil was a reference to the other Spider-Man movies with Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield cuz they be dramatic as hell when they get bit 😂
Pretty sure toby Maguire actually got bit by a real spider and they colored it red and blue and a spider trainer trained the spider well that's what I heard

I still remember seeing this in theaters. By the way, the part where Miles decides to step up after his uncle Aaron got killed, will always be my favorite part of the movie.

The sequel Spiderman Across the spider verse is amazing and totally tops this one.

Stan Lee was a writer during the Golden Age of comic books, and arguably the creator of the Silver Age. He created a lot of the characters in these movies. During the Silver Age, he was promoted to Editor in Chief of Marvel comics.
He's also the reason Marvel beat all other media to a variety of diversity milestones and why Marvel is so "woke."
I'm not going to say Marvel is perfect on diversity matters, but they tried harder than Hollywood or TV shows or just about anyone else and did try to learn from their various mistakes along the way. Sometimes, he wrote little opinion pieces in the "letters" section of comic books, and some of them are worth reading just to see why Marvel is the way it is. Like a lot of Jews his age, he had trouble processing the Holocaust, and trying to be less racist and more diverse in the comic books was his way of processing all of that, his way of fighting to make sure it didn't happen here.
This movie is a really good argument for never making a live-action Spider-Man again and spending that money on more animated Spider-[Literally Anyone] films instead.

There’s a handful of animated films that visually just take your breath away - this is one of them. I don’t know how anyone can dismiss the genre when you think about how much effort and detail goes into one frame.
if you decide that this first part is top tier animation so you're not ready for part 2 "across the spiderverse" what they showed in the 1st was just a test of what they can do and in the 2nd they exploit their full potential to the max, I can't wait to see your reaction.

In my opinion across the spider-verse didn't really give the full Spider-Man effect like a fighting scene a scene where Spider-Man makes a hilarious joke and someone dying
