Additional information to note, the money changers now lower the exchange rates everyday after 15:00pm until 10:00 am the following morning this is due to the volatility in the currencies rates changing day to day while indonesian business hours are closed.
The rates fluctuate so much now at the moneychangers here in Bali. Also now since this video at 3pm everyday the moneychangers reduce the rate until 10:00 am the following day.

That was really useful information, thank you. Is it better to exchange cash or withdraw cash direct from an ATM using a citibank debit card. Are you making a video or credit card pitfalls.
Exchange cash is better as atm charges from your country bank and indonesian bank can be expensive for withdrawl. Most atm machines only have a maximum withdrawl of 2 million idr per transaction then you need to put your card in the machine and witdraw again thus adding more bank withdrawl charges. Best atm machine for maximum withdrawl is permata bank as they allow 3 million per transaction.
Usually Bmc, Bhi, central kuta exchange and PT Dirgahayu valuta prima are pretty safe. ALWAYS COUNT YOUR MONEY WHEREVER YOU EXCHANGE. I once change Thai baht a very long time ago at PT Dirgahayu, but nobody advertises on the moneychanger boards for thai baht therefore I don't know if they exchange or not.

I live very comfortable here for a lot cheaper than I could live in the Uk.
