    Thank you! I went through about 5 other videos and countless hours without success! My machine arrived with broken stabilizer bars and no 3rd mirror, and completely uncalibrated. The washers tip helped tremendously. Truly appreciated!

      Such a shame with the way it arrived though! Hope they compensated you for the broken parts

    Best alignment video I’ve seen. Saved me a lot of time. I’ve had mine a year and have always been slightly off. This helped so much

      @@MARCAMtop right shoots a little high, the other 3 corners are spot on. Does this mean it’s the gantry? Also after cleaning and realigning everything, I get waves in my raster? And left to right cut is wavy. No help on the forums?

      Same with mine. It’s impossible to get it exactly right. I’ve just got it as close as I can moving the mirror with tiny movements till it’s as close as it can be.
      It may be the gantry, but mine works fine like it.
      It could be something is a bit loose. Maybe a mirror vibrating, the lens or could even be a belt. Just go over everything and make sure everything is all tight

    Good tutorial for aligning, but have one question. Mine k40 have like wobble in that small plastic wheels. And than head with carriage is like going up and down( like loose play) . If you get me, small bearings in wheels tend to "pop" out and than you got uneven head position. Am going crazy to fix all right. I could do it like that with washers but there is no1 here to compare that wheels. Dont know what to do, cant cut 3mm plywood at all.

      I find with mine that if the all 3 are perfectly aligned the mm the top right will always be a little out. I get both top and bottom about the same so it’s not exactly perfect but doesn’t give me any problems. If you’ve tried that and can’t get it then it might be a case that your gantry could be slightly out of square. In that case I’d align the top right rather than the bottom right as you’ll find you’ll use the top more to cut than the bottom

    Hi bro,
    I recently brought this k40 laser machine , and i am facing one problem, the machine is only cutting in straight line i.e y axis…would it be because of the incorrect mirror alinement???
    Could you please help me out

    • @MARCAM
      @MARCAM  Рік тому +1

      Does the gantry move in both axis okay?

      Stepper motor could have a loose connection maybe. Check the wiring and see if you can wiggle the stepper motor cable out and back in. Check the same on the board too. Could be either end
