I don't know why I don't come to your channel first! Every time you help out tremendously! I wasn't going to be able to fulfill orders until this video. THANKS!
Hey man you are awesom. I am glad I found your channel. My CO2 laser tube was broken. I replaced today but was getting difficult to align. I realized that My safety settings (power, speed, etc.) was wrong. I am glad I didn't hurt myself. I was watching a different youtube while pulsing. You cannot immagen how much thanfull to your explanation. keep doing what you are doing.
You did an excellent job of explaining what you are looking for with the dots. You always do a good job with your videos. the one part that was missing that I think would have been very helpful, at least to me was the actual adjustments of the knobs to move the laser pulse into the right direction. I watched my Laser Tech do this when he setup my machine, and frankly it was a bit confusing on which know did what with moving the beam. I know there are other videos out there but it would've been nice to have one resource for me to go to. I do think this will be helpful to people but doesn't tell people how to physically make the adjustments - just what to look for.
ya I agree just didn’t it want to be a 45 minute video. with having the red light in sequence with the laser beam it really easy to visually see what direction your adjustment is going because you can see the red light and it’s movement. I appreciate your inputs
@@computercreationz I totally understand. Recently started my own YT channel - not as experienced as you I find it hard to determine what to put in and out. I only mentioned the part of the actual adjustment that in the event you did film doing it, you could consider making it available for our learning. You do a very good job with these things. I would love to see a part 2 where you comeback and say - in my previous video I demonstrated what what should be looked for when doing the mirror adjustment, but I have had request for showing the physical knob movements and how using the red dot makes this so much easier than other videos I have seen... thanks again for making the videos. I do instructional videos mostly on CNC and Epoxy stuff. I plan on branching into Lasers eventually but need to learn more to feel good about making a video. There are only a few laser content creators that I get as much from their instruction as I do yours. Good work and thank you.
I agree with Rob. I don't think it matters with this kind of video if it's twenty minutes or a hour and twenty minutes...you want all the information in one place. This is the best video I've seen explaining the steps from mirror one all the way to the cone.
thank you! it’s not bad once you get the red don’t in sequence with the laser beam. much easier to see where the adjustments are going. thank for watching!
Thank you for what you do for our community. People like you are how I was able to start my own business and help other local small businesses. I really appreciate you.
Your videos are my go-to, and now I've got a real dilemma. I put in a new tube a month ago and everything was fine, but all of a sudden I started getting weird angled cuts. So, here's what I did - check the lens. Clean. Do an alignment of mirrors following this video, and here's where things fall apart. The first bit of tape I use for testing Y front and Y back? They're not hitting in the same spot. When I align the red dot to where the beam hits at Y Back and then run it forward, the beam is no where near the center. No amount of alignment from that point works because I can't get the Y front and Y back beam to hit in the same spot. I tested the gantry and it's square to the front on the left and right side... not sure how to check the X axis, though. Thoughts? Thank you!
it sounds like your gantry is not square. if it’s not you will never get it to align in all 4 corners. look up on.how to,square your gantry, once squared then do your alignment
After replacing my tube, I've noticed all the cut edges on my parts have a slight angle now. I've cleaned mirrors and lens, but I'm thinking it's gotta be the laser is shooting down at the wood at a slight angle due to the beam not starting at the right spot. Am I thinking right that this is a mirror alignment issue?
Yes that would be your 3rd mirror that shoots the laser beam down. Best way to align that is to shoot it into a 1/2” piece of acrylic. If you have a Thunder nova just make sure the laser beam is in the middle of the nose cone on the lens
Hello you mentioned with your beam as long as it’s hitting the same spot, but mine isn’t hitting in the same spot what do I do when it’s not hitting in the same spot when I do my test?
some larger lasers will move quite a bit you just need to average the movement and go from there. the cheaper the laser the bigger this movement can be!
Please remember the red light comes from a different source than the laser beam. The only way you can tell where your laser beam is to put tape over mirror 2 and pulse the laser the hole will tell you where the actual laser beam is. You always should adjust your red light to where your laser beam is that way it’s much easier to see where your adjusting

I am glad that it helped and you are back on track for your orders.

That is awesome I appreciate your comment, glad this video helped you out!

This comes up a lot on the FB groups and I'm glad you made this super simple.

Thank you for taking the time and making this helpful video!
You're very welcome!

Amazing as always man!! Good job.

Very good video with lots of tips.
thank you! thanks for watching
Where did you get the red dot adjustment diagram at 16.55 in the video? I have been looking for one forever. Great video!!
I believe it was on thunderlaserusa web site under alignment
question, mirror one to mirror two. Shouldn't the pulse/burn spot be on top of each other from the front of the machine to the back?
Depending on the size of your laser. Small laser they will be very close. Larger lasers there will be some drift there and just average the two
Hello you mentioned with your beam as long as it’s hitting the same spot, but mine isn’t hitting in the same spot what do I do when it’s not hitting in the same spot when I do my test?
some larger lasers will move quite a bit you just need to average the movement and go from there. the cheaper the laser the bigger this movement can be!
Hey awesome video I had a question what if mirror 2 has no laser beam (red light to mirror 3
👍👍👍 Good boss 👌👌👌
Many many thanks
My beam is not hitting in the same spot…the right side of my laser is severely off hitting top right of the circle/mirror
it will move some especially with larger lasers you just need to find the average in the middle. it won’t be the same all over the bed
Watched your video but my pulse button is not working when I push it.
it could be that the setting is too low to fire the tube. you can increase your pulse % in the controller.
You should of shown the people how you adjusted …
ya I thought about that but people tent to not watch a very long video. it shows in the stats. I do agree it would have been helpful. maybe a part 2!
Waist of time tells you you need pulse in same. Hole but not how to get it there just adjust it
I’m sure you’ve mastered it by now
I want a thunder so bad! omtech is a yugo...Thunder is a Mercedes!
they are great machines!
You forgot to mention that the mirrors you got form Thunder Laser are shit and corrode.
What are you cutting or engraving that you shouldn’t be to corrode mirrors. I’ve never had any issues with any of there components.
