What a great show! Really Enjoyed doing this one. Kudos to my compadres. So to answer the inevitable question...I made some hard decisions and moved a few things on and decided to get CCU's to both the Ironclad and the Ironclad Assault. I have the tokens and the credit so there really wasn't a compelling reason not to and there were enough compelling reasons to make sure I had a way to get either or both when they are released. This Invictus required a lot of thought towards fleet management and forced me to make some very hard decisions about what makes sense for my interests and motivations in the game. I decided that the Ironclad is most likely going to be more useful to me in the long run than the Railen. Accordingly, I made the decision to replace it. I have wrestled with this for some time now but I melted and rebought my Convoy pack to turn my Carrack Expedition (from an Exploration Pack) into my Perseus and turn the Orion into my Polaris. I already had both in my hanger but by doing it this way the package savings (and the $50 War Bond CCU on the Polaris) will ultimately pretty much pay for the Ironclad after I do a couple of other things. I also made the commitment to embrace the Corsair and hope they fix the little issues I have with it over time. I have bought it 4 times now and melted it and this is number 5 but I am going to do my best to stick it out. In the end I also decided to memorialize my love of the Ghost and used a token and added the Ghost MK I to my hanger as well. I am very happy with the state of my fleet now. But only time will tell how long I stay that way...Thank you guys for listening and I hope to see you all in the verse! Peace and Chicken Grease!

I like the Liberator as well as the Ironclad, they are both very good ships, similar, but not the same goals.
With Pyro on it's way and more systems coming, a ship like the Ironclad is almost a must have for a Firefly/Serenity nomadic style of play. Having a very flexible jack of most trades, depending on what you put inside the 1500 SCU hold is great. Whether it be a fighter for bounties, a ROC/Prospector/Vulture, a C8R/Nursa or any combination. Myself, I want to do the long haul cargo runs and while doing that, explore opportunities to discover derelicts, rescue others, scan for resources etc. The Ironclad has extreme long range, 4 large shields and armored. I really hope CIG goes the rout of individual bunk rooms like the Corsair. The Ironclad could also be a mobile central hub for a land base, that can be moved from one resource rich environment to another. I feel that I will be able to pick up almost any mission in my journeys through the Deep dark of the verse.

The hardest decision I have ever made in SC was to keep the ghost or melt it to the MK2. I upgraded to the MK2 and it just kept nagging at me. I melted the mk2 and got my ghost. Also there seems to be a fuel bug on the mk1s. It drinks gas like a Old v8, and its stealth is crap. If it even works at all. But, I am determined to wait it out and see. I can always get the mk 2, but I can not go back once it is gone.

I definitely feel you on this! I have flown the Ghost MK I for years now even when it was total garbage at combat and I still loved it. There is just something about the ship that pulls me in. I felt like I had to have one in my hanger for posterity sake!
Also regarding selling ships post launch, no they won't sell ships that are already out. They will keep selling concept ships though.
My 2 cents on the F7A MKI, was a 2013 baker, and ex owner of one, its cool and all, but in the end its just a fighter. Was not a easy call, but sold mine and its enough to build a new Pc, still rooking a gtx 1060. I wana say thank you to CR, in the end he help me build a new Pc to play this game.

It was always planned that newer models of ships would come out. I've been watching the progress since September 2012, and yes this was always a thing. Maybe to someone who joined in 2018 or 2021 this seems weird and out of the blue, it really isn't.

As much as I love my MK I I can't wait! I will most likely HAVE to have one for sure...
Love how they came out and stated that working on the Ironclad, which has not had any production done to it, consept art in blender is just that art and has nothing to do but visualize what is appealing at the time. That the Ironclad is going to make it easier to develope the Kraken. As in the concept shop they just sold that is not in any way being worked on, has to be done to make it easier to work on a concept ship sold for 3000 dollars years ago. 😂 🎉, celebrate CIG marketing for hauling in that much money from so many for nothing but a blender art piece and justifying a further delay in even touching a project like the Kraken! You boys have that hook set deep in the whales and rubes!
The Kraken has never been sold for "3000 dollars". I am assuming you are talking about the Javelin when you say that. I am fully committed to the belief that EVERYBODY is entitled to their opinion and I will be the first to encourage everyone to voice theirs. I also believe it is important to be factual in that process. I own a Kraken. I paid $1,650 of NEW CASH for it a few years ago now. It is still sold for $1,650 as of the most recent sale. The Privateer is $2,000 and there is an upgrade kit out there for $350 that turns a base Kraken into a Kraken Privateer with a net total value for the same $2,000. My Kraken has not been melted and sits patiently in my hanger as I enjoy using the loaners I have for it until it is released at some unknown point in the future. I would love to have it in the game right now. I also now own an Ironclad and an Ironclad Assault. I would love to have them both in the game as well. However, I understand that the more ships they put out the better they get at doing the ships and the more polished they become. I am a patient man. I understand it takes time. I am NOT concerned about the time it takes for them to cook. I also understand the way marketing works, in fact I have brought it up in this 30K series we are doing more than once. they are not in business to be altruistic. They are not making this game as a public service. It is a FOR PROFIT venture. It takes money to make money and it is going to take a LOT of money to make a game at the scale they are attempting to make. They have mad a LOT of mistakes along the way and yet there are some of us who are committed to allowing them get it right. Call us anything you like but eventually I believe the game will get made and will likely redefine not just this genre of game, but gaming in totality. As I always say, I am an old man now and I could ALWAYS be wrong...I appreciate your engagement and thanks for listening! Hope to see you in the verse someday!
