I always wanted to nurture my kids into sports as a profession. With this BS of gender identity and transgender athletes, I'm inclined to change my dreams.
She boxed in the Olympics 4 years ago so she has been competing for goodness knows how long and with how many other women that have NEVER had with her. I find that this poor women has to battle against the likes of people that are against her when she has put heart and soul into her boxing. She is being treated so badly by all of you.
I trained in TKD all my life, I'm 56. Some women punch much harder than others. Getting punched in the face hurts, duh. Angela Carini shouldn't be there if she can't take it. Imagine her getting punched by our Kellie Harrington. This is trans panic and blatant misogyny of the highest order.
My proposed solution for this dilemma: Take gender out of the equation. Instead, match these two athletes based on their testosterone levels regardless whether they're male or female. Just like in male boxing, they have weight divisions.
Wow that is hilarious how did you guys get a report of her x/y status and then be allowed to talk about this on national TV. So they gave her a biology test and determined she was woman enough to compete. And then they're talking about it it's not a HIPAA violation these people sound more ridiculous on the regular media people.
There is absolutely no actual information about the woman's chromosomes. Even if there was this is a pile of nonsense. She did not in fact go through male puberty. This we do know. So now what? We can show JK Rowling pictures of all athletes about to compete and she can decide if they are feminine enough? This all trans panic has got out of hand. Girls with short hair are being harassed in bathrooms already. Its about to get worse.
The number of people who haven’t looked in to this story is a sign of our times. She’s a female. She can give birth. She passed the requirements. She has a genetic advantage. If it makes you more comfortable she is not intersex. Insane how little research people do. What makes it worse is there are egregious examples in sport trans athletes wrongfully competing imo and this story is the furthest thing from it.
So much nonsense here. It is NOT a matter of whether an athlete is 'female enough.' It is a matter of whether an athlete is biologically male. And there is no such thing as 'intersex.'
Most American don’t know that in other countries men can easily obtain fake documents like birth certificates and passports to compete in women’s sports for money and medals.other countries don’t have fingerprint and Social Security numbers for individuals.A lot easier to cheat in women’s sports.
It seems that, biologically speaking, there is some blurring of the line between male and female though? You can have XY chromosomes, but still be neither fully male or female due to differences in testosterone levels?

It's not about discrimination, its about a man beating up a woman, where did we go in this world when its all of a sudden alright with men violence against women?
One fact is that IOC and IBA run different tests. IOC did do the SRY testing, it showed those two women aren’t “male”. Another fact is that IBA wasn’t able to prove their statement and was suspended.
There is an element of racial bias at play here too. In Algerian society, it is acceptable for men to hit and show violence against women. So for people in the west to criticise this is very culturally insensitive

Your argument is that this gives her an advantage!!! In basketball, there are some players that have an advantage to be tall... black has an advantage to have more muscle than white... why doesn't disqualify them!?
Britney is not boxing. She plays in a sport with other exceptional women, only 1% of women in the U.S. are over 6' tall. Btw Polynesian and white people actually have the most muscle mass. They are usually the winners in weight lifting competitions.
I don't care what your genetics are on a personal level, but I just hope everyone is safe. Testosterone is a banned substance for athletes for a reason. It's effective. I say this, again, only because it's so important in boxing to be safe within an unsafe sport. I don't think the athlete did anything wrong, but I certainly wouldn't get a ring with them.

This is a female that can give birth
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Facts 😂
What female characteristics does Imane Khelif have?
Imane can apparently conceive and carry a baby to full term because she has female reproductive organs. However, there have been rumors that Imane has concealed male genitalia, which led to her to undergo male puberty. This is all based on speculation, so I am open to being proven wrong, but that is what I have heard. The debate is far more intricate than simply a male participating in female sports, and particularly in the realm of combat sports, there should be minimal room for flexibility when it comes to categorizing athletes as female. If the information I have shared is accurate, Imane should not be competing in female boxing.
@@dominicdarmanin9866 i think its also a rumor that this individual could conceive. It would be interesting
@@LS-ih7dg yeah I think I agree. It’s a more complex debate than either side admits but I’m glad people care enough about the athletes fairness to want to debate it.

This makes me think about the debate about "Lia Thomas" swimmer, who was born a male, started hormones in 2019 then in Jan 2022 she won in NCAA Division I national championship against female swimmers. Lia Thomas can't compete in the Olympics after she lost her legal battle to have the rules barring her participation overturned.
Just want to add - both are different topics (one was born female and transitioned, the other born intersex and has XXY chromosome) , but both debates are thought provoking about gender and sports
yeah but the difference is this is not a trans woman, so it's confusing to estimate the amount of male hormones

I am not sure the men on the Morning are men?? Can anyone help me?
Lol who cares, but when in a olympic competition then u must make sure.
I wonder if you'd be having the same conversation had she been a british boxer
I think that JKR looked at headlines and decided Khelif is trans. She is not
What is your evidence of what Imane's puberty experience was?
How do you know she didnt go through male puberty? With XY chromosomes present who knows?
Now tell us the source of your claim this boxer didn't go through male puberty.
Men with those characteristics go through male puberty. Is he an exception or you are just making up?
This was really enlightening, Thank you for explaining this - so much confusion and waffle on this issue.

Why was she banned from the world championships?? They said she failed a gender test.
What is your evidence Imane can give birth?

The IOC said they checked the passport. No genetic tests were done.
@@aprilrae6551 That is exactly why everyone is suspicious.

The way people are using this to attack trans people is mind boggling
One fact is that IOC and IBA run different tests. IOC did do the SRY testing, it showed those two women aren’t “male”. Another fact is that IBA wasn’t able to prove their statement and was suspended.
What? The IOC only looked at the passport.
There is an element of racial bias at play here too. In Algerian society, it is acceptable for men to hit and show violence against women. So for people in the west to criticise this is very culturally insensitive
