Could you help diagnose? When I test, the phone ringer and alarm work. But music does not play through the speaker, nor can I hear on a phone call. I have no problems when using a bluetooth headset for calls or music. Does this seem more likely a ribbon issue or a speaker issue? Today I dropped the phone on carpet, then dropped it again in snow.

Nevermind, I just looked and realized it's stuck in headphones mode. I'm working on a fix now.

We were replacing the whole screen and the ribbon tore at the top left screw and also we can't get it to attach or go under the metal piece below. Would this effect the earpiece from working? Everything works except the earpiece.

It's a delicate cable you have to be careful. Just slap it back together for now and order the new $5 cable. Use it as is until then, not much else you can do.

The same thing happened to me when I changed the screen. I have changed many screens but I don't know why the speaker stopped listening, I have even changed it for a new one and it is still the same. Any solution?
