  • Abandoned for over 20 years! Large house in the woods with everything left behind. Explore #78 Canada
    Where did they go?
This large house has been abandoned for over 20 years. It is a mystery whey they left this family home never to come back. It seamed like there was a large family living here before. There was bedrooms with 2-3 beds in each room. The previous owners left so much behind here. During the summer months this place is so overgrown and impossible to see from the road. Seeing the trees growing through the asphalt driveway and pool was very cool to see.

    About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

When I was a younger boy my mom was dating a very abusive man..... Ill never forget.

Wife and me decided this -
We know they were an Indian family, who likely emigrated, AGAIN, from England (a kitten born in a kennel forever remains a cat!!!), to open an _"amazing, no-fail business"_ in Canada.
Business flopped, or was built on bent family money, the contractors who built the house were not receiving monies owed for work completed, government were asking awkward questions about finances, so the entire Indian family ran back to their family in Small Heath, Birmingham, England, where they live to this day, having rejoined the Uncles dodgy Estate Agency (Real Estate business). The property left could never be repossessed, owing to more legal issues than you could shake a sari at.
Lot of guessing, lot of stereotyping, lot right too, we reckon! Stereotypes come about owing to stereotypical behaviour repeated over and over and over again.

Possibly: Entire family killed in a car accident, airplane crash, while on vacation somewhere, visiting relatives and a disaster happened there (tornado, flood, hurricane, earthquake, etc). There’s a myriad of reasons it has been abandoned completely…. None of them good.

Though even if I was looking through the old place I wouldn’t touch it. To scary. There was a number plate on the old cars and a working van. Look them up or get the police to look it up. They might be able to give u the story if u have nice police there? Or get a name off one of the bills and do a google search for that name, year and suburb. You can look up the grave site to see if their names are there ( sorry I do ancestry lol) if u really want to know u can get some photos and ask neighbors and shops that have been around since the 70s usually their kids take over the shop…..if there were young kids they would only be in their 50s by now. The school if it’s old enough can help out too. It really depends if u want to find the family or not. The council would know there’s a house there etc. good luck and it was a good video.

It would be great to learn the back stories of some of these abandoned homes. Hard to believe what circumstances cause a family to disappear leaving everything behind. It was an Indian family who possibly returned to India for vacation but could never make it back to their home. Maybe a plane crash that killed the whole family and nobody left in the country to handle the estate. One can only imagine.

I have a theory about why everything was left. You mentioned that the pictures looked like people from India, perhaps they were called back to India and it was cheaper just to leave everything behind and just buy new stuff when they got back home. Shipping all of your possessions overseas could be quite costly.

Amazed at some of the places you explore like this one. That's a pretty big house. A place where a sizable family lived there given the number of beds left behind, the pictures, etc. Always strikes my curiosity as to why they suddenly and seemingly, abruptly left, abandoning the home. As for the stuff left behind, it reminds me that depending on a person's personal beliefs and culture, they may feel no particular attachment to material things.

Another cool video Brent! and one of the differences between you and other explorers is not just that you keep a steady camera not shaking all over the place, but you talk to us about what you're seeing in person and it makes us feel like we're right there walking beside you. My little tid bit suggestion is that have you ever tried looking up the records for the town assessor or town records from online or such, as to find the names of the owners? I due understand you must respect the privacy of them, but maybe you could find out clues from looking and searching for them online. Even if you couldn't broadcast their names, but what if you are able to find an obituary, or social media, that shows more info. That would really be awesome if you find out even the smallest clues and not expose their personal privacies, and manage to have an awesome conclusion for an ending. I know that in this town, I can look up the name of the owner to any piece of land at any address, right from the town's website.

Although we don't live in a huge house, we left our home less than a year ago, taking only clothes and a few other things. I was sitting with my sister, who was sent home from the hospital to die. Not from the virus. My husband is handicapped and I had to move him with me. We went back occasionally to check things and get clothes, mail, and needed things. Before we could get back home, another family emergency, a surgery and premature grandbaby, needed a helping hand, even farther away. Meanwhile a breaker failed letting the upright freezer fail and leak. A freeze burst several pipes.. Rats moved in. It looks totally abandoned already. We are in process of buying property where we are now. We plan on retrieving our things, including a safe, tvs, furniture, stereos, personal belongings, keepsakes, and even our sheds full of equipment. I tried to get my grandchildren to stay there but they wouldn't, not even free, because they didnt want to keep it up. I only had utilities turned off last month. I had plywood put over the doors and windows..The yard and garden have grown up totally. My climbing roses look beautiful and wild though. I had kept them cut back. The driveway is growing up and is much narrower. Even though its not fancy, I feel a wave of homesickness when I think about it or when I go there. I used to cry every time I went, I missed home so much. Time and circumstance moves you on. That's how it happened to us.
