Haha before you even showed that pic, i knew it was gonna be Mega Man by the way you described it 😂 the Nerd went into full detail! Haha i hope he never watches this episode, it'll give him PTSD! 🤣
23:35 I'm that nerd thats learning how to make NES games in 6502 Assembly, and it is VERY tempting to make a game called Num Num Ned in the Land of the Nummy Nums.
I love the way Joe produces, he's so entertaining, charismatic, witty. Even though the main theme of the video is not all that interesting to me, listening to it makes me want to watch the video
I can't believe you included Panic Restaurant without mentioning how crazy expensive it is. Complete copies of that game sell for $2,000. For old NES collectors, it's a holy grail of a game to get in your collection.
A lot of people seem to not know this, but the first game to have the Konami code was Gradius, which was released in April 1985 on the Famicom in Japan and December 1986 on the NES in North America; Gradius had only been around for 3 months when Contra was released, and it not as well known or popular to the average gamer as Contra was, so Contra ended up being the game that popularized the Konami code. In later Konami games, including Gradius 3, the Konami code was actually a troll and either didn’t do anything, changed some text to mock you for trying to use a cheat code, or caused you to die/get a game over. Another fun fact is that the code was put in the game during development to give the player full power-ups at the beginning of the game, and it was supposed to have been taken out before release, but the person who created the code forgot to remove it; thus it stayed in the game.
When I saw the double dragon commercial, I thought it was a real commercial and I was mind blown that Joe was in a video game commercial but then I saw it was a video he and his friend made haha. Still pretty cool though
Gen Z here, even though I don't play video games like that, but some of my favorites are Sonic The Hedgehog, Mortal Kombat, Mario Kart, God Of War, to name a few, I have older brothers and me and my little brother used to watch them play video games growing up, I also used to own a gameboy and Nintendo DS 😊😊
With Round 2, once the main character appeared, then I was like, "Oh, oh, oh, oh. I know now!" Funny thing is, I've never played any of the Metroid games, I just know what the main character looks like.
I dunno if you guys just have a wardrobe of stuff for people to wear, or if Brittany actually owns a MegaMan 8 sweat shirt, but if that's actually hers......how can I ask her out?🤔 I always love Brittany in stuff in general, and MegaMan is one of my favorite franchises EVER, and MegaMan 8 is my favorite MegaMan Classic series game. lol What a glorious combo. Also proud of her for guessing my weird old buddy, Bad Box Art MegaMan. I was like "Girl, you HAVE TO get this. The guy is on your shirt." And she did! 😂 (I've had the intro stage (above ground) music, the FrostMan music, "I'm ClownMan", the opening cutscene, and images of the fight with TenguMan just echoing around in my head for like 25 years. MM8 is STILL the pinnacle of the Classic series. Seriously. Go look up those two tunes. - 'Opening Stage (Above Ground) - Mega Man 8 [OST]' - 'Frost Man Megaman 8 Music Extended [Music OST][Original Soundtrack]')
Round 2. Knew it on the first clue. The red ball. Round 14. BIGGEST CLUE it was NOT Castlevania......NO WHIP. Round 21. B was in BTF2. It shows how good Marty McFly is at shooting.
Before they even showed the box art they were like "This next one is going to be one of the worst box art for representing the game"... and I knew it before they even showed the box art... lol
27:30 I loved the arcade version of Bump n' Jump. I would play for hours. I also had Superspike V-Ball and Super Dodge Ball. Loved blasting my opponents.
I spent sooo many hours building my own tracks on Excitebike and never being able to ride them. 😂thank you for reminding me of Bubble Bobble, haven’t thought of that in years
Wild Gunman/Gunsmoke, Wild Gunman was the arcade cabinet in the "futuristic" diner of Back to the Future 2. and River City Ransom, is in the same "Nekketsu" series (aka Kunio-kun series) as Super Dodge Ball, Nintendo of America just rebranded a bunch of them into random names.
This was such a fun video and when it came to the video game mashups, I thought the first and third were really easy, but I had NO idea what the second one was lol
Dude, Excite bike is not simple. It's one of the most complicated early racing game. it has two speed, engine can overheat. You can do wheelie, you have "physic" landing and you can sabotage your opponent by swiping their front tires with your back tires. It has so many things going on.
Punch out and duck tales combo was so easy to guess. I played a lot of punch out and I was okay but I didn't play duck tales. I loved playing duck hunt tho and I was unstoppable. That gun was the coolest thing ever!
Fun fact: the voice of Mario in the old show, is the same voice actor as the ball on the Sunny and Cher show, Eeyore, and of course his most famous role, Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen.
That Double Dragon "commercial" was something else! 🤣🤣🤣
21:15 ahem, you forget about the 1971 classic Dracula vs Frankenstein 🤓
YOOOO sneaky little “Barats and Bereta, Barats and Bereta -ding-“ reference! Shout out to old UA-cam and young Joe. Kick ass
Haha before you even showed that pic, i knew it was gonna be Mega Man by the way you described it 😂 the Nerd went into full detail! Haha i hope he never watches this episode, it'll give him PTSD! 🤣

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on NES was the kids and my favorite. That sewer jump was a pita though.
I can tell that Jay has never played a retro NES game a day in his life
Granted that was now 40 years ago pretty much. Can't much blame many of them
Man never had a Duff in his life.
@@CrazeeAdamno excuse i’, 19 and I’ve played several (my mom owns One)
Wild Gunman was in the future scene on Back to The Future 2
The River City Ransom comment Joe! That game is so much fun.
I 100% knew the Megaman box art was gonna be on here and burst out laughing when it showed up.
I love the Mega Man series, and go back to play them frequently, but my favorite overall NES game is probably Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!
Wild Gunman looked familiar because that’s what Marty plays in the diner in Back to The Future 2.
I love the way Joe produces, he's so entertaining, charismatic, witty. Even though the main theme of the video is not all that interesting to me, listening to it makes me want to watch the video
Excite bike was so lo-res but so cool.
Whoever says the Konami code, for Contra, specifically, without "...select - start" , at the end, didn't have friends, as a kid.
Interesting game. Millennials are old enough to know the games but just young enough to possibly not have seen the original box art.
4:04 Dude sounded like Toad fr!
The bonus was unbelievable !!! 🤣🤣🤣
that double dragon commercial is AMAZING!!
I’m glad Doc exists😂😂 beautiful man he is!
😊true story 😅
When they picked Castlevania for round 14 I would have done a spit take if I had been drinking. My guys! He had a WHIP not a sword! Lmao
The physics of Raccoon Mario's tail just mystifys me. Just how does that dang tail keep Mario up in the air?? It just makes no dang sense! 😂
Played a lot of these in the arcade. Contra took a lot of quarters.
Hope for another video like this would eventually please 🤞
Whenever Ducktales is mentioned, I need someone to 🎵whoo hoo!🎵😂😂
"HEY BABE, YOU WANNA GET DOUBLE DRAGONED" 😂 . 👍🏼
Baby Joe!!!😅😅 (I knew they would recognize him lol)
I can't believe you included Panic Restaurant without mentioning how crazy expensive it is. Complete copies of that game sell for $2,000. For old NES collectors, it's a holy grail of a game to get in your collection.
Should do a react to old video game movies and include the Double Dragon movie.
Now we know Joe's a nerd freak but in a awesome way
Keep it real Joe Keep it real Dude.
By Far one of the Best Segment Producers of REACT

Bubble bobble was such a fun game
Too funny great episode them civers at the end priceless 😂
This episode is bringing up some nostalgia and it's giving me a case of the feels lol
World needs more Barats And Bereta content.
The Mother’s Day card will always be the best video they ever made.
@@fredloftonabNow I need to see it.. so I can have nightmares..

The Bubble Bobble theme is **chefs kiss**
Thanks to Travis' shirt, I am having pizza for dinner lol
Loved seeing super dodge ball get a mention. Absolutely loved that game when I was a kid.
OMG the callback for Joe and Barats and Bereta!!! lol
Ducktales Remaster on PS3 also had one hell of a rewamp on all game music, including Moon-level.
I only know Panic Restaurant from Game Grumps. They played a couple of years ago. It's a good game.
Where did you get that Mega Man sweater Brittnay? I want it!
Joe you freak dude but i love it..
👍👍👍👍👍
Hey Baby do you want to get double dragon
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Come on, Wild Gunman was in Back to the Future 2. That is pretty much the only place I remember seeing it.
I knew Panic Restraunt just from Game Grumps lol
Oh man........Joe's face at the end :)
I love Brittany's shirt. Love Megaman.
I knew with Round 21 that A was Gunsmoke because the other one, Wild Gunman, was featured in Back to the Future, Part 2.
I was 11 when the NES hit the US. I have played a ton of the titles for the system and so many are still fun as hell.
With Round 2, once the main character appeared, then I was like, "Oh, oh, oh, oh. I know now!" Funny thing is, I've never played any of the Metroid games, I just know what the main character looks like.
Fun fact: Wild Gunmen was in Back to the Future 2
It's like a baby toy
Not Ashleigh referencing "you sneaky mom" 😂 21:21
There's some dope pulls from this ep avgn basically played them all so I guessed them all
my parents brought me up in the 80's pronouncing it Excite-a-bike 🤣
My favorite game code is from Sonic 2. ⬆ C ⬇ C ⬅ C ➡ C A+B+Start for debug mode.
Knew Metroid from the bullet. But I'm also the oldest Millennial, lol.
I won a copy of Iron Sword in a package of Oreos before I even owned an NES 😂
And I miss Bubble Bobble and Double Bubble too! So fun!
That KKK reference was crazy 😵
Brother called it out quick
now the same with Snes!
4:46 -- Oh Mason, I am SOOOOO PROUD of u; no cavities!!😜
One of my favorite NES games was Jackal. My brother and I would play this for hours. We would also play Tecmo Bowl too much.
In Europe Contra was Probotector. We just had cool robots instead of these dudes who had no armor against horde of aliens.
Brittany ❤❤❤
I dunno if you guys just have a wardrobe of stuff for people to wear, or if Brittany actually owns a MegaMan 8 sweat shirt, but if that's actually hers......how can I ask her out?🤔

I did not know Fabio had a game 😂😂😂😂. That cover looks good
Awesome NES games 🎮🎮
These games make want me to get a NES system to this day!!
Round 2. Knew it on the first clue. The red ball.
Round 14. BIGGEST CLUE it was NOT Castlevania......NO WHIP.
Round 21. B was in BTF2. It shows how good Marty McFly is at shooting.
Also got #2 on the red ball.
I also got #2 on the red ball and I never even played Metroid.
"Wanna get double-dragoned?" *lmao*
Before they even showed the box art they were like "This next one is going to be one of the worst box art for representing the game"... and I knew it before they even showed the box art... lol
Excitebike ❤
I conquered Contra in the early 90's with a friend
27:30 I loved the arcade version of Bump n' Jump. I would play for hours. I also had Superspike V-Ball and Super Dodge Ball. Loved blasting my opponents.

I called Mega Man just from the description Joe gave before it was even shown.
Ditto. It's probably the most infamous example.
This was such a fun video and when it came to the video game mashups, I thought the first and third were really easy, but I had NO idea what the second one was lol
I'm honestly shocked that I guessed contra before any of them. I never played the Nes and I recognized it by the first guy with a gun
Rock n Ball was actually one of my favorite games. Various versions of pinball including 2 player competitive and like a casino gambling version.
that was fun. such nostalgia.
Where did you make the retro nes coverts IA? Its amazing, i want mine
I wanna know to
Man such nostalgic games. I played a few of these games when we first moved from Europe to the US.

At least it wasn't Atari 2600 box cover art. That stuff is nightmare fuel.
No legend of zelda? 😮😮😮 This was an awesome episode except for that fact.
When Street fighter x Tekken came out on PS3 that MegaMan art was a playable character and he was middle aged and fat he was more like a cosplay lol
Completely forgot about the Megaman cover art. It is somehow worse than the AI art used in this episode.
If Excitebike is familiar but you’ve never played it like I also haven’t it’s a track on Mario Kart 8
Punch out and duck tales combo was so easy to guess. I played a lot of punch out and I was okay but I didn't play duck tales. I loved playing duck hunt tho and I was unstoppable. That gun was the coolest thing ever!

CONTRA! Awesome game!
I honestly got almost all of them. I might need help...
31:30 Bad Dudes is the only one of those 3 that hasn't had a WayForward remake/revamp...
I was never a gamer because I was just horrible at it but this was so nostalgic because I always watched my brother play these games.
Gun Smoke was my favorite NES game as a kid!
So many nostalgic games that is film have lol. What a fun watch
Dude, like I grew up on NES and I'd have to say like over half these titles ive never heard of!
