Note : The horns are not labeled with a positive or negative terminal. it will not matter which ter- minal has a positive or negative wire installed to it as long as each horns has a designated 12 Volt wire and ground wire installed to it .
Mickey Back at it again with the in-depth perfectly articulated video! You ever notice how he knows the name of all those little parts? Mickey is so Mickey spec
I usually just sand the holes down for license plate with Dremel, thanks again for another tip & ideal. Cool, love learning new things from ppl. Cheers, A
I probably literally have a bucket if bumper clips etc... As they always break, & if I'm working on someone else's car, not sure if already broken; so I always have spares.... Like the tape tip....thx. I usually just YOLO it, lol, which probably isn't too smart on my part. Love the horns, pretty cool looking☺️ & new that was gonna happen & is why turned my earbuds down to 1 lol. Leave them red, or paint them same accent colour as wheels or engine parts... Cheers, A
I've always wondered how the new Hella Horns sounded. We've had the same branded horns since 2008 and the manufacturer has changed overtime. They actually sound about the same but the old ones are better imo cause these are a bit too high for me. We actually use some relays when we install these so these could also sound different because they dont have relays
I have the gold ones for my 15 wrx. Not installed yet cause the wiring harness and bow tie bracket just showed up in the mail. Can't wait to make my neighbors mad when I lock my car.
I custom installed some hella horns on a motorcycle, its was a tight fit to make them not poke out. They sounded awful, until I noticed the back nut was contacting the frame and caused a short to ground. Just fyi, ensure the back nut doesn't contact with chassis ground.
i would paint them black. the red hella horn look is done to death, black would be a nice hidden improvement. I hope you guys throw an aftermarket top mount. For the power you'll want it would be fine while keeping it somewhat stock. another good looking mod would be some strut braces. You could put them on with some sway bars and coil overs and this thing would be a pretty good handling machine
Those horns look pretty good I would leave them alone, I have to change a horn, I like the plate you put on the front to replace the number plate it looks better than any plate but I now wonder if you should have a plate made with Throtl on it I am sure a bit of brushed Aluminium with Throtl or Mickey Spec etched in to it would be ace.
Love your videos and what you do for the enthusiast community. But sometimes I wish one of your friends would hold the camera for you while you do the install. This video just kind of felt like I bought the product, read the directions, then had someone else do the install. Surely one of your friends would be willing to hold the camera so this would feel like an actual instructional video like you intended? Help your boy out till they make a GoPro Beard Mount hellas...uh, I mean fellas!
Why not paint them the same color as the car a nice metallic blue? And being from New Zealand this may sound like a dumb question but do you not have to run a front number plate on your vehicals over there?
When I was younger I thought those were turbo's
Lmao
We all did lol
How is that actually so relatable, I thought I was the only one!
Me 2
@@svrsxlt no 😂

Gold is the way to go :)
Everyone leaves them red. So yes, Gold.
I say leave them red. Matches the sti red. Looks killer guys. Nice subtle upgrade
1:15 i think thats the first time ive heard an american person refer to it as a bonnet and not a hood lol 👍🏼
body match or leave red!? gold would look tight though also
Next video: scaring ppl with LOUD horns lol

I think the red on the Hella Horns is a nice look.

The beard transition YEEEEESSSSSS
118db is no joke, hella horns have saved me MULTIPLE times on the road!
I think red is fine because thats the OG Supertone/Sharptone color. Subispeed has em in whatever color you want.
definitely gold to match the wheels 100%
Mickey Andrade trademarked fade to beard. Keep it going Mick.
1:46 - 1:50 Double edit? Lol. Awesome video as always, Mickey!
I have the gold ones for my 15 wrx. Not installed yet cause the wiring harness and bow tie bracket just showed up in the mail. Can't wait to make my neighbors mad when I lock my car.

I love this horn where you got it at ? I need this for my car
I custom installed some hella horns on a motorcycle, its was a tight fit to make them not poke out. They sounded awful, until I noticed the back nut was contacting the frame and caused a short to ground. Just fyi, ensure the back nut doesn't contact with chassis ground.

Good as is or lime green... Whooop!
I love the way he says bonnet not good like every other American 😂😂
Love a clean whole!!!! Ty for the content Mickey 👍👍
Deff go gold
Paint em gold! That would look dope and represent subie rally colors.
Leave it red ofcourse :)
Color them with an off set color you plan to use on the car else where or just go with wheel color.
Gold!! Go hotboii
Are we using the existing stock harness or do we wire these straight to the battery
Do a light gold to match the wheels! I'd say leave them red if you had other red accents on the car, but there are none lol.
Can Mickey do a tour of his tool box!
i think the video was good but it doesn't sound easy to me. i still don't like the sound of the new horns, would an equinox horn fit in there?
Do I need a tune after installing this?
I would say pink :D
Teagan Hodges STI pink would be cool!
Paint the hella horns GOLD
Gold for sure
Where can i get a wiring kit the link doesnt work
You deserve 1Milli Subs
did anyone else notice the hella horns already installed in yesterdays video and wondered what happened? Great video though
Gold would be dope!
Gold would look sick
RED IS THE WAY TO GO
A nice gold with metallic flake👌👌
WAY too late , but I just saw this: keep the horns RED, and add a LIGHT to the circuit, so it blazes when sounding! 🤗
Blue to match the paint
Gold. Match the wheels.
Or whatever color the brake caliper covers are.
At my 2003 JDM Impreza sti there's a coolant loop at the left, so I can't install them there.🙃
@ 7:25 Mickey spec of approval🔧
Mickey what happened to rick flare man? Is it still at LTMW?
Brian Silveira - Yes

I got a ticket here in Texas for not having my front license plate. Nice install tho!
Yo guys paint those blue to match the car would look sick bro
Why not paint them the same color as the car a nice metallic blue? And being from New Zealand this may sound like a dumb question but do you not have to run a front number plate on your vehicals over there?
Gold or blue color matched👌
I strongly believe that in the thumbnail it should’ve been “ hella loud” instead of just “loud”
Should add some hood struts from grimmspeed as well.
definitely gold horns!
Leave as is = be like everyone else . Paint them a wild color = different . I say be different. Candy purple , yellow, lime green or orange.
I'll keep the horn housings the same color but I would definitely paint match the license plate delete.
Gold to match the wheels
gold for sure
Black or blue like da car
Anyone have a link of how the wiring works? I have absolutely no idea how the wiring should go
Next Mod: Slaps STi’s stickers on it 😂
tigerbiterhater - Not a chance.
Sweet turbos
whats the story with the orange porshe
Gold would be the perfect accent, and try the horns in the tunnels instead of the hoss of an exhaust.
Go black. Needs headlight restoration and sti fog light covers imo
I would paint them blue or gold, most definitely!
Hot pink
Does he still have the EG6 SiR II?
Dylan White yes
Yes, I do. It’s an SiR-S
Great video, I like the red
The headlights on my Volkswagen already are Hellas from the factory.
Leave them red they look cool when the bumper and grill are on
good job, don't paint the horns, just put a t.p. holder on the bumper, thanks, horns are loud, great job
RED!
GOLD DEFINETLY
Roughly how long did the full install take?
Do an evo8 build next
Gold for the rims
Gold !
Leave them red
Get jdm fogs, they look the same but are bigger
Go blue or gold make it look themed to the car
Dude you gotta put the camera in your beard faster! ;)
BA SQUADDDDDD
Color match the horns to the wheels 100%
