Excellent review ! Packed full of info and yet, it didn't feel busy or rushed. Well done indeed :) ! I'm seriously considering this vehicle in the SX or SXL trim. It punches waaaay above its weight class and is an incredible value chalk full of safety and luxury features. Throw in that warranty and the vehicle practically sells itself. I've had a Forte ( 2010 ) ( Bought new ) and have had nothing but great luck with it. I'm 51 years old and have owned many different brands of vehicles and I can honestly say that Kia is now my go to brand. I've never experienced more satisfaction and peace of mind ever before with any vehicle. And I'm talking about a nearly 9 year old car !!! Very reliable. Also, the folks here at Moncton Kia ( New Brunswick ) have unsurpassed levels of service, as I'm sure Brantford Kia has as well :) . Again, great job and keep up the good work :) !
I love my 2016 SX...The improvements on the 2019 SXL will get me to spring for the updated version.

Love your videos on the 2018 and 2019 Sedona. Just took delivery in Sydney Australia of 2019 Kia Carnival Platinum (right hand drive same as you but top of the range) in Deep Chroma Blue. Awesome. I thought we would never get out of our last 3 Chrysler Grand Voyager Limited but Chrysler will not import to Australia the Chrysler Pacifica. I have nagged them for 12 months but to no avail. I waited for the 2019 Kia with the 8 speed auto, LED front lighting with auto lowering of high beam, no more foot brake, Apple CarPlay standard, voice activation that WORKS! etc. I thought I would never buy Korean but what a surprise especially the new rear LED lighting. Keep up the good work. This car is for my wife who doesn't like to read car manuals. Making her watch your videos has taught her almost the entire manual. Thank you!!!

I am grateful for your videos. I love the bright white light. I live in NE Ohio and it gets dark early in winter months and It can become VERY hard to see, especially in snow. It would be great to show how to turn on the child safety locks, and also, how to update your automatic seats. I had such a hard time, because I am pregnant and growing. Definately needed!

I was considering this one, but bought Honda Pilot instead. Still regret missing out on the Sorento 😢
When the competition has them it makes a difference on resale value and yes some people are getting that lazy me not included

A job well done good overview of features as I have a 17 SXplus. Why is it that we can not get auto hi beam headlights and rain sensing wipers as they have had them in the US for the past 2 yrs on this model?
I believe this car has auto high beam headlights, as do many of our other top of the line vehicles. The rain sensing wipers, I didn't notice on this car.
Seriously are people this lazy nowadays?
Can you do a demonstration of the collision avoidance feature? AEB ?
We tried... but the short answer is no. It becomes too dangerous to let the vehicle emergency brake for a video. The car reacts very late, and if for some reason the system doesn't recognize whatever we drive towards, it puts the driver and any bystanders at risk. This is something best demonstrated on a closed course in controlled conditions.

Will this engine do okay if driving to the mountains? I felt my 2013 cx5 struggled a bit going uphill. Great videos. Learned a lot. Thanks
Any gasoline car will lose some power as you rise in altitude, that being said, this car has significantly more power than a CX-5. I wouldn't expect you to have any issues.
This needs a V8 option so it can compete with the Ford Explorer and Jeep Cherokee. This is still the best looking vehicle in this segment and it's a Kia so I'll buy :)
The Kia Telluride is on it's way. We don't have a release date yet, but it might bridge the gap between the Sorento and some of those competitors that you're talking about.

That's tough to answer in just a comment. The vehicle comes with Kia's Dynamax All Wheel Drive System which has been recognized as one of the best AWD systems for winter weather. There are the standard ABS brakes, Vehicle Stability system, and other wheel speed related sensors like traction control. A set of winter tires makes this car just about unstoppable in the bad weather. And don't forget features like the heated steering wheel mean that you'll happily keep both hands on the wheel. It's best to come see the vehicle for yourself to see how you like it, and if the various technology features make sense for you.

I only have the 2020 information in front of me right now. It's possible that vehicles are equipped differently in different countries. We're based in Canada.

Can I get fog lights for my 2019 Kia Sorento LX V6 AWD?
From what we can tell at the time of this writing is that you would have to move up in trim level to get fog lights on the 2019 Sorento.
Is it Bigger then the Chevy traverse and is it better
Is it better? Absolutely!! Is it bigger? You'll have to check the specs on the Kia and GM website, or better yet, see the vehicle in person to see if is big enough for your needs.
Dubby Jr it's big but not bigger than traverse in terms of passenger capacity and cargo.
does the sx model come with a lane keeping assist
Yes, Lane Keeping Assist is standard on the EX+ and above models.

Well, for the 2020 model year, the biggest difference is that there is no SXL Sorento anymore. The Telluride becomes an option for many people if they want to move up beyond the Sorento SX, but features and options have been repackaged, so the best place to compare trim lines is right here in the following link. www.kia.ca/vehicles/sorento/modelrange

That will probably work with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. I haven't tried that myself.

The Camera person is a tripod. We're pretty low budget, but if there's something that you would like to see more of, we'd be happy to make some more videos to show you the details. That's what we do!

Does the SXL trim have " Homelink " garage door opener feature ?
We don't currently have an SXL on our lot. We recently sold two of them. I believe that it does for 2019. The brochure doesn't list it, but I've seen it go unmentioned in other printed material in the past. I can tell you that the 2020 Kia Telluride which is coming out very soon, will have Homelink according to my latest information. In my data it's listed under the heading of "comfort" not "technology" so that's an odd place to put that information. As I said, I'm pretty sure that the Sorento SXL will have it, but I can't guarantee.
Does it have Heads up Display (HUD)
It does not. As of the time of me writing this our Cadenza and Stinger are the only cars we carry with that function.
