Brantford kia thanks for making these videos. I have a 2016 Sedona SX with tech package. I loved the review I just got my 2019 Sedona + sorry. I and the wife could not come into you guys but I will say I was not looking at the Sedona until I saw this video thank you for helping. Also, can you do a review on the Stinger GT
We have SEVERAL Kia Stinger videos. One thing I can say for sure - you are a great presenter and this adds a lot to your sales, also these videos and the way you present add a lot of value to your dealership branding. I have no idea how good is the Kia quality and let alone the Sedona, but after watching such a presentation, I am curious at least to see one. I initially thought you guys are in USA and just heard you mentioning GTA, so became curious to see you in person, but this is the only thing I won't do as Google gave me 2 hrs driving from North York to Brantford, but as I said, will visit one of the local dealerships to see a Sedona in person, in the very least. Keep-up the good work! And one more thing - great that you are showing a new model, but would be better if you show a vehicle with the nylons taken off. Also a little demo of the sensors will help - show a simulation of the possible situations and how the vehicle reacts - blind spot alerts, rear cross-traffic alert, will it recognize only vehicles? Will it recognize people? Also on a video of 2019 Sedona I just saw they have the DVD feature, so if there is some kind of infotainment system for the rear passengers, please show a demo. One guy showed an actual demo of the Pacifica infotainment and how the rear passengers could use it (what apps are available and little demo of the apps and games) and that was so great as Noone ever did a demo of the infotainment of a van. Most might think this is not important and for most people it isnt, but if I put my kids on the second row I wanna see how they can be entertained. Also mention is it just DVD or it does support bluray disks as well? I will now try to find your android auto video. But again, show more of the comfort and the safety of the vehicle, for me a family vehicle is all about comfort and safety. Thanks!
So I went to my local dealer. I had lots of questions, he was able to answer most of them. Can you please answer or make a short demo video on what is still not clear(everything is taken from Kia website): 1) what is "obstacle detecting driver window", 2) Driver Attention Alert System - what it does? 3) What is Vehicle Stability Management? 4) How exactly the Forward Colission-avoidance Assist works?

Great questions! I'll do my best with them. Without watching the video again, I'm going to assume that I mentioned total capacity. Second... I don't know... and I have to be honest, what do you want to take? A minivan is going to take a huge box... is an inch difference between one brand or another going to prevent you from buying one van over another? The transmission contributes to better driveability, and I wonder if it won't contribute to real world fuel economy. It's the kind of thing you'd have to try out to see.
@@BrantfordKia thanks for the quick reply! I'm concern about dimension and capacity because I will be using the van to transport appliances write frequently. Thank you for this review. It was quite helpful and look forward to others. 2 Questions regarding the passenger seats: 1. Do they come out completely? 2. Is the middle console seat thing included in all lines or is it an extra?
We've done an entire video on the Sedona seats and how they work. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/_OslsusNyfI/v-deo.html&t As far as the centre seat. Check with your local dealer to see which trim lines include how many seats. That could be different in different markets around the world.
Fantastic, after looking at your video today I have a meeting with your Mississauga location hopefully purchase a 2019 Sedona. Thanks so much for the detailed video it is amazing.
Hey a new feature I'd love Kia to come out with: Front electric sliding doors! They slide to the front! The window track would stay in the closed part. The window would come down 2 inches and the door would come out and slide forward as the window finished opening. PLEASE CONSIDER IT. Thanks!
Hi @M Hurly I don't want that. I would want the Driver and Front passenger doors to slide-forward while the side doors slide-backward, even at the same time. Rich
There are differences in the cars, but to judge driving feel, that's a personal thing. I encourage you to try one out at your local dealer. If that's us, we'd be happy to let you take them both out, and judge for yourself which one is better for you.
The middle seat can take anyone for shorter trips, it would be less comfortable for an adult on a long trip. There are actually quite a few differences in trim packages for 2020. In Canada, the lowest trim line and several of the higher trim lines have been cut from the lineup and the options have been repackaged. www.kia.ca is the best place to compare the current models.
I want to use this van for full time camping travelling, so I have no need for all of the rear seating. Can I order one of these Van's with no rear seats?
Interested in the new Sedona. I think the fold-forward 2nd row seats are a great idea and I like the center console armrest. I was watching a Consumer Reports video about the 2015 Kia Sedona and they said that the 3rd row seats don't fold into the floor actually flush with the floor in front of it. Is that still the case on the 2019? I don't have kids and need the van more for cargo space and will usually keep the 3rd row of seats folded into the floor. Is there a mat available to cover the complete back carpet area behind the 2nd row? WeatherTech has one for our 2006 Honda Odyssey. Here is a link. www.weathertech.com/honda/2006/odyssey/cargo-liner/. But I don't see the same type available for the latest version of the Kia Sedona or the latest Honda Odyssey for that matter. Does Kia offer one as an accessory? If not it would be a great option. It protects the carpeting if you are transporting a lot of gear, bikes or boxes back there.
The 3rd row seat does fold flat into the floor on the 2019 model. As far as a mat, often times not everything is listed, or newly released models don't list mats until after a company like weathertech can measure and produce the mat. I'm sure that there will be a solution for your issue. You would have to check with the parts department of your local dealer.
The 2019 Sedona's will not be AWD. We do have a 7 passenger Sedona, and we expect a larger SUV in the coming year or so which could be as many as 8 passengers. It will also have AWD.
That's really unfortunate, I swear I'd seen a commercial while I was in Maine that said the 2019's will come with AWD. It's a bit of a let-down that it's not, and the Toyota Sienna is still the lone AWD minivan :'(
I own a 2016 Platinum Carnival Australian version and all these things below are missing also the vehicle consistently steers to the off road side and the dealer says that’s normal, Hogwash.
Jeffrey 50221 I own a 2006 Kia Grand Carnival and it also pulls to the left. My Kmart auto store have struggle to align it every time that I take it for alignment (three different places so far). It looks like it is a problem with the strouts on the front suspension.
Luis Rojas I don’t believe there is a technical fix for your model KIA, in my research I’d take your vehicle to a suspension specialist [fulcrum suspension] explain to them your having issues with the vehicle veering to the off side I know for a fact there is an after market off centred bush designed for a Carnival 2005 to 2014 model, mate I’d bet they have already fitted one to a early model Carnival. With my model there is no adjustment to align my steer ing [outside the square] in fact my 2016 model have a steering sensor fitted to the wheels they sensor your hand pressure on the steering God for bid if I were to take my hands off the steering the car is designed to drift left to avoid an on coming collusion. Its possible due to the weight and size of these people movers some models experience erratic driving anyways you get a suspension specialist to take a look at your issue the off market bush might fix your problem.
It does not come with a DVD player, you'll find those are harder and harder to find in any vehicle. The cost of mounting a DVD player in a car is often more expensive than simply buying an iPad and Bluetooth streaming the audio through the stereo system. As far as the rear windows, yes, the front and centre windows roll down.
@@BrantfordKia I'm wondering why most of the dealers have advertised 4 cylinders online. The V6 is the better model but most are advertised as 4. I guess I better check in person rather then search on dealer ads.
@@michaellyons3643 If those ads are Canadian, or North American, the ad has an error. It is possible that other world markets may have a 4 cylinder diesel engine, but I'm not familiar with that.
The Telluride is our vehicle with available heated and cooled second row captains chairs. At the time that I'm writing this, no other vehicles in our lineup have second row ventilated seats. You can get heated rear seats in several of our vehicles.
I want information on a 2019 Kia Sedona lx I don't want power sliding doors and I don't want push starting ingintion does it come with 8 speed transmission and tinted windows if you can send me some lists of the options and prices
The best thing to do is to contact your local dealer. If that's us, feel free to call us at 519-304-6542. Our sales team would be happy to walk through the features and prices.
The 8 Speed transmission improves driveability, and in real world driving the fuel economy is virtually unchanged. The options are redistributed throughout the model lines. In 2018 there was an LX+ and the next step up was an SX+, now in 2019 there is an SX model in between those trim lines. It's all about giving better packages for the customer.
I'm at minute 1:58 and have already stopped it. You've got the Van right there. Why discribe what the paint looks like? What describe what the fog lights look like? You're a dealer. Bring some video production to the table. Put the van in the proper lighting and do a closeup of the paint. Do a night clip of the fog lights in action and include that. Oh....yea....I know. That's too much work just to sell a high end minivan.
Would you like to book an appointment to see it in person? Our sales team would be happy to show you every detail that you'd like to see. My point is, we ARE a dealer. Not many dealers go through the effort that we do to make videos like this. At the time of writing this comment, this video has 87,000 views on it. We do our best, some of our videos are better than others, but we make these videos for our customers. The fact that we have millions of views means that we're doing something right, but we'll never do everything right. If you'd like to see some of the things that you're asking about, we're not a review channel where you have to rely on our video, we're a dealership where you can come to visit us and see the van in person. That's our goal, to earn your business, to earn your visit to our dealership. We're always trying to improve, but our goal is to see you here, to meet you, and then to meet your needs.
@@BrantfordKia They don't sell anymore cars in North America since 1987, because their cars for the American market were mostly made by Chrysler (a piece of sh*t car manufacturer)! Renault's reputation in North America got ruined by Chrysler!
@@BrantfordKia OMG!!! you replied!! :), we need to trademark that for sure! lol , I'm so in love with the Current Sedona look, the only reason I'm hung up on that stowngo is because I currently live in a 2006 Town&country(life stuff :)), and every night after work, it becomes a presidential suite after those seats disappear, lol. But, when I get out of this phase of my life, a Sedona is definitely on my wishlist. I only wish and hope they won't ruin that current design, fingers crossed! keep up the good work!!
The centre row seats have an assist handle on the B pillar of the car. It's right by the opening of the rear doors about 1/3 of the way up the window when the door is shut. If you look carefully you can see it on at the 6:34 mark of this video.
The passenger seat and driver's seat are the same to my eye, but the power adjustment buttons that are available on the left side of the passenger seat, aren't available on the right side of the driver's seat.
So was I. It has to do with the way they name and break down the model lineup. There is no EX trim in the Sedona, so the SX, is effectively the EX. There is an SX, SX+ SXL, and SXL+ in the SX naming scheme. There is also an L, LX, and LX+ below this model.
Pricing and availability is set by Kia Motors USA for your region. We are in Canada and wouldn't have access to that information. You would have to call your local dealer.
We never list pricing on our UA-cam channel because pricing and features can change over time. For the most up to date pricing, you can visit www.brantfordkia.ca or www.kia.ca
I'm guessing that they keep them the size that they do because of cost. Most minivan buyers are budget conscious and larger wheels and tires cost significantly more than more traditional tires. In Canada where many owners switch to winter tires, this can be an issue. Having said that, I love when designers take risks!
Great question... The Sedona doesn't have one. So here's the secret about those entertainment systems. They're actually very expensive to the customer. An iPad with an iPad holder is often less expensive, and more useful. Probably not the answer you wanted to hear, but at least it's the truth.
He isn't talking about putting a baby in the trunk. If you have your child in your arms and lets say a diaper bag on your shoulder. You can easily open the trunk to drop the bag in and then secure you child.
hi. what are the technology features in kia sedona 2019 SX+. Does this trim has adaptive cruise control, 360 camera? Are the second row seats adjustable (front and back)?
@@crazypanda763 It's best to stop by the dealer to see the differences. There are specs online that can be compared, but sometimes real world space feels different than what a spec sheet says.
On the SX model with the sunroof, there is a special tray that holds sunglasses in the centre console. It's labelled with a small icon showing that it's for glasses.
The Sedona is not available in AWD. We do have a 7 passenger Kia Sorento in AWD, and there is a new larger SUV planned known as the Kia Telluride which will have AWD.
I wear a bright orange shirt, wave my arms around, and still... people see the guys on the roof, not me! :) All kidding aside, they were working on our A/C units for the building that day.
We have another video showing the cargo flexibility of the Kia Sedona, the front seats fold up to create a tremendous amount of floor space, while still allowing proper full sized middle row seats. The third row seats go flat into the floor. So yes, there is one big flat surface.
We have the 16. We use it as a camper. With the middle row pushed forward we fit a mattress in there. It's a really good looking van.

Any idea when the new 2019 K900 arrives?
We don't plan to carry the K900 at Brantford Kia, so I don't have any information on that. Sorry.
November
Excellent review, could you show how the third row seats lower. Thanks
Great idea! I think we'll make a short video showing the various seating arrangements. Look for that soon!
Here you go! ua-cam.com/video/_OslsusNyfI/v-deo.html
Maybe its time to trade my 1995 Aerostar since Ford doesn’t want to build a decent van anymore.
You still have a 1995 Aerostar!! Wow! Yes, it's definitely time to trade up!
Hey a new feature I'd love Kia to come out with: Front electric sliding doors! They slide to the front! The window track would stay in the closed part. The window would come down 2 inches and the door would come out and slide forward as the window finished opening. PLEASE CONSIDER IT. Thanks!
Hi @M Hurly
I don't want that. I would want the Driver and Front passenger doors to slide-forward while the side doors slide-backward, even at the same time.
Rich
awesome video and thanks so much for the info. We are in B.C. and plan to purchase a 2019 sedona in the next few weeks :)
Thanks for watching!
Nice car, what is the cost of this car.
For up to date Canadian pricing, feel free to check out our website www.brantfordkia.ca or Kia.ca
Is there a difference in driving feel between the lx plus and sx? I noticed the sx has driving modes which you can't find in Lx+
There are differences in the cars, but to judge driving feel, that's a personal thing. I encourage you to try one out at your local dealer. If that's us, we'd be happy to let you take them both out, and judge for yourself which one is better for you.
🙋🏽♂️ does the windows in the sliding doors wind down or is it the one at the extreme back?
The front row windows, and second row windows wind down (although they're electrically powered, so they don't technically "wind" down) :)
What is the difference between the 2019 and 2018, is the middle seat for adults or big children
My children are all older
The middle seat can take anyone for shorter trips, it would be less comfortable for an adult on a long trip. There are actually quite a few differences in trim packages for 2020. In Canada, the lowest trim line and several of the higher trim lines have been cut from the lineup and the options have been repackaged. www.kia.ca is the best place to compare the current models.
I want to use this van for full time camping travelling, so I have no need for all of the rear seating. Can I order one of these Van's with no rear seats?
You cannot order one without seats.
Thank you.
Different question, can you pop out any of the seats? Thanks, it's all about space.
Make the next one AWD then I'll buy it
Check out the Kia Telluride. 8 Passenger seating, all wheel drive.
@Brantford Kia have you heard if the 2019 Sedona will be available in AWD?
Luis Rojas I believe you can install an offset Bush to align your steering [outside the square] so it should drive straight.
Luis Rojas KIA contacted me today they sent a bulletin out they are prepared to fix my steering problem.
Jeffrey 50221 good on you mate. Is there a chance that you can upload the techical info from Kia?
Does it come with DVD player, and do the back seat door widow roll down? I'm In Gwinnett. Thinking about it
It does not come with a DVD player, you'll find those are harder and harder to find in any vehicle. The cost of mounting a DVD player in a car is often more expensive than simply buying an iPad and Bluetooth streaming the audio through the stereo system. As far as the rear windows, yes, the front and centre windows roll down.
I can't ever imagine a car this large with a 4 cylinder. Lots of luck driving with 8 people in it.
This car doesn't have a 4 cylinder. It's a V6 with plenty of power.
@@BrantfordKia thank you for your reply.
Who is the maker of the transmission and does it have a timing chain or belt?
Kia makes the transmission. These vans have a timing chain.
Does this vehicle have heated, cooling 2nd row?
The Telluride is our vehicle with available heated and cooled second row captains chairs. At the time that I'm writing this, no other vehicles in our lineup have second row ventilated seats. You can get heated rear seats in several of our vehicles.
How can I buy one
I want information on a 2019 Kia Sedona lx I don't want power sliding doors and I don't want push starting ingintion does it come with 8 speed transmission and tinted windows if you can send me some lists of the options and prices
The best thing to do is to contact your local dealer. If that's us, feel free to call us at 519-304-6542. Our sales team would be happy to walk through the features and prices.
Ok thanks
The 2019 gets less fuel mileage than the 2018. The 2018 sx came with vented front seats standard. The 2019 does not. Where are the improvements.
Great Job.
Thanks for watching!
Sedona/Carnival is amazing, but there is one legendary van: Renault Espace!
Sounds cool... not available on our continent... but still... sounds cool. :)
@@BrantfordKia You ever heard of the French car brand Renault?
@@dinohermann1887 I've heard of them. But nobody sells them in North America.
@@BrantfordKia They don't sell anymore cars in North America since 1987, because their cars for the American market were mostly made by Chrysler (a piece of sh*t car manufacturer)! Renault's reputation in North America got ruined by Chrysler!
I love the Kia look but that stow n go in my opinion is much better than that standie thingie!
We need to trademark "standie thingie"
:)
@@user-qh6nf2ev9s Thanks for watching! All the best to you!
Where is the grab bar to assist with entering and existing?
The centre row seats have an assist handle on the B pillar of the car. It's right by the opening of the rear doors about 1/3 of the way up the window when the door is shut. If you look carefully you can see it on at the 6:34 mark of this video.
Is the passenger seat the same as the driver seat thanks
The passenger seat and driver's seat are the same to my eye, but the power adjustment buttons that are available on the left side of the passenger seat, aren't available on the right side of the driver's seat.
I’m surprised to see cloth on an SX
So was I. It has to do with the way they name and break down the model lineup. There is no EX trim in the Sedona, so the SX, is effectively the EX. There is an SX, SX+ SXL, and SXL+ in the SX naming scheme. There is also an L, LX, and LX+ below this model.
🙋🏽♂️what size rims and tyres are on the 2019 SX trim 🤔
The tires on the Sedona SX are 235/60R18 so that would be 18 inch rims.
When will the 2019 Kia Sedona become available?
We have several available today!
Unfortunately you are not located in my state. How does the pricing compare to the 2018 models?
Pricing and availability is set by Kia Motors USA for your region. We are in Canada and wouldn't have access to that information. You would have to call your local dealer.
When will you export to srilanka..
I have no idea. We're just a dealer in Canada.
What about it's price???
We never list pricing on our UA-cam channel because pricing and features can change over time. For the most up to date pricing, you can visit www.brantfordkia.ca or www.kia.ca
I would like to see bigger tires on Van's. They look unproportioned.
I'm guessing that they keep them the size that they do because of cost. Most minivan buyers are budget conscious and larger wheels and tires cost significantly more than more traditional tires. In Canada where many owners switch to winter tires, this can be an issue. Having said that, I love when designers take risks!
Do the back seat windows roll down?
The middle row windows do come down, the rear windows are fixed.
We’re I can buy 2019 Kia Sedona SXL plus in TX? Thank you
We're in Canada... we wouldn't know who to recommend in Texas. Sorry.
World car Kia in San Antonio
Nice video!
How about rear entertainment
Great question... The Sedona doesn't have one. So here's the secret about those entertainment systems. They're actually very expensive to the customer. An iPad with an iPad holder is often less expensive, and more useful. Probably not the answer you wanted to hear, but at least it's the truth.
4:40 why would you put your baby in the trunk?
dontusehername lol and why would you wave your hands underneath to get the trunk open? That would be entertaining to watch.
He isn't talking about putting a baby in the trunk. If you have your child in your arms and lets say a diaper bag on your shoulder. You can easily open the trunk to drop the bag in and then secure you child.
Is this available in AWD model?
Our Telluride is an 8 passenger SUV with AWD. The Sedona does not come with AWD.
hi. what are the technology features in kia sedona 2019 SX+. Does this trim has adaptive cruise control, 360 camera? Are the second row seats adjustable (front and back)?
Hello. The SXL+ is the model that seems to have most of what you're looking for.
Are the front seats also cooled?
The Sedona SXL and the SXL+ in Canada have ventilated front seats for 2019.
Brantford Kia Canada has the right idea. Unfortunately, I don’t live in Canada. 😡
great video. thank You
Thanks for watching!
Wish they had 4 wheel drive or put the 3.3t on it.
We now have the Kia Telluride with 4wd and a more powerful engine. It is available as an 8 passenger vehicle.
Brantford Kia how big the telluride compared to sedona?
@@crazypanda763 It's best to stop by the dealer to see the differences. There are specs online that can be compared, but sometimes real world space feels different than what a spec sheet says.
Can the second row seat back be folded flat ?
are you sure thats an sx model? sx comes with standard led headlights...
We're based in Canada, our trim lines are named differently than in the U.S. Here in Canada, for 2019, this is an SX model.
@@BrantfordKia Oh i see! Thank you for the reply!
Where is the sun glass holder?
On the SX model with the sunroof, there is a special tray that holds sunglasses in the centre console. It's labelled with a small icon showing that it's for glasses.
In radio mode where is the clock?
I laughed so hard when he said "if you have kids in the back, or you have people" Kids aren't people!
I'm all about the comic relief!
Sedona is great minivan
It is!
is it awd?
The Sedona is not available in AWD. We do have a 7 passenger Kia Sorento in AWD, and there is a new larger SUV planned known as the Kia Telluride which will have AWD.
👍
Kia🇰🇷😘🙆♂️👍
Just yalling he didn't show anything about the car.
Love the guy walking on the roof in background. Lol. Great review otherwise.
Haha! Yeah, they were updating our HVAC system that day. Thanks for your kind words, and thanks for watching!
I see some guy on the roof when the vid starts
I wear a bright orange shirt, wave my arms around, and still... people see the guys on the roof, not me! :) All kidding aside, they were working on our A/C units for the building that day.
Wonderful
Stain resistant? Have you met my kids?
Hahaha! I hear you! They actually work quite well... I didn't say it would be fully kid proof! :)
I mean I'm just so bored.
Ok.
You talk to much my friend
Yeah... but sometimes when I talk a lot, these videos perform better than when I don't say as much.
Can all the seats go flat to haul things. One big flat surface ?
We have another video showing the cargo flexibility of the Kia Sedona, the front seats fold up to create a tremendous amount of floor space, while still allowing proper full sized middle row seats. The third row seats go flat into the floor. So yes, there is one big flat surface.
