    Great review of this model, thanks enjoyed the delivery and clear and concise explanation. Currently have an N8 Ecovacs in repair after 7 months (under warranty) at the moment, seriously considering this brand following your review. :)

      Im still using this Eufy upstairs in my house and its just as good as day one, I currently have a Ecovacs t1 omni on the main level of my house its been about a 9 months in daily use as well as the mopping, so far I haven't had any trouble with it. I would like to be able to purchase a spare battery for it for when this one dies. so far I haven't found one which concerns me a little. finding the one for the Eufy is no trouble, also thank for your nice comment!

I’ve never had to cut anything or hair out of the brushes they seem to remain tangle free… though saying that we don’t have anyone with long hair, but animal hair -never had a problem, I should really at least post a pic of the mop! @Point of My Review Thanks for the review, I'm very impressed by my X8 that I purchased when they first came out. I'm looking for a second vac for my upstairs rooms and this one is right at the top of my list now, thanks to your review.
    I have noticed a little annoying "feature" on carpet that it hops a little going against the run of the deep piled carpets. Looking at your video at 14:52 I spotted a few spots that looks similar to what I get when it "hops".
    I've searched online, but no one else seems to have complained about this "feature"
    Please could you confirm if you have also noticed this and if you have found a way around this?

      Hi! Thanks for your nice comment! I have noticed it’s little hops! But I think it’s just that particular carpet, and it’s only around that place you mentioned, it doesn’t do it on the rest of the carpet, we have much thicker piles and deeper carpet in the bedrooms and it does not do that, my x8 also hopped in the same place leading me to believe it’s just my main carpet, as again the x8 doesn’t do it anywhere else either, also I have noticed it’s only when it’s going back and forth, not side to side, that seems fine!

    • @pointofmyreview
      @pointofmyreview  Рік тому +1

      Yes! Il try carve out sometime to do that for you! Your going to have the exact same setup as me! My LR30 is downstairs and x8 upstairs, my upstairs is a mix of tiles in the 2 bathrooms and carpet on the landing and 3 bedrooms, another bedroom has like a shag pile carpet that it doesn’t struggle with at all.. it’s amazing! I too have a large square footage house, it take the LR30 about 48-50 mins to total clean downstairs. I have a study I don’t like it going into because I keep the dogs out of there obviously I have to keep the door open, and the downstairs bedrooms have their own g30 as there’s stairs between the main floor and the other bedrooms and bathroom and rest of the house etc, so the LR30 just maintains the kitchen, dining room, pantry, lounge and sunroom as well as a small bathroom, And upstairs it takes the x8 about 40-45 minutes, I have LR set to standard suction except for carpets and rugs, that’s on max suction, as well as upstairs with the x8 is max suction, neither have run out of battery while cleaning, and also clean very well!

    • @pointofmyreview

      @@Idkjk971 no problem! For mopping and vacuuming you can set virtual boundaries -for example- under a cabinet that has wires it will just clean up to that virtual boundary , and no go zones you can place over the entire rug or carpeted area, and it won’t mop there, the app is pretty good, I do think the explanations could be better as it took a bit of trial and error, but it’s 95% great! Mine has never had to return to empty itself- it just does it at the end of cleaning, it says the bag can handle an average of 60 empties and I’m coming up on 60 vaccines since owning it, so that will be interesting to see! And yes you can pause it by either pressing the power button on top of the vac or through the app.. the power button also starts auto cleaning when not using the app.

      @@pointofmyreview Hey, I finally got my Eufy L35/L30 last week. Been testing it out for few days now. Do you have issues with it bumping into furniture when it is running around the perimeter? It’s been doing that to me. Bumping into furniture, tables etc. does a good job vacuuming but it is noisy when it bumps. Afraid that sensors might get damaged. The mapping also needs some updating. It does not show carpet areas like other robot vacuum, So hard to place no mop zones. It’s fast though! Just having bumping issues and sometimes can’t dock or find a way back home. Mopping part is good but using a lot of water even on low setting’s. I do not have to wet the mop as they stated. If i wet the mop it is a lot of water to mop with on hardwood.

    • @pointofmyreview
      @pointofmyreview  Рік тому +1

      @@Idkjk971 Yay you got one! is yours running full speed into the furniture?, mine slows down but it does bump somethings but nothing hard enough to cause damage to either the vac or the furniture, i'm sure you know it does have a bumper that when it impacts it absorbs it and tells it to re route, also make sure that the lidar sensor onto isn't blocked, make sure you have removed all foam blocks that were there in the bumper when you opened it, that the firmware is up to date in the app and also remember that the infrared sensors don't work great on black furniture or floors, for my mop I definitely have to wet the pad but I don't have issues with it using too much water regardless of the setting its on its pretty consistent, when you first mapped, you can't interrupt it at all, like pausing it or moving the base, once started you have to let it finish. you could always remap and start a fresh! I don't have a lot of experience with the no mop zones, but when I want it to mop I just telling it what room to mop rather then the whole house, as I have a open plan house and the dining room has tiles, living room carpet and then tiles again in the sunroom area, I just telling it to mop the dining room, then sunroom, and as it travels across the living room carpet it doesn't release water and the carpet doesn't get wet, it mops the sunroom before travelling across all floors mopping the kitchen floor and heading home to the base, maybe try set a no go zone rather then the no mop zone, that does work for me when I have cables under cabinets that I dont want sucked up or wet, and it never does it, let me know how you get on!

    Firstly wow what a beautiful home!
    Got a couple questions if I may… 1. I find the X8 quite loud as they have seemed to use noisy wheel motors, are these on the LR30 more quiet?
    2. Important one for me… Is the width smaller? The x8 I find to be a bit wider than others and struggles with dinning chairs.
    3. Does the base empty the robot well?
    Like you I already have the X8 and G30. For a dumb robot I find the G30 to navigate extremely well but because of a very very thick rug it gets its side brushes absolutely wrecked and tangled beyond repair though. I have the entry level one so it doesn’t do the mag strips, it had to be relegated to upstairs only and it does very well!
    Thanks for a quick upload, I’ve been desperately looking for a review for this.

    • @pointofmyreview
      @pointofmyreview  2 роки тому +1

      Hi! you can ask me as many questions as you would like! 1) I agree the X8 does have noisy wheels motors, it reminds me of a remote controlled car when I was a kid! the motors on the LR30 are definitely more quiet, like the g30's you cant hear them as it moves, 2)the width isn't smaller unfortunately.. mine used to struggle with my dining room chairs, but I found that if I move the chairs out a few inches it can navigate into and around them more easily., 3) it empty the Vac really well.. I was concerned with my dogs hair that it might clog, but so far nothing to report except that its great!
      I hated the strips for the g30 edge you have to almost stick them down so they don't curl up, they are magnet strips really, but are useful in certain situations for that vac,
      If you have any other questions - I I can il be more than happy to answer them.

      Hello! If you want to purchase one and never have the self empty station then I would recommend the Eufy x8 this has a bigger dust collector and somehow compacts the dust and hairs more, I think it’s just the force of the suction, the chamber on the lr30 is smaller in my opinion- saying this it used to clean the downstairs of my home and as far as I’m aware it didn’t get so full it stopped picking up- I have 2 Westies, they don’t lose that much hair but it’s never been a Problem.. I don’t have any rugs but upstairs (where the lr 30 now lives) has extra thick and deep pile carpets and I’ve never had a issue with the brush getting stuck or it now able to move or vacuum, if your rugs have fridge I’d recommend tucking it under..

If the third one is the same, my review of this vac is its absolute rubbish. I've had 2 eufy 30C robovacs for well over a year and not had a single problem. This one however is really bad.

    How do you keep it from mopping the rug/carpet?

    • @pointofmyreview
      @pointofmyreview  Рік тому +1

      You can add a no go zone / no mop zone or a virtual barrier via the app, to avoid rugs and carpets, it works quite well!

      Other brands like Yeedi and Ecovacs have carpet detection on some of their models so the water is shut off when detecting carpets so you can vac and mop simultaneously.

    • @pointofmyreview
      @pointofmyreview  5 місяців тому

      im pretty sure I said in my video that this would not replace mopping, it does keep the floors clean enough until you decide to fully mop yourself. the ecovacs mop spins and exerts pressure, it all depends on how much you want to fork out. this IMO does a pretty decent job, its not designed for liquid spills and getting ketchup off the floor, and as long as you wash the mopping pad it does provide a decent clean,
