Wife and I were in the first class to go the 3 yrs at North (10-12), the first building to open, decades ago (class of '60). You folks rock and brought back wonderful memories, especially the auditorium where we first met during tryouts and practice for the senior class play. We both thank you all so much for the hard work to put on a great performance that brought back great memories.
@kowalski003 I can understand your confusion. It was a big production. However, every element of the project was volunteer. WPSU graciously let us borrow their camera, the camera operator is an alumnus of State High and volunteered his time, a club volunteered funds for decorations. The teachers and students who planned it volunteered their time after school. The cost was next to nothing.
Someone REALLY needs to submit this into a lipdub competition or to a news station! I used to go to State High, and the schools in the area where I live now are submitting theirs and winning money for their school. This is the best one on youtube! Great job guys:)
@Leachiro86 We recorded 'Don't Stop Me Now' so that we could avoid that, and were going to record 'Kick-Ass', as well. We found out the morning of that they were going to use a slightly edited version of both tracks for the actual video. You hear our recording at the end.
I feel proud to say I was a State High boy. Why couldn't WE have done something this rock and roll? Great job on the video, and welcome to the comedies!
It was great seeing State High come together and actually get excited about something for once. Everyone did their own thing- it was a good time. Great job State.
Well, this makes me happy that my high school can actually do this. Also, shout out to my man, rockin' out @6:50. I actually played bass in the recording at the end. That is my contribution to society.
As a State High alumni, I loved being able to see all through the high school again - lots of fantastic memories in that place! Excellent job to everybody involved - I can only imagine the amount of work that went into this. Amazing video!!!
Loved Loved this ! Hope it goes VIRAL! Class of 76'er saying "well done - what fun" Liked the apology / credit to the custodial staff about "sorry about the stuff on the ceiling" Great FUN gig!!
As a State High alum, I've never been prouder of my alma mater after viewing this. Also glad to see that SCXC is still a quirky bunch. Well done, everyone!
We're excited to have you next year! We are also discussing the idea of doing this one more time next year and would love to have the now 8th graders (soon-to-be 9th graders) be involved.
@abcgzfan The custodial staff was amazing and between their work and the work of a small group of student volunteers who helped clean up, the school was clean and back to usual within two hours of filming.
Honestly, when you told me about this idea last fall I thought you were nuts...the logistics of everything involved, let alone the steady cam work to film it... But it turned out well - Good job to everyone involved! What is next...? :)~ -Dwane
Schunk doing what he does best 6:32. I also can't believe you guys installed the elevator that goes from the south building to the north building right after I left. not cool.
this is so good. :) we (Hollidaysburg High School) are doing our lipdub this friday! i can't wait to see how it looks! i can only hope it's as good as this one. :]
I'm from Switzerland. And one of your Student in the grade sophomore [(i think) next year she goes to grade junior] came to our school. She teach us some things from America and she gonna show us this great Lipdub video from your school :)

I forgot some of those rooms even existed in the depths of State High... wow. I haven't even been gone for that long!
Well, this makes me happy that my high school can actually do this. Also, shout out to my man, rockin' out @6:50. I actually played bass in the recording at the end. That is my contribution to society.
Our camera operator used a steady-cam rig. He was amazing.
As a videographer, high school teacher, and SCHS alumnus I'm impressed with this video.

@Kevin Hulburt, Lets have alumni come back for the next one?
Nothing makes me love the human race more or believe everything will ultimately be all right like a good old fashioned giant lip dub.

That "Door Opens "In"" sign at the beginning......I hate that door
