Oh my goodness, it makes me so happy that everyone at Martin did this!!! It's really nice to see so many people gather for one person and one cause :) Thank you everyone at Martin for supporting Tay the way you do, we (her family; parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) really appreciate you -3
I see Martin students at my daughter's elementary volunteering all the time. I love how they all came together to help a classmate. I look forward to my daughter being a Warrior in the future. It looks like a great school. This was wonderful to watch!
Whoops, didn't mean self absorbing. Hahahaha. I meant self absorbed. I love the students and I know they are amazing, caring, creative, and generous. Unfortunately, there are some students who do not work hard and have not gained perspective yet. I am so proud of the students and their participation in lip dub. Amazing video! Martin is a great place to be!!!
Call me "old" or just "set in my ways", but as a rule I view social media as an evil necessity of the world we live in today. Rarely do I come across something so positive that wouldn't be possible without the power of social media in the mix. Hats off to Martin High School and the Arlington ISD! The world needs more of this..
Just ignore 'em, AND BE THANKFUL FOR THE HITS! The more people watch the video, the more money goes to MD ANDERSON! So thanks to EVERYONE who's watching this and especially those who are spreading the word!
God bless her for all that she and her family are going through and that this video shows how people can help and how much her school and the people in it care for her. God bless you.
We are all in it together. I don't even know you guys. You are creating community beyond your own community here. My mom passed at MD Anderson. Together is the only way to find the cure. Go warriors!!!
Very cool. I loved the video you did in 2010 but this one really touches my heart. As a breast cancer survivor, I understand the importance of finding a cure, but even greater than that, is knowing that you have the support and love of family and friends. That's exactly what you did through this video. I am very proud of all of you and I'm sure Taylor feels the love. Great job!
I watch this and see my faith in humanity become restored, then I go to the comments.... But either way, thank you, Martin High School, for everything that you do for Tay and her fight against cancer. You guys really inspire me and my friends, some of which hardly even know Taylor, and it's just so nice to see people working together for a great cause. Thank you
I think it is wonderful that the whole school pulled together for Taylor and standing up to Cancer! You guys are an inspiration for others. Prayers that you raise a lot of money for this worthy cause! Prayers for Taylor and her battle with this horrible disease.
That is nothing short of AMAZING! All that showmanship and not one person tripped or made an inapropriate gesture. Great work! I'm guessing there was a boom box on the camera to blast out the music, and probably a mirror so the persons walking backwards would not run into things. And what exactly is "Free Graig 2012" anyway? Now we need need to see a "the making of" video. Great work guys!
The amazing students at Martin High School are neither self absorbing (sic) nor are they entitled. They're caring, giving, nurturing, mature, spirited, helpful, hard working, talented, creative, and obviously amazing.
Saw you on Fox 4, very fun video to watch! You all did great. I will be passing your link on to all my friends. What fun, wish we could of done something like this when I was in High School back in the 70's.
Dropped by after Fox 4 promoted you guys! I love the way the different classes, groups, and clubs are represented in this video but you guys are all "one" as a school. GREAT idea.. You should be PROUD!
Just saw you guys on Fox 4 news.. Wanted to drop by and watch s glad to see that you guys are doing this. Praying you succeed! What a way to show your support for others.
Hahaha that was great guys! When i heard about this video, it was the first time in a long time that watching the news in Texas made me smile. The world needs more of this.
This is too awesome for words to describe. We appreciate it all SO MUCH! Thank you MHS for helping Taylor and ALL the cancer patients worldwide that are going to benefit from additional research. Beautiful job! Well done! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
As a high school teacher in the area, I want to say FABULOUS WORK!! Don't know how you get those ideas, but you are all VERY TALENTED with alot of HEART. Ya'll should be so proud and CONGRATULATIONS!
I'm so glad and honored to be a part of something as cool as thing for my senior year!! If we could all stand together like this for all kinds of things, it would be awesome
This was amazing! Amazing to trust over 3,000 teen age kids to behave under this controlled chaotic environment! Amazing that two teachers executed this vision to unite a school of self absorbing entitled children to think about someone else. I pray for the Helland family! I am so proud of Martin being amazing and thinking outside the box, AS USUAL! Eat your heart out jealous haters!
Y'all are absolutely wonderful. People like you make me remember that there really are some awesome people in the world. Great cause, great video--I wish everyone the best of luck.
As for "they should be in a class room learning", education isn't just about what you learn from books and teachers. While making this video they experienced problem solving, logistics, teamwork, organization, motivation, planning, etc. Skills they will actually use in the real world. Yes, they got to be silly for a few minutes and have some fun while doing it. Hello! They are still kids! Kuddos to Martin High and everyone involved. You are a truly inspiring group of young men and women.
Whether or not this money is going to cancer or research or straight to the family for help - what does it matter?! These students rallied! Rallied for a cause, rallied for a friend, they rallied for hope! And as an educator myself, I can tell you that giving up 13 minutes of your class time to build community and hope among teenagers is worth it! They are learning something only giving can teach. We should serve each other more! If America is "dying" it's because we haven't learned that yet...
I applaud you, Neasyorc, for being so dedicated to your studies that you were able to spend all of your time at school absorbed in study. I am sure you wasted no time visiting with friends, talking about life, raising money for a noble cause, or planning and executing an event involving several thousand people. I congratulate you on the success you have enjoyed in life by being so focused on your studies. OTOH, a bit more attention in English may have helped you to avoid that run-on sentence.
I'm not sure if everyone heard the amazing news. Martin High School raised $15,000 for Pediatric Cancer Research with this video!! WOW! MD Anderson still needed quite a bit of money to fund the clinical trial and angels responded from above in the form of the BE POSITIVE foundation. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! In honor of their son Andrew, they funded the remainder of the amount. INCREDIBLE! THANK YOU SO MUCH to EVERYONE who participated in the video, pledged to the video, and watched the video!

Omg! WOW. This was amazing. I got goosebumps all throughout the whole thing! You all did so great - everything looks perfect. I go to Seguin High School and uhh..let's just say I'm pretty darn jealous right now.. I have a new respect for you Martin High folk! And I LOVE that this is for cancer! WOOHOO!
Neasyorc, I very much appreciate your well wishes for my daughter. It truly warms my heart that people we don't know, such as yourself, can send her positive thoughts and well wishes. Thank you very, very much for that. If you have a minute, please take some time to donate to MD Anderson. They are doing some amazing things in the area of cancer research, and I am quite confidant that they will find a cure soon. Thank you again and have a great day my friend, -Bob
hahaha that was so great!! i loved seeing some of the same faces that were in the first lip dub, as well as all the new ones. great job you guys! as a fellow warrior, i am proud! :)
My schools lip dub sucked, it was decided that an hour would be enough time to do one, but these things can take an entire day. I hope that if we do one this year it'll be as good as this one
I put this on my blog to help raise money.. I also have a friend at NBC Sports, will try and ask him to put on his national blog as well. Good luck guys...Awesome video!!
Yes we had a Glide Cam HD 2000 that we filmed with and it worked great! And I do intend to say in the general area after High School, and would also like to pursue film for a career in the future. I will defiantly check out the sources that you gave to me. Thank you!
did anyone notice at about 1:57 the guy in the iron man mask almost hit one of the girls with the pies, then the next guy looked like he wasn't going to be able to stop in time...
Daniel, I wanted to personally thank you for viewing the video and helping raise money for pediatric colon cancer research. Martin High School has done this in honor of my daughter, who at 14 was diagnosed with colon cancer. Please feel free to make additional donations to MD Anderson. Mention Martin High School and your generous donation will go directly to the clinical research trial they've started. Neither Martin, nor myself receive any of this money, BTW Thank you again. -Bob Helland
Awesome video! This is what is RIGHT with High School. Kudos to Martin students and faculty! Sending this to friends in California. They should take a lesson from Texas students.
Great job, Warriors! I hope this becomes a tradition, and I hope this opportunity for students to practice creative thinking, planning, and teamwork might be built upon as these applied skills are as important in the real world as many of the subjects they will take.
Believe me, I would very much like to. There are copyright and syndication issues between UA-cam and one of our musical artists so we're not able to make it available on mobile devices right now. We're working on it, but in the meantime, please watch it on a computer and spread the message of 3,300+ teenagers coming together for a common purpose. And donate to MD Anderson. Thanks!
That was very courteous of the record labels to let you use their music in your video for free. It's also good that you asked them for permission first before using their music to generate income for cancer.
It's great that you assume that if I had cancer I would turn to my school asking for some sort of handout. I wouldn't stoop so low as to using a school to get a handout. So where do we draw the line when it comes to asking for money? My father died while I was in high school and I didn't see the school raising money to pay for his funeral but I guess my father isn't in the same category as a girl with cancer. It sounds like you pick and choose who you want to support, great job!
so many times we see only the bad side... congrats to all of you for showing that when the chips are down you all pull together... you made arlington and the entire metroplex proud....
it was awesome :) happy to be a part of it :D but next time, don't put people in the bleachers. no one can tell who's who in there and it makes some feel left out, other wise :D nice job

Talk about a janitors worst nightmare.. lol
lool
these people have mastered the art of walking backwards
Yes they sure have...
Was anyone else impressed when the girl was walking down the stairs backwards?
Blown away by that girl fearlessly walking backwards down the stairs. Definitely the star of this video.
Oh my goodness, it makes me so happy that everyone at Martin did this!!! It's really nice to see so many people gather for one person and one cause :) Thank you everyone at Martin for supporting Tay the way you do, we (her family; parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) really appreciate you -3
I’m 2008 grad of Martin and this brings back memory’s of high school
Thanks Lew Patton for helping to spread Martin's message of hope, unity and love.
I love this so much... my highschool is seriously the best sometimes.
I see Martin students at my daughter's elementary volunteering all the time. I love how they all came together to help a classmate. I look forward to my daughter being a Warrior in the future. It looks like a great school. This was wonderful to watch!

Saw your mention on Fox 4 and had to come view your video. Nice job for a good cause!
Lol I remember being in this unseen lolol
This video is EPIC! AMAZING! Surely there's MORE than 4,000 people - or else you used everyone 3 times! Fantastic - GREAT JOB MHS

such a fun day. crazy seeing everyone coming together to support their school and cancer! (:
Great cause, great music, great work Martin HS! Saw your story on the news this week and had to watch. Loved it!!
I love how it is a real school community moment; everyone got together no matter what clique to support a cause :)
this is amazing work. I hope you all raise lots of money for cancer research and I am so proud to see young people working together for a good cause!
Great job! It's amazing to see what high school kiddos are doing with technology these days! I'm touched by your compassion and generosity, too!

Good job, Martin. You did pretty good on this one as I was apart of the first one. Let's keep this going!
OMG ! This is AMAZING ! In France our Schools are so ridiculous next to yours :o That's soooo coool !
That was a really incredible video. All of you did Great!!!
I am #310 to watch it and I bet it tops a million in the 1st 24 hours.
Arlington helped with fighting cancer too, our student council just didn't think of something awesome like this
We at SHS did our lip dub yesterday so make sure you 2heck it out when it comes out!
This was very inspiring!!!!! Proud of all of you and how you came together for one.
hahaha that was so great!! i loved seeing some of the same faces that were in the first lip dub, as well as all the new ones. great job you guys! as a fellow warrior, i am proud! :)

I’m just watching this in 2021 and I’ve joined this school last year.
Thumbs up if you're choosing these videos based on the thumbnails!

You kids are AMAZING! I love seeing young people pull together for eachother. Taylor, you have some big supporters!!!!
Best ever!!!! This is going viral!!!!! Go MD Anderson!!!!
I thought about starting that sentence with a coordinating conjunction but knew that might have been too subtle. Glad you found it interesting.
All of you did a fantastic job. I hope you get millions of hits! :)
I had so much fun doing this, I really hope we do it again, and who knows, we could raise money for another cause if cancer has been cured.
Great job, Warriors! I hope this becomes a tradition, and I hope this opportunity for students to practice creative thinking, planning, and teamwork might be built upon as these applied skills are as important in the real world as many of the subjects they will take.
So proud you guys got through that without one flip of the finger!
Jackie, your tech department should contact Thomas. He's incredibly talented and he would be a huge asset to the team!
Truly amazing. Wouldn't have been the same without every single person involved
this was published on my birthday
The Classic pie in the face was a nice touch! Mad respect from that end.

This is absolutely fantastic!
You guys did an amazing job! Looks like it was great fun and certainly a great cause. Kudos to you all!
Wow that is an amazing lipdub for high school students. Incredibly well done!
I did, my name is Thomas Rowe and I am in the Film Class at Martin High School.
Thank you for noticing!
1st Lip Dub I have seen and it is great and for a great cause.
Shout out from the other side of town! Great job MHS!
Agreed, they did a great job. Wish we had done these back in my high school days

I was just going to point this out. Serious props to her for not falling down!
so many times we see only the bad side... congrats to all of you for showing that when the chips are down you all pull together... you made arlington and the entire metroplex proud....
Great job! Wishing Taylor the best and everyone that participated!
epic win all around!!! This looks pretty organized and like tons of fun!
Good job guys!! Awesome video!
this is gonna be my highschool in a about a year i’m so excited 🤗
Don’t be...😬
There is a nice article on the Huffington Post website about this video. It's under the Education section.
it was awesome :) happy to be a part of it :D but next time, don't put people in the bleachers. no one can tell who's who in there and it makes some feel left out, other wise :D nice job
I don't know why you seem so insulted. Just because someone is smiling and laughing doesn't mean that they think cancer is a joke. For example my school has a football game every year (this yeah is the sixth year) to raise money for breast cancer. I'm sure that along with this lip dub they did a fundraiser event. Just enjoy this amazing lip dub!
I'm crying. CRYING. That was so amazing.
VERY Impressive! How can one not be inspired to give? Who did the amazing camera work?
Congrats! Just saw on Ch4...good luck!!
well i dont know Taylor or her family but i have about 2500 great friends on FB and im gonna try to make this video go viral for her and her family !!!! great great job guys !! thumbs up for Taylor !!
I like how the girl in the red dress almost fell down the stairs and nobody stuck they hands out to help lol
this is rlyy good camera quality not the best but it is 4 a good cause and probably the best one i have seen good jobb! :)
