Andy Whitfield was amazing as Sparticus. Very sad that he left this world at such a young age. My feelings extend to his family and friends. R.I.P. Andy and thanks for great performances.
What about the Japanese guy that played uncle iroh on avatar?
You mean Mako?
Lord Gains stop telling lies he can't... :'( I can't, I won't believe this
Yeah he should've been at least an honorable mention. He also voices Aku in Samurai Jack, I wonder who'll do it in the upcoming Adult Swim reboot.
Lord Gains Mako! A true legend from my childhood
qwer watch the siege of ba sing sae *pretty much Butchered the spelling* episode
Andy Whitfield still has to be one of the most tragic. Not only was he great as Spartacus, but anyone could see he was young and healthy as well. So sad!
Be here now documentary is so heart wrenching. If you haven't seen it you should. Its Andy's story while he battled lymphoma
& not to mention he was almost 40!
Dear andy r.i.p
*happy music playing*
Watch mojo: “she went home and shot herself.”
It's actually kinda sad. Like bitter sweet.
@@Rhythm1293 exactly 😪
Yeah ....hhhhhhhhh
I couldn’t help bursting out laughing at number seven and yet somehow I feel Mary Kay Bergman would too. Every adult feels like killing themselves after returning from Disneyland. It’s so creepy and corrupt. If you’re not blowing your savings you’re doing something equally dissatisfying.
@@kristinritter9587 Honestly that does sound like something Mary Kay would do lol, laughing at something like that. *sigh* if only she were still here today
bruh i was so mad when they had to put in a new actor in spartacus...
I'm sure he did but it just felt like a different show with a new lead actor.
I was so angry when they did that until i found out that he was sick.
I loved Andy in the role. But I liked the new guy to. For me he is Spartacus the rebel leader. But Andy is Spartacus champion of the arena
I really cryed when I found out about Andy's illness ... In the last episode of the show, after Credits rolled, they show a tribute to Andy. check it out
DatAmazingJan i never known that Andy died untill now. I'm pretty sad cuz he looks great in the role if Spartacus. God bless him
Freddie Prinze was a hard loss to take, as was Will Lee (Mr. Hooper). Jerry Orbach ( Der.Lenny Briscoe) had my Dad & I both upset, we loved him & Det. Logan ( Chris Noth) on Law & Order. RIP all
Orbach! Thanks for remembering him. He was one of a kind. :)
Andy whitfields loss was a real punch in the gut. He was definitely Spartacus!
Dude for real just when he was taking off
Non hodgkins is usually one of the more curable cancers it has something like a 70% survival rate my cousin got it at 17 and beat it with radiation therapy and cannabis oil.
He was clearly loved and respected by everyone involved in the show. They even filmed a prequel series to give him time to have treatment and recover before filming the final season.
In fact, they weren't even going to film a final season when his cancer became terminal. Whitfield insisted that they go ahead with a new actor, because the fans deserved to see how Spartacus' story ended.
It is sad that we have lost all of these talented people, but Andy's is the one on this list that hit me the hardest at the time.
Remember that scene in his room after he just killed Varo, trashed the place and beat his hands to shit? From the moment Mira enters the room i start tearing up. The anguish of loss, the self loathing for the helplessness in the face of futile cruelty... Liam's Spartacus on its own was ok, but he had no chance of matching Andy's depiction of a tortured soul, determinded to see Rome tremble.
Edit/Addendum: Every other character at one point or another brings enough to the table to keep one going till the end, but nobody expect the recast of Spartacus or Naevia capable of filling the shoes left behind
@@bazingaburg8264 That is the scene from the show that really stayed with me. When that little shit put his thumb down, and you realized that his father was actually going to make Spartacus kill Varo I actually felt sick. That scene between them, when Varo tells him to do it and starts pulling the sword down into himself, was almost unbearable to watch. You expected violence and terrible things to happen in the show, but that was absolutely heartbreaking for me because it was completely unexpected.
Liam was always going to be compared to Andy, and he probably knew that going in. But he was cast with Andy's blessing, and I think the fans of the accepted him for that reason.
Almost 8 years later and Whitfield's death *still* hurts. He is and always will be Spartacus.
He needed no script. He spoke with his eyes. 💔
Still hurts the wound he's left still not healed
My sister and I watched that show like some people who watch soap operas religiously. He was a sexy, sexy, hard working man. Phil Hartman was funny as all hell and Chico and the man was so funny at the time. Depression is such a bitch. And drug addiction is too. John Ritter could act in anything and be great. Some I didn't watch their shows but death comes for us all. So sorry to see people who are regulars in our home screens go.
@Sea Bro well we dont care if he does. We will support him the way we can and never forget him. And in that way, he will live forever.
That one hit as well.. I watched the first season, loved it.. I then tuned in the next season, realized that Spartacus was played by a different person and got upset, so I stopped watching.. after a while I decided to find out why he had been replaced.. that’s when I learned he had past away.. that hit me hard and out of dedication and decided I wouldn’t watch it anymore.. he was Spartacus and he couldn’t be replaced in my eyes..
I was incredibly saddened over the death of Andy Whitfield. There is no telling what kind of career he would have had after Spartacus. He was incredible in that role. It was just so very sad. He was only 39, happily married with two very young kids at home. He left a real legacy behind. I'll never forget him.
Andy Whitfield's death really hit me
His replacement Liam McIntyre did a wonderful job in spite of coming after such a beloved actor
Glory Mosby
Amen❤️
Rip
yea he did good
Glory Mosby yea he was a really good actor so they replaced him with another but we will not forget him
I remember reading about his cancer battle but he seemed so positive and was moving forward. I was so shocked to hear he had died 🙏
This got me quite depressed
Ebube Ego-Osuala me too
Ebube Ego-Osuala I have no heart so yea XD
Ebube Ego-Osuala me too I didn't even the character from Spartacus was dead :(:(
me too man....me too
Maybe you're just a pathetic depressed person that needs to comment on here to help with said depression?
Freddie Prinze and Andy Whitfield. Both were talented, both had so much more to give to us all. It's terrible when people die young. Prinze's tragedy was his depression. Whitfield's tragedy was how his body turned against him. I cried when I learned how he died, withering away. Horrible.
Robin Williams killed himself shortly after the show "The Crazy Ones" was cancelled. He will forever be the greatest comedian of all time IMO. 😪😢
RockGod333 yes, another actor who can never be replaced. Pure genius!
Great comedian but not goat of all time.
Nelly Davis IMO means In My Opinion. He is to me. I don’t care who everyone else’s is. Robin Williams is mine. Thank you very much. 😁
@@mikerules666 Robin Williams was the greatest comedian of all time. He was truly amazing. We will never, ever have anyone remotely close to his level of genius. His mentor, Johnathan Winters, was the only other. Nowadays, all these "comedians" feel they have to use the f-word every other word or some other equally foul word in order to be funny. Did Robin Williams swear? Yes, but only occasionally. He didn't need bad language to be funny. He didn't need to rip up the opposite sex to make people think he's funny, either.(yeah, I'm talking to you, George Lopez, Eddie Murphy and the rest of you foul mouthed scuzzes)
Robin had an incredibly rare form of Alzheimers that was manifesting itself physically. His widow later said the doctors had stated that even had Robin not taken his own life, he only had two years left to live. I am not condoning suicide, not at all. Robin had to have been completely out of his mind to do that. It was just a horrific tragedy, period. By all accounts, he was a very kind man, and would literally give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. We are all the poorer without his charm and wit in the world. Robin Williams, for any faults he may have had, was a true mensch. Robin, we miss you.
I really loved that show. His relationship with Sarah Michelle Geller was so good. I miss him too much.
Here for Andy Whitfield. After he passed i struggled with accepting that the show had to continue with a new actor. Finally finished the other 3 seasons but honestly, i always go back to season 1 just to see Andy. R.I.P. ill never forget him ❤
Andy Whitfield. T-T He will be missed.
AnimeLapse very much. His role is sparticus was amazing
dashocker760 He was pretty spectacular. ;-;
Spartacus has never been the same without him :((
andy whitfield was the only spartacus
i stopped watching spartacus because of that
It was heartbreaking when Lee Thompson Young died. I was loving him in Rizzoli and Isles. He should have been on the list.
He was a great Cyborg in Smallville too. Amazing
Famous Jett Jackson
And on scrubs 😔
Andy Whitfield - Thank you for an awesome performance in Spartacus!
i never watched it again after he died
The Grimm I have watched the show many times and will keep on watching it once in a while, that’s my way of hounoring him.
GuyBD ..Idk if I've ever seen Spartacus, but just by this clip, I can tell he an original!
I will never get over Andy Whitfield's death! :'( R.I.P
There is something that makes his death even more tragic and pretty odd. I recently found out that the real Spartacus was born in 111 BC and died in 71 BC, while Andy was born in 1971 and died in 2011. Take a good look at those numbers, what the hell is that? It's like he was literally born to play that role. And take into account how perfectly he performed in it, it was top-notch in my opinion.
GatsuKS You need to ask your mother if you can go out more
Remember that scene in his room after he just killed Varo, trashed the place and beat his hands to shit? From the moment Mira enters the room i start tearing up. The anguish of loss, the self loathing for the helplessness in the face of futile cruelty... Liam's Spartacus on its own was ok, but he had no chance of matching Andy's depiction of a tortured soul, determinded to see Rome tremble! What a talent, what a loss...
Edit/Addendum: Every other character at one point or another brings enough to the table to keep one going till the end, but nobody expect the recast of Spartacus or Naevia capable of filling the shoes left behind
@Niger Nelly We're here to share our admiration for the dead, in this case Andy Whitfield, and how their lives have touched our own. And you would use this space to shame us for not exhausting the list? Fuck you, seriously. You're like a funeral attendant scolding other attendants for not grieving enough or in a way appealing to your sensibilities. So yeah, you go and fuck yourself proper, you reprehensible, shameless tosser!
Tdd
If you had to add movie actors too, gotta remember Brandon Lee when he played Eric Draven in The Crow (1994). RIP Brandon Lee....
Well if you gonna add movies, add Vic Morrow
omg it was so sad.
Yes but they titled it t.v. actors. They need a list of movie actors too
Can’t forget about Eric Draven.

Thank you for including Jon-Erik Hexum. He was definitely gorgeous, with crystal blue eyes, body builder physique, and a deep bass voice that would tie one up in knots if he merely said hello. He was one of the good guys too, a sweet, funny, kind man who’s insides matched his outsides. He was poised to be the next big star when tragedy struck. He was a hero in death, donating his organs so that others may live, Sadly, most have forgotten this beautiful man.
Andy Whitfield. *sigh* But I really feel as though Andy would've gone somewhere in Hollywood had he lived. A shame. He brought a great deal of soul to the character, Spartacus. I was actually expecting him to pull through. His death was a surprise. Liam did a very respectable job, though.
But in the show's defense, they really seemed to support Andy. I was very impressed by that. I remember they held off production just for him and he bowed, having a hand in picking his replacement.
Ya they made Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena while he was in treatment.
I also feel that h would have gone very far in movies/shows, he was truly an amazing actor and I agree that he did a good job when he recommended Liam :)
Have a nice day :)
John Ritter, along with John Candy and Robin Williams, hurt a lot. I watched Ritter with my dad while my dad was alive. I still watch three's company and think of both Ritter and my dad.
Guy Zandler Have you ever seen that scene from Mork and Mindy where’s he’s talking to Orson about the loss of a friend. I saw that and started crying because when Robin Williams died it felt like losing a friend.
And because of John's death they changed the title of the show to "8 Simple Rules"
Can't watch Clifford the big red dog reruns with my nieces and nephews without shedding a tear hearing his voice
Guy Zandler. Robin Williams was shocking. We never know what another human being is going through.
Guy Zandler I feel the same way about Ritter. My mom loved Threes Company and she died last year.
Don't know how many of these are counted as tragic deaths or if they are involved enough with the show, but here are some other actors dying during production or while their roles were still active:
Elisabeth Sladen - Sarah Jane Smith (The Sarah Jane Adventures/Doctor Who)
Dan Blocker - Eric "Hoss" Cartwright (Bonanza)
Christopher Reeve - Dr. Virgil Swann (Smallville)
Roger Delgado - The Master (Doctor Who)
Scatman Crothers - Jazz (Transformers)
Rock Hudson - Daniel Reece (Dynasty)
Andy Whitfield was such a remarkable person, I think had he lived he would be one of our most successful and treasured actors today.
I agree! Rip
Nobody can be as special and cool as Whitfield he will rest in heaven married and everybody will eventually go…
Phil Hartman was a pure comedy genius. His poor children were sleeping in the next room during the murder/suicide. It was horrifying.
Yeah, that truly devastated me. I loved Phil. I like how they barely mention SNL where he was a GOD.
seriously all thanks to his vindictive wife that was jealous of his stardom and fame and just couldn't take being a back seat to him... It shows some girls will throw it all away if they're not perceived as the most beautiful star in the room + drugs to...when in all reality she should have been happy and supportive for her husband...people think girls can't be abusive or if there's domestic violence it's automatically the guy that's plenty of girls that are abusive they'll hit their boyfriend cuz I know the boyfriend won't ever put hands back on them ...on top of that most girls know if they just pretend to be the victim most people will be sympathetic for them cuz one either they look good or two there just a little petite girl there's no way that they could be a danger to a person let alone a man smh double standard if you ask me
Sad thing is Phil eas very much in love with his wife ...i guess if it was anyone who was going to shoot him he would want it to be her , hope they are together somewhere ..it's what Phil would havd wanted . I knew Phil Hartman ..i used yo work at the building he used to design record covers at ! He was a great arttist also and spoke highly of his wife ..guy was so in love .
J Dice How old were the children? How was the tragedy discovered? Hopefully not by the kids.
@@tiffanymarks9609 I don't know what the children saw the night their parents died. I have never heard anything about them seeing their father after he was shot or their mother with the gun before she shot herself. The son Sean was 9. He was running out of the house when the police were arriving and a shot was heard. This shot was the mother, Brynn Hartman shooting herself in her locked bedroom. Birgen, their 6-year-old daughter was still inside the house, but not in the bedroom where Brynn was. Brynn and Phil argued before Phil went to bed. He was sleeping when she shot him three times. There's no evidence the children woke up. I would be interested to hear their version for confirmation, but evidently, they slept through the shots that killed their father. Brynn left and confessed to a friend. My initial reaction to hearing that was, "How could she leave her children home, sleeping while their father was dead in bed?" After thinking about it, I'm relieved she did. In her frantic, violent, and suicidal state of mind, she might have convinced herself her children would also have been better off dead. Parents tend to think of their children as an extension of themselves. Suicidal parents have hurt their children thinking that the children will not recover. Brynn's friend did not believe her. They returned to the home, he saw Phil dead in the bed and called 911. Brynn locked herself in the bedroom and shot herself as the police were arriving. It may have been the friend who woke the kids, to get them out. They may have heard him pleading with Brynn. I'm not sure. Brynn's sister and husband took them in and raised them. They are doing well now. I'm sure they miss their father and even their mother. It was a truly tragic night.
You forgot Robbie Rotten
I can´t find anything about him being dead(?)..
K.S. L. Their was a parodied video and the whole video was Robbie rotten
p0rtalboss3566
I know now..
I just don´t understand why people keep saying he´s missing on this list..
Different kind of humor I guess...
Have a nice day.
K.S.L. Thanks! you too!
GD Colon omg i watch your vids their awesome i subbed omg omg
John Ritter's death absolutely stunned me! And you forgot to mention that John Ritter was the voice of Clifford The Big Red Dog. R.I.P. John...
I never knew 😢😢😢
Such a treasure that I never knew 😢
And now I'm In tears 😭😭😭😭😭
Rip
Nancy Cowens ... Love John! RIP Mr.Ritter!
Omg really
I loved him in Slingblade too. Love love loved that man.
kelly st. clair ..me too!! Ritter was the man!
Andy Whitfield 💔
Forever in our hearts. No actor could ever play Spartacus better than you. We will never forget you...
R.I.P 🥀🛤
spartacus😭😭😭❤❤
SwellWolverine 😢
McIntyre just didn't have the same smoldering intensity.
SwellWolverine I didn't know about his passing!!!! 😢
rey ros I was devastated
+Meme Iselfaneye McIntyre didn't have Whitfield's good looks. Damn, was he fine!
Robin Williams had already ended his show the Crazy Ones, but for me he's the one that hit me hardest.
So true, he was a genius actor.
VALENTINEproductions That show was pretty good too. Wish it had taken off.
My uncle actually wrote for that show. The spring before Williams's death, I was supposed to fly out to LA and spend a day with him at work on set, maybe even get to meet Mr. Williams. Unfortunately, his husband slipped on some ice and broke his back a month before I was supposed to visit them both, and I never got the chance.
VALENTINEproductions I wonder if it's cancellation was a contributing factor to his suicide
VALENTINEproductions it still hits me especially when we see some of his greatest movies. I don't think we're ever going to find someone like him ever.
Phil's wife was WRONG for taking him away from his children...
How do you know?
She took herself away from them too. Of course she was “wrong”. She was mentally ill.
Mimi B Wikipedia
Indeed! :(
@@suekelley2109 It's not an excuse; she didn't take her recovery seriously and continuously relapsed.
Phil Hartman's and John Ritter's sudden deaths affected me the most. RIP
Same here, and Jon-Erik Hexum as well.
Yes two incredibly talented men!
Andy Whitfield was the one that hit me the hardest because I loved the character he played, but also his acting. He would've blown up after Spartacus. He could convey so much and not say a word. The only other actor I've seen do that so well is Mel Gibson.
Steve Irwin hit me the most. RIP crocodile man..
This was a shocking tragedy. As much as he knew about wild life.
R.I.P Jim Henson😭 we will never be forgotten
Andy Whitfield couldn’t be replaced, He was The Original and the Best!!! He’s greatly missed 😢🙏🏽❤️
LiSa MaRiE But he did a good job when he recommended his friend Liam to replace him, si wish that more people would hounor and respect that, but sadly many totally stopped watching the show.
RIP Andy.
Have a nice day LiSa😊
I agree with you, btw I still watched it. It just wasn’t the same 😢
K.S. L. Yea I hope he finds peace
You have to admit the replacement was still a good actor
Andy Witfield was the real deal Spartacus wasn't the same without him
Andy whitfield still missed to this day. An awesome actor a great guy
Andy Whitfield R.I.P. Such an amazing actor, father and husband!! Gone too soon!!! Makes me soooo sad!!
Ditto!!! I just re-watched Spartacus and Andy W. was such an expressive actor ... those beautiful eyes ... ugh!!! So, so sad. I also watched the documentary Be Here Now ... what a lovely man and, yes, gone too soon.
TheVictorb69 the actor they replaced him was a complete fuckin disgrace to him and the role of spartacus. Truly the man had made the show much interesting.
Watch the episode , " Old Wounds " . Its the one where he dying from an infection from a wound . It hits home .
My favourite is always "The Thing in the Pits"
We never had even close to enough of him on screen, in movies and TV alike and he was gone.
I have always been fascinated by Spartacus and Andy Whitfield brought him to life for me. I finally was able to watch the rest of the seasons this week after putting it off for almost 5yrs and will admit that Liam McIntyre embodied the role, Andy brought Spartacus back to life. May his soul continue to rest in peace.
Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz are two of the greatest characters in the Simpsons. He was a fantastic writer and friend; he was "The Glue" on SNL and he really was beloved by his coworkers. I love him and hope he can finally rest in peace.
the most depressing one for me is Andy Whitfield because about 3 years ago I was 11 I watched Spartacus even tho I wasn't supposed too amd when a new actor came on I didn't know what happened, so I googled it and found out how he died and broke down right then and there.
John Ritter was the most sad for me.
MncDssctn same ): he is a legend.
MncDssctn I like Three's company.
MncDssctn Yeah. John Ritter was the king of slapstick comedy in my book. His sudden death shocked even me. How would "8 Simple Rules" go on without him?
R.I.P. the father from Problem Child
Spartacus was sad too. Younger than Ritter with small kids.
Spartacus will never be the same without Andy. He brings out the rage the rage inside me
Best season of Spartacus is season 1 bcz of Andy..😥
My heart still hurts every time I even think about Phil Hartman and John Ritter. :'(
Mine too. Both of them were such great actors
i know right erica uncle john as i call him i miss him very much i go up to his grave site when i can and visit him and pay my respects theres a penny on his grave stone that my aunt i think put there or one of my cousins every time i watch a movie or tv show i start breaking down but i also remembred what he told me to laugh and the whole world laughs weep and you weep alone so i do a little bit of both when i watch comedy or movie hes in i still love my uncle john to this day hes one reason i became an back screen actor for tv shows and movies take care god bless and i see you soon uncle john thank you erica for saying that about my uncle john god bless you erica and take care
Yes. Mine too.
@@johnstone7073 that is very sweet knowing there is always someone there. I always loved his movies (My favorite:real men) but now I cherish em💝
Phil Hartman died ten days after I was born
I was so deeply saddened by John Spencer's passing.
I loved him in everything he ever starred in, but The West Wing as Leo McGarry and on L.A. Law as Tommy Mullaney before that, those were two of my favorite roles John inhabited so perfectly.
I thought he was so wonderful in The West Wing.
If you were going to become the president of the United States, you wanted Leo McGarry as your Chief of Staff.
You needed Leo McGarry as your Chief of Staff.
Leo didn't take much crap but he sure was quick with a snappy comeback.
I was stunned to discover John was only 58 when he died.
I turn 58 next month.
That's too damn young.
Of a heart attack, too.
John had one of those great voices.
Sounded like he probably smoked way too damn much but it just gave him so much great character.
Truly one of our most gifted under actors.
He died many years too young.
Way before his time.
2005. R.I.P. John Spencer. AND Leo McGarry.
That death truly broke my heart.
Rip Andy Whitfield.. never forgotten
Amen “I’m Spartacus!”
Forever in my heart just finding out
Rest in peace Mary Kay Bergman! We will remember you always 💖
If she was still alive, she'd be known as the voice of Timmy Turner instead
Jon-Erik Hexum 💗 May be rest in Paradise 💗 he would have been the biggest actor in Hollywood history- I have no doubts about that. Most beautiful man that ever lived. He is dearly missed and loved 💗
I still miss Phil Hartman so much, it hurts.
The loss of John Ritter shocked me and taught me about death. I was a teenager at the time and really liked him.
May they all rest in peace.
Nigel Nelson
Expect you wrote “ya’ll very heartless people only talking about Andy” in a bunch of sektions who dis not even once mention his name, but were talking about other sad death.
All death are sad, bot some know some better and were more effected by it..
You are a heartless person using other peoples sadness to make yourself feel better...
Shame on you!!
man i just rewatched spartacus last weekend he did a damn fine job in that 1st season dont get me wrong his replacement was nice too but its weird not seeing such a iconic face anymore
no Lee Thompson Young? The Famous Jett Jackson? His death hurt the most i grew up watching him in that awesome show
nate the great 81 he died when he was a part of rizzoli and isles casting...
nate the great 81 He was one of the main Regulars on Rizzoli and Isles, and it was very sad. They paid really nice tributes to him though. Even 2+ seasons after it happened they still talked about him, or made references to him.
i was just about to comment about him but you and im sure others did too. miss that guy. used to watch him disney too
he did pass away during production thats how he was found during checkups
Oh man Cory Monteith death really hit me hard even just watching that clip of him made me tear up as I’m a very devoted glee fan and was at the time of his death and I was only 13 but I’ve seen the show since I was 9 and I just cried and cried, just couldn’t believe it and now I got a tiny “5” tattooed on my finger in memory of him R.I.P
Respect. That's a good way to honor someone
Andy Whitfield..On his way to become a legend...I started watching Spartacus, and i didnt know he is gone..Then i saw it..Although i dont know him like other actors..I felt sadness..Really i miss him, without even knowing him..I dont know what to say..
"Spartacus" was never the same after Andy Whitfield died. That stated, the new actor grew on me.
Well Andy recommended him so :)
K.S. L., yeah, I've heard that.
Robin Williams, I cried when I heard he died .
Was he involved with a TV show at the time?
SteelersXCountry
Not sure , I don't watch tv .
CK Stone Then that's probably why he didn't make it on the list
SteelersXCountry
I think he was getting ready for a second Mrs. Doubtfire .
CK Stone that's a movie, this was for TV shows
The horrific deaths on the filming set of "Twilight Zone: The Movie" (1983) was shocking and heartbreaking.
What about the girl from My Sister Sam? She was murdered by a stalker and the series forced to fold. Can't remember her full name at the moment but I think her first name was Rebecca. Then there were Jerry Orbach (Law & Order) and Miguel Ferrer (NCIS: Los Angeles), whose impending deaths from cancer were written into their series.
Rebecca Schaeffer was her name.
You're right. They should've been mentioned but they weren't. They didn't even mention the actor who played NYPD Detective Martin Frost who died before the season finale. They put it that his character Detective Frost died in a horrible car accident on his way back from visiting his mom. They had shown the video where a funeral service is held for the character. They just didn't mention the actor's name.
Me and Rebecca Schaefer was the same age but she should have been on this list too
You’re right! Rebecca’s death resulted in a lot of the stalker laws even... as there were none before that. She definitely should have been on this list!
I believe my sister Sam was cancelled before her death but it was certainly worth a mention
The actress who voiced Mrs. Krapabel also died during production of the Simpsons I believe :(
Marcia Wallace, died of pneumonia 10/25/13.
JackOfAllRAIDs there are only 12 months in a year you idiot.
Americans do it month/day/year, do research before calling someone an idiot
United Gamers exactly we do month date year example 1/8/17
John Ritter hit me hard when I was a kid. The episode that deals with his death was so gritty and emotional, especially for a comedy. I cannot believe there are people here who don't know who he is. He is a legend....NOT PAUL WALKER. And I wish Harris Wittels was on here. I get that he's not as well known, but to his fans, his death was (and still is) devastating and a huge loss to comedy.
Daria i liked him in problem child
Andy was my favorite actor, I fell in love with him in Spartacus!!! He is greatly missed. His replacement did a very good job, but losing Andy was so very sad!😭😢
Andy Whifield was about to break out. Tragic.
@Niger Nelly like cory monteith so sad i had cryed so much
@Niger Nelly coz they're fans of Andy. Is that so fucking hard to understand?
Since we're talking about The Simpsons, we seem to be forgetting Marcia Wallace. Phil Hartman's death was under worse circumstances, but still...
And thank you for including Jim Henson. As a child, his was the first celebrity death I actually cried over.
but robbie rotten
rip the net killed him
Vlad Das Mordes YOU EMBARRASS THE POPE
deus vult NO DON'T BESIEGE CONSTANTINOPLE
deus vult you fucktard he's not dead
+Mikhail Leehan just shut up
Andy Whitfield really got me. I loved him as Spartacus.
Andy Whitfield :(
8:37 A B C D E F g-cookie monster (stares offended) haha that'll never get old
It's sad majority of these people died off of depression or killing themselves because after the drugs are gone the fame and your by yourself that shit could be so lonely and depressing that you fell as there's no point or meaning to live any more...that's why I've been trying to tell people just you being nice to a random person can save someone's life I know hindsight is 20-20 after the fact when people do that but just by being nice to someone cuz you don't know what's happening they having a bad day or whatever can end up saving a lot of lives or that one person's life
We will never forget you, Phil Hartman.
*_"I am Spartacus!"_*
I think making a countdown list about this subject is kinda tasteless. It's if one death is more significant than the other.
rip Bill Paxton
Yes. Bill P. was one of my favorite character actors.
Dylan Thomas
Bill Paxton from Twister, Titanic, and Aliens???
This was posted before Bill Paxton died.
I watch Twister every time it comes on..
CHETT......weird science !!!
Andy you will always be the bringer of rain!!
How about for the next list, you do Tragic Singer Deaths, and include Wada Kouji on that list.
james howe That was only for deaths involving drugs and alcohol. Kouji died from disease.
LegoGnocchi ronnie James dio will always live on in my heart, his music was epic and his voice was legendary
ozzman123 What happened to him?
LegoGnocchi he passed away in 2010 due to stomach cancer, but that didn't stop him from touring and writing music, he as working on a sequel to his album Magika
Probably best know for his songs on Digimon Adventure and the third squeal, Tri.
Phil Hartman, I still remember how I felt and I was just a child then. Just a sad and unnecessary early loss.
I Think About Andy Everyday, He's A Loss To Us All :'( ♡
R.I.P ♡ SPARTACUS ☆ ♡
Much Love To Vishnah & Your Beautiful Children XOXOXOXO ♡
Rest In Peace to those actors. We will never forget them.
I'm honestly kinda shocked Anton Yelchin and Trollhunters wasn't on here, his voice work on that show was perfection.
Andy really got me, I was hooked on Spartacus from the moment it came out, Liam was still great, but he couldn't replace Andy. Liam did a remarkable job trying to live up to Andy though, RIP Andy and much respect to Liam for trying to follow in his footsteps.
RIP Andy. The guy who left such a big impression on millions in such a little time. I don't have many regrets in life but one of them is not being able to ever see you in person. Until we meet again in heaven.
Andy Whitfield documented his fight with cancer in his documentary "Be Here Now"
I remember the double whammy from "Night Court." Comedian and TV writer Selma Diamond, who played bailiff Selma Hacker, died of lung cancer in 1985 after the show's debut season. Her replacement, comedian Florence Halop, died at the end of the very next season, also of lung cancer. Mindful of this, the show's producers made sure the next replacement, comedian Marsha Warfield, was not a smoker.
Strange, I only remember Roz Russel's character. Thanks for this information!
Florence Halop died of breast cancer.
gregory Smith , Thanks for the information, I didn't think or know of that, Night Court was a good show!
Nigel Nelson ???? Nobody mentioned Andy in this sektion, but I see you commented in loads of sektions, acting like some kind og saint...
People miss the once they miss, you can’t blame them for feel the way they feel because that actually would be heartless...
Just saying..
I knew the character Roz Russel from "Night Court" had died as well as the actress who played her, but I didn't know there was a character before her who also died and the actress who played her died. I'm just glad that Marsha Warfield didn't die. Harry Anderson had died this past year in 2018. I forgot what he died from. I think he had a heart attack but I'm not sure.
Spartacus will always be our hero 😢 ❤️
Cory Monetiths death was the most tragic in my eyes. His death literally affected me so much, and I didn’t even meet him. It still hurts to see him in these clips😭🥺😖
Your missing
Jack Soo died on Barney Miller on television in 1979
Jim Davis died on Dallas on television in 1981
Molina Long you’re
Jon Erik Hexum was gorgeous!!! He was rising up fast. Signed a 3 picture movie deal before he died.
How crazy was his death!! Hot for sure.
He was pretty dumb tbh
What about Robbie Rotten?

SPARTACUS hit me most... because i'm a SPARTACUS fan and he iprotrayed the character well... I will forever miss him..
RIP andy...and condolences to.the family
Awh man, Andy Whitfield was a legend :( RIP
You forgot Justin Bieber getting shot in CSI.
That was a character not the actor who died...
The make believe character Justin Bieber was playing died not Justin Bieber.
hydrolito I think he knows that
Allison Shenanigans -Damn!!
I really enjoyed that, but he didn't really die.
Andy Whitfield should have been #1
It's an absolutely AMAZING show, and, although he does fairly well in the role, his replacement, Liam McIntyre is a hollowed husk of a Spartacus compared to him!
TWSTF 8 It was actually Andy who recomended Liam.
Liam had a very hard time trying to fill Andy’s shoes and I (for one) think he did an amazing job.
Have a nice day😊
Nigel Nelson
Really...
John Ritter! Absolutely broke my heart when he passed. Like losing an old friend.
That John Ritter death shook me bad. I loved that show (mainly because of Kaley Cuoco 😍😍) but it just wasn't the same after he died.
Bullshit! What about Lee Thompson Young? He was such a major character on Rizzoli and Isles which they never manage to fill the gap left by his death :( They even had an episode dedicated to him which I legit cried over!
😥😥😥
Barbus ... yes, he was a good guy, nice- looking, used to watch him as Jett Jackson when my daughter was younger, he was a very good actor, his show was very new when he committed suicide! RIP .. so young!
RIP to every person that died 😔🙏🏼
I never knew Mr. Henson died of TSS. My Aunt passed from that a handful of years ago. She let her illness go too long and went into the ER just hours before her Temp hit 108 and she fell into a coma. She was flown to a larger hospital where she died a week later. She was so toxic that her organs were shutting down and the whole family had to suit, glove, and mask up before we could go into her room to say goodbye.
Such a sudden way to die.
