I've had to learn to play differently after 35 yrs of playing, so I break chords in parts and squeeze them into the same measures, it's harder but doable and that's what matters. Keep on trying friend!

It's a constant struggle, and i never stay in a comfortable spot because you stop improving. There are so many techniques rhythms, chords and scales to learn and practice. I spend the last few months learning all minor and major scale modes. Now I'm sitting here and even though that's a pretty significant and important thing to know, compared to a genius like the dude in the video, I've made basically no progress. Learning a different style song feels like learning a new language. I suck major ass.

Mr.Kumis No shade being thrown here just adding to the conversation. MOST people can’t walking bass and sing but most musicians who sing and play (that aren’t beginners) CAN do it much more easily than those other levels.
