    I just made this cake and it turned out amazing. Two things I did differently is I used self-raising flour (omit the baking soda) and reduce the sugar to 90g - as the cempedak I used is already sweet. Came out perfect!

      Thanks for the tips I reduced the sugar to 90gm and the sweetness is just nice, not too sweet

    I split the batter into 2 pan and reduced the time. Turned out perfect. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

    i have just tried this out..but reduced to half of the ingredients for smaller pan. .came out super soft n yummy...bless u for the yummy recipe ❤️❤️❤️

    Halved the recipe, baked using muffin cups. Lessen sugar by 10g. Still, very sweet. Can still reduce. However if you have sweet tooth, then lesser by 10g should be perfect for you. I substituted half of the butter with sweet potato puree. It's soft and moist. Saves butter. 😆

    I make this cake yesterday. Cake turn out dense. Texture heavy wonder what the reason. I reduce sugar 50gm just nice cause chempedak is sweet

    Teacher...i made 1/2 of the recipes but it didnt turn out well. The texture inside is very dense like kuih... could i use 3/4 tsp of baking powder instead of 1/2 tsp?

    I don't know this fruit and I've never eaten it and I don't know if I'd ever eat it... I hope to taste it at least once in my life.

      This Cempadak fruit is just a particular kind of Jackfruit. It’s just slightly more fragrant than other types of jackfruit. Usually eating it fresh as it is, Cempadak is not as nice since it’s kinda slimy and too soft in texture. Eating fresh (like an apple) then eat other types of Jackfruit is nicer. Their flesh is firmer.

      Cempedak different fruit than jackfruit, cempedak more smell n soft than jackfruit

    I bake with shorter 7inch baking tin, using self raising flour, 35min 170C already done, and outcome very dry :(, when cut it, crumble fall, but taste is nice, can i know why?

    Hi Kathrine. My cake turned out to be dense inside. Is this because of overmixing? I noticed the batter texture was not as smooth and fluffy after adding the last egg, it looked grainy. The ingredients were all room temperature.

      150 gm of sugar is not too sweet just nice. My receipe is 190 gm of sugar. Just ok
