So funny I just happened across this video and recognized your shirt. I live in Kissimmee and did my PPL at Warbird Adventures in their Citabria. Just bought my own airplane a Beechcraft Sierra and was seeing how simple it was to change the oil on my own.
I found that a piece of aluminum angle stock or similar about 2ft long placed under the oil filter works as a nice channel to direct the oil outside the cowling into a bucket. Might take some finagling to get it just right and limit how fast the oil flows initially and you can catch/redirect all the oil into a bucket without any mess.
hi shane, i think that your ziploc technik is really cool, i am a A&P in argentine and we are glad we didn´t make such a mess...goes👍...🙌🙌🙌

Warbird Adventures is one of my yearly stops when in the area.

Great idea!
What inner diameter hose did you use to drain the oil from the oil drain valve
Hi. What are the minimum ,maximum and ideal oil levels in the Piper Pa28 fleet? Thanks in advance?
Drain a few seconds of oil first, then take your sample. (oil change 101)
You showed nothing about the connection.
