@@ControlledPairsGaming There were cases where false wells were used to hide cell leaders in Iraq and Afghanistan. At one point a unit was cleared during the search and clear operations in Afghanistan wear cleared to start throwing grenades down the wells because insurgents had made bunkers out of them by shooting from them then hide in the well.

I didn't really like it tbh. It was cooler if every soldier you choose was unique. Eventually they're all identical when you put the time to spade them.

Doesn't really matter because your guys respawn. You could just use the same guys everytime and build a core group super quick.
First, a curious design quirk you can make use of. If you crouch, enemies can't engage your operators over cover and vice versa. It's one hack to get your operators to hold fire and not shoot unaware enemies in the back while you're still getting into position. Your operators will also not shoot if they are crouched while moving.
This is a fun map for excessive grab'em by the belt buckle tactics. Half the team can cover the east and west side of the first building while the others dash towards the northern wall where they are relatively safe as any counter-attacking defenders are cut down if they leave the building or circle around it. From there you can blast a hole into the northern storage room and quickly overwhelm any defenders still in the building. Of course, we assume the intel on the hostage position and room layout is as definitive as the game suggests.
Great layout for illustrating the fundamentals, for sure. That flanking route is pretty convenient, though.

Same here! I played Door Kickers 1 on my iPhone waaay back but didn’t get the charm of the game and quickly put it down. Now years later I was recommended a DK2 video from CPG and immediately went out and got the game after watching. 👌

Man, I really loved this series for brushing up on my tactics. This game is a uniquely powerful training tool. Id really like to hear your thoughts on how often hand to hand is something you have to worry about in CQB. Like being charged by a dude with a knife or having your weapon manipulated by the enemy.
Meh, it could happen. Guns are better. Grenades are better than guns. Bombs are better than grenades.
Can't wait until they add the feature of being able to watch your own replays. THAT would flow like water. 👌

I'd have probably put a saw gunner to hold security behind that first truck on that northeastern angle while having 2 riflemen moving down that eastern flank and have the other guys secure that western flank after securing northern side of the building which is basically What u did here lol. Good to know I got ppl that think like me in this game

Just wanted to give you a heads up, the next level was very tough for me. Some enemies are armed with SR3-M assault rifles firing AP ammo. These absolutely annihilated any of my guys that took hits, killing them in 1-3 shots. Combined with their fairly fast acquisition time, they were incredibly deadly. Not sure if this is intended behavior, but it took me quite a few tries to complete the mission. Good luck!

Yeah they rotated this one upside down. I just played missions for a few hours and then I am watching these vids and didn't recognize this level right away.

Hmm, seems kind of pointless having marksmen in game if the basic assault class is able to hit cross compound targets reliably. Perhaps they become more viable late game when the enemy types (presumably and based off Door Kickers 1) become more difficult and more heavily armoured? If not, maybe they should've gone with a breacher class instead and make certain weapons/equipment primarily available to them.
Really enjoying the series though, man. Definitely earned yourself a new subscriber from me.

Excellent as always! Have you played the old "SWAT 4" game? It's pretty ancient now but I'd be interested to see if you can implement your tactics there. It's basically Door Kickers but in first-person and you still have squad control like this.
It's been a long time, but I did play it years ago. May be time to find a copy again, though.
The AI seems bad if %90 of them walk into an ambush, one after another and you only had to move 1 step from your spawn.
Rough week ahead, but this video already made my day! The breach on the hostage area was incredibly smooth and satisfying.

What’s the thoughts on having a ladder to see over compound walls.? Depending on the raid, we’d use ladders with DM’s to cover the outside area while the assault team breaches.
It would add yet another element of realism that I would love to have

The game starts as a prep phase where you make a plan to attack or defend (depending on what team you are on)
Then both teams plans play out for a certain amount of time or maybe firat contact
Then you have another prep phase,
Watch that play out,
Repeat until one of the teams wins
i am not the pro guy at these knowledge, and its a really good video for that,
but hope thats more picture or graphic or the in game system to help improve those too.

I’d like it for planning if you had a “straight line” function, I don’t love the freehand style of drawing paths because it looks a little sloppy sometimes. Plus maybe a “match to” function, where if you plot a path for one soldier you can attach another to that path if you need multiple angles covered

It's a combination of many many documents, too many to link, honestly. Start with the Ranger Handbook and FM 7-8 and TM 3-21.8. Fundamentals.

Not yet, game is in early access. Previous game had silencers, so we hope they are going to be implemented.
