This is what Pro Stock should have migrated to 15 to 20 years ago. Pro Stock lost it's way when they started letting the cars be sliced and diced and sticking with out of production engines for so long. They completely lost the Stock in Pro Stock. F/X will hopefully take the place of P/S with all the manufacturer fights like the old days.
This class is going nowhere's way too expensive and pro stock is here to stay buddy

Coyote’s are a damn good motor. Never thought I’d say that. Fords putting the work in. I run my PU on E-85. Would love to have a car on it.

What's the difference between factory X and factory Stock?
Is it 2650 with driver on board?
Curb weight. No driver.
Hopefully we'll soon see a bunch of obsolete Pro Stock cars on Racing Junk. This class isn't exactly what I was hoping for but it's close enough. If there are full fields in 2024 I'll come back to the track for the first time in about a decade.
Probably cost more than a top fuel car
I hope this class is not NHRA trying to dethrone the Ford Mustangs domination of the Factory Stock class. Supposedly NHRA was concerned about the speed of the factory stock cars on stock chassis, thus the tube frame class. Has there been an incident in factory stock to warranty that concern? I'm not aware of one. If factory X turns into another all Camaro class it will be a shame. Pro Stock is a bore.

BY THE WAY DIDNT GRUMPY JENKINS SMALL BLOCK CHEVY WIN THE PRO STOCK TRUCKS YEARS BACK ? FORD WAS CRYING FOWL BECAUSE JENKINS WAS USING THE LITTLE CHEIF HEADS DEVELOPED FROM THE PRO STOCK BIG CHEIF STUFF..?!

@@theturfnerd thats people that pile weight on the back for noprep. There are ways to slow down or eliminate a wheelie on a slick tire car
@@endosrc I’m talking about high end radial cars even on an extremely glued track running 200 mph in the 1/8.

@@endosrc slick tire cars are made to squat when they leave, which to me, would put their nose in the air. Also, I think it’s a security blanket.

The NHRA is starting to ruin this class already. Ford and Mopar run one supercharger, while GM has another. Ford runs the smallest engine, and they can't run turbos like they come from the factory with. In the 60's you ran what came from the factory. It was competitive and fun. Chevy had little success. While Ford and Mopar dominated. The NHRA will continue to favor certain teams and Chevy, they always have. That is why attendance is way down, and they are dying. Next the sponsors will move on. That is what happens when you slant the rules.
