I was lucky enough to see parkway drive earlier this hear before the world went to shit and when they played wild eyes holy shit. Ive sesn PWD about 10 times over many yeara but that was the first festival show id seen them at, the crowd control Winston has is unbelievable.
The paraplegic guy being lifted in the air in his wheelchair so he can see the concert - how to explain... there is a deep bond between people who are into metal that a lot of people can't understand. It transcends differences and binds us together.
This is the smartest YT stunt I've possibly ever seen. You grannies must be geniuses or you have some genius grandchild(ren) who just gave you this idea. I mean, you not only listen to non mainstream metal music (mostly) but you also give every outcast metal head a good feeling about themselves. That is soul food for adolescents hearing from their parents that their music sucks or for adults whose friends only love Rihanna or EDM. The most brillant thing of your strategy is to NEVER say anything negative about what or whom you watch. You're sub machines and you know it. So, whoever is responsible for this, huge respect for the money printer you're establishing. On a less monetary level, it's a bliss watching you. And consider giving Steel Panther a chance...
Rock am Ring 2018 was the first time when I saw them, just the past few songs as I was at the main stage at the time, yet I instantly fell in love with PD. Just like 3 songs but one of the strongest experiences of RaR for me.
Man, I was at their show in 2013 when they played for a room of ~600 people, and that was after Atlas, when they were already playing in front of 20k-50k crowds. No fence, nothing, tons of interaction with fans, just pure wholesomness. Best show of my life.
@@petrinafilip96 I remember them playing at that same festival where I saw them late at night in 2018, it was 2015 (before Ire) and like 3pm, very early. Obviously, there were people there, but it can't be compared to their concerts I saw in 2018 or even bigger, headlining somewhere else in 2019. INSANE!
Bloodstock 2019, everyone was so annoyed they headlined they said they weren’t heavy enough, they came on and everyone was singing and moshing, seen them 3 or 4 times now and they just get better and better
Please react to-“crushed” “wishing wells” and “I hope you rot” by Parkway drive also, I’ve never been to one of their gigs, but my friends seen them 5 times! It’s on my bucket list for sure, very talented band, and another great, open minded reaction from you both :)
You should react to What the Dead Men Say by Trivium. Their singer, Matt Heafy is super active on Twitch and UA-cam, so he may do a reaction to your reaction!
"With all the bands that were there, I don't know how the crowd made it through the whole concert." Because our drug is Metal. Seeing a concert on video is one thing, being in the pit and feeling the bass hit so hard it feels like it might tear you apart is something else.
Hey Grannies. I did some security jobs at some festivals mostly metal ones but also other ones (like the splash festival) and from my experince the metal festivals are actually pretty chill compared to dnb or hip hop festivals
Most of the time the metal dudes are way more chill and very friendly If you decide to be a Metalhead you basically decide to join a big familiy of mostly cool people. I imagine that beeing a security at Wacken could be kinda chill. Because the metal guys beeing cool and mostly very chilled.
The only hospitalisation I heard about at Download one year was from a Pendulum pit lol. I always wondered how metal shows compared to other shows from a security perspective, I'm pleased we get top marks :3
I saw it elsewhere that you should also listen/watch "Wishing Wells" I'd highly second that but would also following it up with "The Colour of Leaving" They are the bookends to the album Reverence, the same song this is from and greatly complement each other. This album, while not a concept album per se goes back to the days when you listened to an album front to back more than a collection of singles. They by no means aren't the only artist to do this but is many ways is a lost art.
I hadn’t heard of this band before, but I, too, enjoyed their music. Definitely have to check out more from them. I look forward to seeing your new videos every day. Rock on! 🤘🏼
I was there and it was insane, I'd say somewhere around 70.000 people. The dude in the wheelchair is a perfect example what Metal stands for (atleast imo) One big family, everybody gets to have a blast no matter what. Thanks for reacting, glad you enjoyed it🤘
You two really picked the best video they’ve ever done in my opinion. Metal really includes everyone and we all show the love for it. I love how they had around 200 people bowing for them
Saw them live twice. one of my all time favorite bands. Their live shows are amazing, they sound just like on the records and the crowd interaction gives you a very special feeling. They just come off as very nice and down to earth.
Can confirm, these guys are legends. Never disappointed by a single live show. Old fan that isn't familiar with a lot of their new stuff still feels it when they play new sets.
From playing in a hall in Byron Bay to less than 50 people to playing to a crowd of people at the biggest metal show in the world, absolutely stoked for these boys and how far they've come.
I've seen Parkway live a number of times and they have never disappointed whether they open or headline. Always a great time and great show. Love you ladies!
Never seen a band with so much passion and appreciates every single second of being on that stage Watch some of their other videos, all of them are amazing
I've been to a dozen Parkway shows and the energy these guys give off is unmatched. Some of best times of my life have been in the Pit at Parkway shows. Their songs just pull you in and make you feel like you are part of the band and once they have you they don't let go for the rest of their set. EPIC
Never really got into Parkway Drive but I was there and man... what a show they put up, absolutely amazing! Forgot to mention that I was a fan since I saw them performing there \m/
yeah baby lets GO!!!! . hehe parkway drive is one of the newer bands that broke away from sounding like alot of band that are out today . there up there for me as one of the good newer metal bands . please do more of these guys.
Parkway Drive is an absolutely INCREDIBLE band!!! My favorite band is Trivium and I really want to see a Trivium reaction. I think you'll love it! Maybe their song What the Dead Men Say?
these guys are all energy all the time at their shows....i never really gave them a chance until i went to one of their shows with Killswitch Engage last year and i was hooked from get go and pissed at myself for letting them pass me by until recently....you would never think of it but these guys are just a bunch of Australian surfer dudes that didnt want to play punk and this is what they came up with.....loved watching their documentaries and how they used music to travel the world to live their best lives.....just unreal talent and awesomeness
Awesome ladies. Did you notice their bass player Jai was playing in a wheel chair? He broke his leg while on tour! Show must go on! Winston's Mum was there too!
Ah ladies, you've made this Aussie proud. Parkway Drive is one of our very best Australian bands. To see them at Wacken is like watching the Olympics of metal. Give Arch Enemy a go one day. You'll like Alyssa and the boys. Cheers !
In my opinion that wacken Concert finished so awsome with bottom feeder. Strong Song, with important Lyrics and everytime that Thing starts I get chills everywhere. ;-) And how do you survive a Parkway Drive Concert. Never heard of that band before ... BUT as I stood there, 2019 in Wacken, and heard them, they made at least one new fan that day. One of the best concerts, if not THE best of that season.
Yes! I love this band! So nostalgic for me. Was my favorite band in highschool around 2010. Their best songs are "Boneyards" and "Smoke 'em if you got 'em" so if you like this I highly suggest those as they were the songs that brought them a larger audience

I just wanted to let you know that I'm loving your channel! It's great to come home from work, relax on the couch and watch your videos. There are so many great music videos to re-discover or to watch together with you for the first time.. It's my favorite UA-cam channel at the moment. Thank you for your GREAT work! :-) Since you seem to like great musicians, I'd highly suggest a video by the band TRIVIUM. Basically any song might do it, but since I guess you're especially into great drummers, I'd like to suggest "The Sin And The Sentence". Alex Bent is one of the greatest drummers of all time in my humble opinion. His speed and control are beyond everything else. You'll have to check it out. ;-) Best regards from Germany!

Oh, we know, Clint. You're an original Granny Squad member and we love you for it.
I AGREE WITH CLINT! Do this 😊❤️
I agree as well
you want crowd interaction?...wild eyes...same band...same concert

Facts
Carrion from their one DVD is nuts, too. I've seen them multiple times, always a killer show.
@@andrewbradshaw1704 I was going to see them in April, luckily they have moved the concert so I hope everything sorts out
Yes!!!
The paraplegic guy being lifted in the air in his wheelchair so he can see the concert - how to explain... there is a deep bond between people who are into metal that a lot of people can't understand. It transcends differences and binds us together.
