Really enjoyed your painting process. I too love being out in nature, thus I love painting with watercolors outside. I live in the high desert and love painting the mountains, plants and animals. Thank you so much for sharing…looking forward to your next videos.😊
Hey Tom. Loved everything about the video. A real heart touching experience for me. Not only do I want to get out and try pleine air, but I want to go across the pond to your neck of the woods. Breathtaking. I loved the sound of the sheep. An owl!! Wow, how cool. The honesty of your experience is very supportive and motivating, for my own journey. I feel like a part of something grand. You’re sharing of these experiences, tells me, it’s more then paint and paper. Thank you💕. (You’re very creative with the video and how the information is presented. Love the way you put it all together) 👏🏼💕. Brilliant! .
Tom, I loved that. Your enthusiasm for being outside immersed in nature is so infectious that I really want to get out there myself. Your paintings are beautiful and appear so spontaneous (though I know the amount of experience behind them). Thanks for the video - totally loved it.
Great hearing your thoughts on plein air painting - I've been doing it for years now and whilst it's hard sometimes to actually go forth into the landscape, it's a beautiful experience that you just utterly lose yourself in especially somewhere like you are in this video. And yes, it's bloody hard but I apply a fishing analogy - sometimes you catch something, sometimes you come back empty handed and it's all fine.
I like your channel content. If you have more time. Longer videos would be so wonderful. You are very talented and speak with knowledge on the complex subject that is watercolor. Thank you so much for your generosity, dear.
I've tried to do Plein Air twice now and both times I got overwhelmed and struggled to know what to paint! Glad it's not just me. I saw your art for sale at Picton Castle last week, I got very excited! Love your work ☺️
I loved this! What a great video, the tree in the 2nd part was a really lucky find - a special tree! I always think what makes you stand out as a teacher is just the very natural way you explain your own decision-making process, and it makes it feel like it's something anyone can do, which is very reassuring. Love that you go walking barefoot as well!
Thankyou for this honesty in how your feeling whilst painting. I can relate to everything you say. I too am very outdoorsy and just love being outside. But generally paint and draw inside I need to do this. Much appreciated. Thanks again
I loved the scenery and the marvelous nature in the video; thanks for taking us on this journey. I also like that , though you were on your own, you took footages for yourself walking away from the cam or standing by the easel painting!!
The gardens a beautiful. Since you mentioned your hair, I think it lovely ans suits you nicely, have you ever tried any leave it products to really enhance the nice curls? These products are so easy to use- you just let them dry 8n hair and when fully dry you just mess the hair up a bit to separate the curls, and that's it. The curls will stay nice for days. You are so lucky to have curls. I have very straight hair.
Yes, love this pencil...it’s not particularly expensive and came with a selection of lead softnesses....off top of my head I think NicPro, and this one is the 2mm version :)
I think ur battery dying & allowing u to be in the moment of painting vs concerning urself with words & recording put u in flow (shuts off the left brain).

Inspiring! Did you make the lower table for water pot and paints?
Hi Sue, I didn’t no. Made by a guy here in uk. Annoyingly I forget the name off the top of my head 😑
@@tomshepherdartist that’s ok, I’m in the USA. Thanks!
Oh I forgot to ask. Your mechanical pencil with a super chunky lead.. what’s it’s professional name I can’t say I’ve ever come across one. 🙂
