- गुजरात के पाटन जिले की सिद्धपुर तहसील में पड़ने वाले सिद्धराणा गांव में हम राकेश चंद्र प्रियदर्शी से मिले. बातचीत के सिलसिले में राकेश हमें छह साल पुरानी एक घटना बताते हैं. वे अपने घर पर ही थे. सुबह सात बजे कुछ लोग उनके घर के दरवाजे पर दस्तक देते हैं. राकेश ने दरवाजा खोला तो सामने गांव के ही कुछ लोग खड़े थे. उन्होंने राकेश को निमंत्रण देते हुए कहा, “शाम को महादेव की पूजा के लिए भंडारा है. तुम्हारे समाज के लोगों के लिए भी भंडारे में भोजन का प्रबंध किया गया है. वहां बैठने के लिए अलग व्यवस्था रहेगी.”
अगाड़िया हित मंच के मुताबिक, “पंजीकरण प्रक्रिया सभी ब्लॉकों में की गई और सितंबर में कई अगाड़िया छोटे रण में चले गए. जिसके बाद बिना किसी कारण से उन्हें संतलपुर और अडेसर क्षेत्र के अगाड़ियाओं को लिटिल रण जाने से रोक दिया गया. उनसे कहा गया कि इसका निर्णय जल्द ही लिया जाएगा. वन विभाग के मुताबिक, सूची को सत्यापित करने और अंतिम रूप देने के लिए समय लगने की बात कही गई. हालांकि, वन विभाग ने अभी भी हमें रण क्षेत्रों में प्रवेश करने की अनुमति नहीं दी है. जिसके कारण इन मजदूरों के पास आजीविका का कोई अन्य स्रोत नहीं है और आज घर पर ही बैठे हैं.
नारूभाई 6 पीढ़ियों से नमक की खेती कर रहे हैं. सरकार के इस दोहरे और चयनात्मक रवैये से निराश हैं. वह कहते हैं, “हम अपने विधायक और वन विभाग दोनों को बार-बार गुहार लगा रहे हैं. हालांकि, उन्होंने नमक खेतों को तैयार करने की भी अनुमति नहीं दी. जब पूरे लिटिल रण के लिए फैसला हो गया तो हमें समझ नहीं आता कि ऐसा भेदभाव सिर्फ हमारे साथ ही क्यों किया जाता है?”
