Bro! It’s my pleasure. Congratulations! I’ve got lots of advice and stuff on here and I love the feedback that it helps people. M3.Films on IG if you want to talk. Cheers!
Hey Jasmijn. This is a great question that my wife and I were concerned about too. The legs and hips natural position is actually bent and out slightly. This is the babies position in the womb. At such a young age, you want them to feel snug and tight in the swaddle. As they grow older the swaddles get more lose and become blankets of sorts. That’s when the legs can be free to move. There’s no hard and fast rule of course, it’s up to you as the parent at the end of the day. But the hip awareness is important none the less. Thanks for watching!
We had him swaddled all the time except for feeding and diaper change. Use your judgement for temperature and whatnot but for the first couple of months, they’ll be swaddled ALOT. Thanks for watching and good luck!
My baby hates being swaddled. I'm going to condition her shoulders and arms by putting her in a semi weak swaddle so she gets pissed and tries super hard to escape
Damn escaped in like 2 minutes (tried 3 times). He just uses his legs to push down and that releases the shoulder strap. Then pulls his arm out. I dont get how it can be difficult o escape as you are putting the sheet over his shoulder which vs his legs which are strong enough to easily pull it off. My other method that usually lasts 4 or 5 hours leaves his legs alone.
Yeah mike I’ve been hearing that a lot. How thick was the blanket? Also maybe your kid prefers the arms up swaddles. I know Henry did shortly after this video lol lmk what happens. Congrats on the baby man
@@JordanMcCoySeattle haha ya, i tried it with so many blankets - always right arm escape lol. i found another swaddle where the arms are straigh and the blanket is tucked under back and it holds arms rock solid. But he fights and fights and fights until either He or I breaks spirit hahahaha Trying the arms up as well just hits self in face alot Lol learning curve for sure! appreciate your vid all the same though
@@JordanMcCoySeattle Nice to hear you had been to Kuala Lumpur . Near future if you happen to come here again , do text me ... Have a good day #staysafe 😊
I really think you are going too tight around the legs. 1 in 6 baby's have hip dysplasia and swaddling the legs too tight is the number one cause. Let's those legs have room!
@JordanMcCoySeattle great to know! My daughter had hip problems as a child so this just hit me. I instruct new parents that you can't really swaddle the top too tight, but the hips should be loose.
As a 23 year old first time dad. Thank You for this video

22 here in the same boat. I’m sitting in the hospital room with the baby next to me at 4am while watching this haha. Really appreciate it!
Congratulations Aaron. How are you guys getting along so far?
Yes! Steal as many blankets from the hospital as you can... 😉
Thanks for this 🎥. New parents over here trying figure it out and this video is a game changer.
Wow thanks so much. This is the whol reason I started the channel. I’m glad it helped out. Good luck y’all ✌🏻

Thank you!! Just successfully swaddled a baby doll lol! Having my baby next month 😊
Ana that’s fantastic! Congratsss and I hope you’ll find some good info in the rest of my videos. Thanks for watching!
Ana, following up on this. How did everything go? And how is the little one??
Awesome, Dad! Get little one settled and go out and grab some grub! Well wishes from South Carolina.😃
Thanks so much for watching!
Shouldn’t the legs be able to move to avoid hip problems?

How long we can keep baby in this position

It’s never too early to start conditioning. Sounds like a future Olympian. Good luck!
How a nurse taught me, is do what you did, but make the triangle a bit smaller, then put the hands in the triangular pockets, and fold.
That’s a great idea. Thanks for watching!
Awesome - God bless - our Best regards from Malta, EUROPE - Noel & Chris Vella Galea :)

Very interesting. DM me on Instagram I’d love to learn your method. Every kid is different, and yours clearly has some strong legs lol cheers
Apparently i have a Houdini
It works. Okay: That’s all y’all need to understand
Tell ‘em Erika lol thanks for watching!
I’d just look up “arms up swaddle.” And wouldn’t compress up legs like that.
My baby escapes this method in about 9 seconds

Nice educational video ! Good for couples those with new baby 👶 . Cheers from Wanazha17 ( Malaysia )

Yeah my son gets out of that swaddle
Dang man, y’all’s kids are resilient. What method do you use?
@@JordanMcCoySeattle there is a tuck under arms method. Take small thin blanket and wrap around arm and tuck under belly, leaving belly exposed.
Interesting I’ll check that out. Thanks for the conversation! Sub the channel 🙏🏻 videos are coming back 💪🏻✌🏻

Thanks Susan. I’d like to report that 3 years later he’s good to go. Not sure if it was that tight

The first 2 min was completely unnecessary. And so I would suggest to make ur videos straightforward. Txs
But did you like it?? Lol
Tell me you don’t know how to skip forward without telling me you don’t know how to skip forward.
And😂 just who are you to suggest what someone else does with their video like it was made for you or some shit 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅🎉
I don’t think she likes sushi.. or happiness
And this comment was completely unnecessary. So I would suggest to not say anything at all in the future. Txs 💅
Hey brother
Hi
That was an unnecessarily intro though
That spelling is unnecessary* 🤣
@@JordanMcCoySeattle lol true overtired brain. Cute couple though and thx for teaching
I was going to say unnecessarily long**
poorly made babies legs are wrapped at wiered angles
Tucked up to chest is weird*?
Pure evil.
