August 2024 Container Garden Tour!! The Texas HEAT is on!!

- Join me as I walk through my front and backyard and show you all of my container gardens! I have them scattered throughout my front and back porch and patio, as well as some throughout my garden areas. I have annuals, perennials, shrubs, herbs and strawberries all growing beautifully in containers that are in shade, part shade and full sun! I have a North Texas garden on the border of Zone 8a and Zone 8b.

Ok, you are the second person in 2 weeks (the other was my gardening neighbor) that has talked about the banana water, so i guess I’m gonna have to try it! I love that you grow and love so many of the same plants that i grow and love, and in basically the same north Texas Denton County conditions. Propagation is one of my current interests and I’m experimenting with a bunch of cuttings right now while I wait for cooler temperatures (it’s surely gonna turn soon, right?!) I know that mystic spires is patented, but i have propagated it in the past the same way that you’ve done your hydrangeas, just putting a woody stem in the soil. 😊 😊😊
Stacey- Banana water!! Yes try it! I love that we have the same plant interests too. We need to meet up some time! I'm going to try that with Mystic Spires Salvia, my understanding is that you just cannot sell plants that are patented and propagated. One happened to root itself and I put it somewhere else in the garden! 😉
