Storm is an OMEGA LEVEL MUTANT. She is basically a GODDESS. Yet all these movies boil her down to is "She makes thunder go zap." Completely forgetting that her power is to an extent that she wouldn't struggle on the ground with anyone that isn't at her level. They had Toad beat the heck out of her before she decided to shock him, they have her struggle with mutants cause they run fast, they have her go toe to toe with a Hair Level Mutant in this film... They got no problem with the Scarlet Witches and the Jean Grey's treated like Omega Level threats or Mutants. But Storm always gets the shaft. She's a Goddess and an Omega level mutant. Treat her like one.
Plus she is more powerful than Jean and Scarlet Witch. Jean is not the Phoenix and is only a telepath/telekinetic and Wanda only good at chaos magic and her biggest offense is reality warping, but Storm control the very thing that keeps them all alive and can take it away or use to destroy. If there is no living planet and you can't breathe, how can you create a false reality if you are dead or control minds if your own brain can be electrically manipulated by Storm.

As much they didn't give justice to the comic version of storm.. I really like the fight scenes starting at 2:45 up to the train scene... I mean for the last decade whenever u see storm she just be standing there and do some lightning and wind thing.. In those scenes you can see her mixing wind with sharp hail like, and at the train scene you can see her uses her flight occasionally while fighting which we didn't see in the previous xmen movies.
i always have to laugh. they made the executive decision to have Storm mistress of the elements throw a HONDA instead of making a tornado and mopping the floor w all 3 of them.
I hated both portrayals of Storm in fox movies! Not only they cast a BIRACIAL actress instead of just black but they completely butchered the character: 1)her speech wasn’t there, Storm is known for her sophisticated speech, she speaks like a Goddess, 2)her powers were nothing we know and love about her3) her personality (especially in last movies) were a bad joke! I really hope Disney will do my girl justice, Anna Diop Issa Rae or (especially) Jodie Turner Smith would be perfect as her! Black, gorgeous and very talented

It is also hinted in the comics that she’s an omega with untapped potential to harness the very power of both terrestrial and extraterrestrial environments, on par with people like Jean Gray or even superior as she could ascend to the status of an incarnation of the biosphere’s forces, so she has been really downplayed in both incarnation, and I can’t stand the fact that they cancelled her back story as goddess for her native people.

Your right because shes a high priestess and her bloodline of high priests are all born with white hair and blue eyes. They had her with black hair and brown eyes. I mean I understand the eyes but the hair that was a stretch for me.

Just started watching Avatar the Last Airbender.I wonder if Storm would be capable of some of the feats the water benders can do? Her powers have never been shown as diverse and tactical as they're capable of. Don't even get me started on her untapped magical lineage.
The MCU really need to concentrate on her because she is indeed the most powerful Marvel character. This is a woman who has the mutant gene powers, who has the ability to wield powerful magic and become sorceress supreme , and who can be empowered and ascend into a Goddess by the faith of people. Who literally controls a planets elemental forces and in space, and who can manipulate energy down to atoms/molecules with visual and senses perspective.
I’m not mad at this version , I looked at first the movie was about Jean and not plotted around her and 2nd it like showing her character coming into her powers
Lightning actually moves around half the speed of light but still anyone without super would be hit even Jean unless she had a pre existing force field around but she wouldn't of been able to deflect it like she did
I do understand and agree that Colorism played a part in casting for both portrayals of Storm thus far. It's a sad fact. But I also feel that this portrayal in particular suffered extra because of Bad Scripts for those last 2 movies

Stormfront of “The Boys” is complex. The comic version was closer to Storm in his ability to ACTUALLY manipulate the weather. The Prime version just has purple plasma generation, making the allusion to Thor and Storm even more artificial (and I think this was the point given that Vought is fake). Stormfront could kill Storm if she pinned her down, but a true comic Storm could easily kill either version of Stormfront.
I would say in most of her scenes in the movies (X-Men, X2, Days of Future Past, Last Stand), she is shown either charging her attacks from the sky, or directly striking her target from a lightning bolt out of the sky.
