In my opinion, marvel should make a Storm series. Showcasing her story, the diversity of her powers and exploring new things with the character, also maybe showing more of africa's beauty, would be so amazing.
I dont know about a series, the one disney made arent all bad, but the quality is still not there. I would much more prefer a movie or even two, those tend to look more cinematic and i want to be fucking awed when i'll see her "summoning" the storm on big screen

Dark Phoenix and The Last Stand could have been much better movies had they built up the sisterly bond between Jean and Storm; and showcased the hurt, anger, and grief Storm would feel. However, I do feel like Storm’s wardrobe in The Last Stand was a symbolic shift of Storm’s character: she dyed her hair silver and black, stopped wearing elegant gowns and blouses, and began wearing more leather and fitted clothing. She should have had a Dark arc that paralleled Jean’s Dark Phoenix.

She has worked with MagiK the mutant to kinda show her how to use her magic, she can use her powers in/on any planet and space. She is immune to most psychic attacks and if she so chose she could drown you on the spot or devoid your lungs of oxygen! She is the shit!!

The lightening effects in Apocalypse was the best ever in all the movies. It was right on point of how lightening really is. To be fair, It is difficult to really showcase xmen characters as their comic book counterparts. Some of the things they are capable of in the comics is just terrifying and too powerful for the antagonists in these films lol. Pretty much every characters on the good team are nerfed like storm, iceman, bishop, sunspot, rogue, shadowcat, etc. Quicksilver is a good example of when they overreached. I believe she can be a beypnd omega level. Her powers are not limited to atmokinesis after all. Her psionic abilities affect matter at the atomic level. She is just being nerfed. In a way, she is similar to Dr. Doom, but perhaps she is above viktor in a sense that she has more connection to magic than Doom. Her ancestors are favored by the Vishanti, most notably by Oshtur. If she does train in the mystic arts with doc strange, just like viktor, she would be super op. I mean, after all, Oshtur would readily help her in any way.

It has a place in our hearts cuz Halle Berry was the 1st to portray her. However, it's still not an accurate depiction of storm. I think halle did storm pretty well but storm is a Dark skinned East African woman -- not a biracial brown or light skinned american (sounding) woman. They got all the white characters right for instance, but they chose someone more "palatable" to the main stream audience to play her. This is one of the sole reasons Alexandra Ship got so much hate playing the new rendition of storm. People figured we are in a new time let black characters be played by talented black actors/ actresses. Biracial people playing full black characters is problematic (its colorist and inaccurate). Halle gets no hate because when she was hired to play Storm it was a different time (plus she's Halle Berry).

To be fair, It is difficult to really showcase xmen characters as their comic book counterparts. Some of the things they are capable of in the comics is just terrifying and too powerful for the antagonists in these films lol. Pretty much every characters on the good team are nerfed like storm, iceman, bishop, sunspot, rogue, shadowcat, etc. Quicksilver is a good example of when they overreached. They actually showcased him really well in those scenes when time seems to stop but yet because they needed the antagonists to be actually capable, he will screw up in the weirdest ways to allow that.
The mcu did very well handling characters like Thor and Dr Strange who could have been seen as over powered characters. FOX just dropped the ball

DOFP Storm was the only one who was kinda decent. One thing that get me upset is why in apocalypse when she was amped by apocalypse (she wouldn't even need a amp to begin with but anyway), why couldn't she unleash her power. Magneto was destroying the whole planet but storm fight the X-men with only lighting ?!?!?!??! Like she can control the weather but she only throw lighting and she was supposed to be amped....

I believe that at the start Ororo won't be super powerful like Wanda was when first appearing in the MCU but as she appears more in X-Men movies team up films her own solo movie ( ???? ) she will get far more powerful like Scarlet Witch has.

@@hmrhuang Well she has always been just a mutant but I know that in a BP comic book from 2016 ( ? ) apparently she got Godhood which transformed her into a goddess because of people's beliefs in her, so Idk if that made her into an ACTUAL goddess or just seem as one because of the amount of power she possesses.

I also wish they had delved deeper into the Storm storylines. She was capable of so much more. Halle and Alexandra were great with the little they were given. I'm hoping that Disney will do a re-boot for the X Men and feature a powerful, moody, gorgeous Storm.

Disney said they plan on introducing the X Men individually in their own shows, before an ensemble film like Avengers.
I'm sure that some characters will shine more, or be more interesting than others. But that's what made X Men so good. Individually, they might be kinda boring, but as a team? Lightning in a bottle.
4:28 was definitely cut out from the X3 movie. i can't remember Storm beating Callisto and then assisting Wolverine in taking out Juggernaut, it was literally the exact opposite.
I believe she can be a beypnd omega level. Her powers are not limited to atmokinesis after all. Her psionic abilities affect matter at the atomic level. She is just being nerfed. In a way, she is similar to Dr. Doom, but perhaps she is above viktor in a sense that she has more connection to magic than Doom. Her ancestors are favored by the Vishanti, most notably by Oshtur. If she does train in the mystic arts with doc strange, just like viktor, she would be super op. I mean, after all, Oshtur would readily help her in any way.

Not at all! I LOVE Halle Berry as Storm. She was the Storm i was introduced to as a child. So she definitely holds a spot in my heart. People are too fixated on having a Dark skinned Storm than the actual character being portrayed right.
It has a place in our hearts cuz Halle Berry was the 1st to portray her. However, it's still not an accurate depiction of storm.
I think halle did storm pretty well but storm is a Dark skinned East African woman -- not a biracial brown or light skinned american (sounding) woman.
They got all the white characters right for instance, but they chose someone more "palatable" to the main stream audience to play her. This is one of the sole reasons Alexandra Ship got so much hate playing the new rendition of storm.
People figured we are in a new time let black characters be played by talented black actors/ actresses. Biracial people playing full black characters is problematic (its colorist and inaccurate).
Halle gets no hate because when she was hired to play Storm it was a different time (plus she's Halle Berry).

Ask yourself this would people just be happy if Captain America (Steve Rogers) was played my a half white- half asian actor? No they wouldn't even if he looked more white than Asian.
Plus its not like there arent young talented dark skinned actresses out there to play her, some of the people in charge just refuse to stay true to how a Kenyan Woman with 2 Dark skinned Kenyan parents should look. So much so that most people think storm is supposed to be light skinned, racially ambiguous, and or mixed race.

But my main concern is with her being made out to be weak or timid like how they did her in the first two X-Men movies. It's funny and hypocritical how fans bashed Halle Berry for not being black enough to play Storm, but if White people were to have a fit about Nick Fury being portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson, y'all would raise hell. Make it make sense! No one said shit about Samuel Jackson playing Nick Fury and I'm okay with that. Just don't be selective hypocrites when it comes to wanting true representation for fictional characters. If we're going to be mad about Storm being played by a mixed light skinned actress, then lets be mad about Samuel L. Jackson playing a Caucasian character. Otherwise, let it go!
