I just love how you play those movie soundtracks afterwards in your demo! Great informative video thank you!
Best start ever, back to future, yeah man
Best S88 MKII demonstration so far! Thank you!
Thanx for your feedback
The simple fact that you opened with the back to the future theme made me subscribe
Back to the future! Nice demo
Love the video. I have the S61. Thinking about buying the S88.
I baught today also the S 88 MK2 and pretty excited
Yo just here to say "Strange Deja vu" at 2:45, lots of love
That guitar emulation is going on. Could be worth the upgrade after all
but isn't that cheating? you press a key and it plays a guitar back to back.
@@nicolaypastore Some people like me are great at playing piano but suck at guitar even after guitar lessons. I'm just naturally good at piano but not at guitar. Same goes for other instruments as well, this allows me to play the music I have in my head without having to spend tons of hours learning individual instruments or having to deal with getting other people in a band together to play with you, which is a real hassle in my experience but can also make making music fun too as you gain friends this way as well. But overall, I understand what you mean and I get it but welcome to the future of music.
Stunning
@@nicolaypastore There's no such thing as 'cheating' when you create music. Once you realize that, you'll become a better musician.
@@spr5033 well i rather put my emotion into strumming the strings. Now as far as drums/bass goes i don't mind using midi for that.
thanks so much
4:37 I thought he wouldnt do it but he really did :D
The instruments sound like garbage though on that demo.
Great review thanks 🙂
can you kindly do a tutorial on how to mapp voices for a live stage on 88keys and l think its the most important feature the 88keys should have
If I use this with Ableton, does it output midi notes or audio to Ableton? Thanks in advance.
It will output midi notes and you can then trigger the Komplete 12 instruments in Ableton
Recently I bought M-Audio SP-2 pedal for my S88 and seems like the pedal is not working properly. That been said, when I press the pedal down (slightly) just to sustain (little bit) it takes forever to goes out i.e. similar effect when the pedal is fully pressed. Can you please help me with this?
Thank you in advance.
Please show us how to set Pitch & Mod wheels on a Komplete Kontrol mk2 . with its editor , I’m only seeing pitch bend features ok Touchstrip icon but none for Pitch & Mod or am I missing something,, thanks a lot
Should I get push 2 with ableton live 10 suite?? Or ableton standard with komplete 12 ultimate.... i already play guitar and drums and would like to make songs similar to yanni but also infected mushroom /: can someone help please thank you
Hi there, could you show some sounds of flutes, sax please... Thank you very so much ...
how did you connect the keyboard with the computer or how do you connect it?
Via USB, it is quite easy
Hey what is the song around 3:50? Thanks
Princess Leia's theme from Star Wars
Guitars sounded impressive!. But the Brass was really weak to my ear, rather cheese. No valve or breath impulse in the samples, I dunno, just sounded so fake you'd need them set way back in the mix or don't bother. Awesome demo though, thanks!
trying to decide between a nord piano 4 and this ive had my mk1 s88 for a year and the weighting of the keys is just turning to shit, are they better in the mk2?
Yes they are..
Go with the Piano 4. It’s build quality is way better, it has a plethora of spectacular sounds and is built like a tank. No comparison.
Does it also comes with Maschine software and Maschine full library
Key action feel from 1-10 ?
Hello, does this midi have problems with the keyboard: squeaks or incorrect sound display. Saw displeased reviews. Or is it a rare manufacturing defect. I am looking for a good tool. Sorry, I do not speak English (Google translator)
HI, we have not experienced the issue you are referring to
are the transitions from sound to sound seamless? (no cutting off) . and can you just call up saved presets? THX
Yes and Yes
Thank you. Will check out.
Sorry for stupid question. I am wondering if it got its own built-in speaker. I mean if I turn on the keyboard without connecting to the computer, would it playback the sound?
No it does not have speakers. All the sounds generated are software-driven by a computer
Can I add Sustain pedal and Expression pedal at the same time? Expression pedal for the purpose of let's say.. modulation control or volume control..
Piyush Gupta absolutely.
Hi, are there any good guitar instruments in the collection with realistic sound, that allows you to play individual notes? For solos?
The Kontakt Factory Library has a range of great sounding sampled guitars which allow individual notes to be played.
Finally got my S88 - just wondering, does your mod wheel on the RIGHT make a slight noise like its rubbing against the left when you move it? Comparing it to my old Yamaha P-150 which did not make any rubbing/friction noise...
Alain Patry no it shouldn’t. Sounds like a build quality issue
..."if I wudda had this, when I was maybe 20....I'd probably be a billionaire right now......🤪😆
Loooool.. my god I hate that ad.
Does it comes with a bag or casing? If not, do you know where can I buy one fit for this? Thanks in advance!
Hi Jerald, no it does not come with a bag or casing. Where can you buy one is a good question...Google would be our best advice
Can you tell me which fatar keybed this has and how it compares to other weighted controllers? Thanks
According to Native Instruments its an industry-leading keybed from Fatar, featuring 88 fully weighted, hammer-action keys and aftertouch.
NI doesn't want to seem to disclose the particular fatar keybed. Apparently it feels slightly different to the older one though
Collin Thurman same Keybed used in the Arturia KeyLab 88
what is the intro music called i am searching that for last hour
Hi MEME review. The intro music is from Back to the Future.
Well, someone's a John Williams fan...
The question is - is it better than SL88? Comparing the keyboard feel/build quality.
Couldn't tell you as we don't have access to the SL88
From forums it looks like similar fatar 100LR with some extra foam to soften it, but that foam goes away after playing a while, so keybed action more or less the same a 1st version
Does the Komplete Kontrol plug in your computer using USB-C?
It uses USB-B
hay qua
I hope you paid George Lucas his 99.9% autonomy over your life? The best action on a midi board but not enough for me to ditch my stage piano.
KOMPLETE KONTROL software is absolute garbage !
I am stuck for about a week not able to use the software at all (as I have endless problems either with plugins or content libraries).
Every time I open Native Access it goes out of the screen. Many interfaces opened in Kontakt on my 4K screen are completely unreadable (to small to blurry). Support ticket wizard is the worst thing I have seen in my entire life. No way to track tickets directly through the site. Now way to register/unregister single products from KOMPLETE and Native Access interface (which BTW endlessly keeps asking for an update). Major features which users ask for years are not added. Upgrade policy sucks - meaning - if you purchased a single product from NI and not it is part of the KOMPLETE suite they want you to pay for it twice and you end up with 2 licenses and SN). You will not get a refund or discount.
NI support replies about every 3rd day so after a week they asked few dozens of questions and no help, no resolution, no nothing. I paid in last 5 years $5k+ for their hardware and software and it was the worst musical decision of my life. While the 3rd party libraries and sounds are mostly OK or even excellent, everything else about this company simply sucks. I would never buy any NI products again nor recommend it to a friend. I really wish that one day Kontakt is replaced with some "real software" by some other competitive company. Perhaps the reason that this company is so bad is that they have grown so big and they believe there is no competition for NKS and alike.
The bottom line is: when it works it is OK (jut ok but not god) but when even small problems arise you are on your own and you waste tons of time and energy. Not worth the price.
I have complete 13 collector's edition
The sound of symphonic series brass, wood and strings is awful , very sad to play with
Wow these brasses are so fake
DruiiChannel yeah the orchestral library sounds very pedestrian compared to Spitfire or Orchestral Tools.
Wow those brass sounds are horrendous.
All that I want to know is if this keybed is fully weighted and whether it is more pianistic than the Arturia 88 or the Studiologic SL88. I could care less about the lights or the integration on those two tiny little screens. People that buy fully weighted 88 key keyboards can actually technically play and are more likely to be classically or jazz trained, unlike those push button performers on the 25 key miniboards that need arpeggiators and chord assistance. Is the keybed as good as the Yamaha KX88? Because I have had one since the 80s and need a second 88 key keyboard for a second studio space and Yamaha is no longer makes the KX88 or anything nearly as good as a MIDI controller.
Yes it is weighted like a piano but the best thing is to go into a store and try it out for yourself
I mean I taught myself piano, and now Id say I'm advanced (been told that as well from music majors) and Ive always had a "push button" keyboard. I hate the idea of relying an appregio function as well. I have a yamaha ypg 535 for 8 years now and it still works great. Weighted keys or not this keyboard has so many great features it worth the buy. But If you only care about the feel there is probably something out there designed for that purpose.
Lennard Villasenor same keybed as KeyLab 88 but the Arturia feels more sluggish. However it’s housed in a metal chassis compared to the S88mk2 which is plastic. If you’re just using it in a studio I’m sure it’s fine but buil quality of the NI isn’t as good as competitors. I work in a music store in keyboards btw so I know these products very well.
@@soundtreks so are saying that the studio gl 88 is the way to go?
@@soundtreks MY NI equipment just stays in an upstairs office. Not going anywhere. I still have a Roland D 70 I used to take out to play live etc., but man is it heavy!
