Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is a strategy action role-playing video game developed and published by TaleWorlds Entertainment, and co-published by Prime Matter. It is a prequel to Mount & Blade: Warband, a stand-alone expansion for the 2008 game Mount & Blade.
Bannerlord takes place 210 years before its predecessor, with a setting inspired by the Migration Period. Bannerlord was announced in 2012. A Steam page for the game was created in late 2015; the following year, TaleWorlds began releasing weekly developer diaries detailing elements of the game. An early access version of the game was released on March 27, 2020 and quickly became the largest launch of the year on Steam, achieving nearly 250,000 concurrent players on Steam.
The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on October 25, 2022.

"Nobody can survive being at war with the entire world". I was just a lowly mercenary for the Sturgians when literally everyone but the Aserai had declared war on us, and stupid frickin Raganvad had gotten captured so early, and i couldnt honorably end my contract and was fending off attacks left and right. I didnt even fuck around, i just found out
Sounds brutal man
Dude same is happening to me currently. I’ve been taken prisoner at least 10 times in the last couple hours because my khuzite lord keeps putting me in fringe castles that constantly get attacked
I saw around a thousand Valandians get destroyed by around 700 sturgians. I later saw Sturgia owning half of Valandia due to Dertherts incompetence to lead a kingdom.
Derthert never fails to amaze me..
i fucking hate detheret
Im part of sturgia in my campaign i own a castle and have plenty of me to help protect and derthert is a absolute boss so far the got the battanias good and even took varcheg (before they rebelled i really hope we take it back) just a bit ago i beat a 91 me vs 148 vlandians now i have them both hostage this game is a blast and i hope derthert dies for killing my freind
@@squidlord7862screw derthert all my homies hate derthert
Dertherts fuckin it up in my current campaign and its pissing me off
My favorite camping was an early Eagle rising camping where I was given Husn Fulq, and I spent 5 in-game years defending it from the khans hoard and sultans men. The most cinematic battle I fought was when an army of 1.5 thousand from the Khanate came trying to take my city. I still refer to it as the battle of the Lions Gate.
So epic bro
Seriously the most epic battles ever are fought over small townships 🔥🥲
Virgin
My best battle I was also using eagle rising mod it was back when rbm wasn’t required to run it. Anyways I was defending a city I forgot the name but it was led by western empire 2,000 vs 300 of my men just with my fully maxed troops and the best gladius in the game I got 500 hundred kills alone with may character and my troops had over 600 the western empire kept retreating their men and sending them back in eventually all of them were killed and i had only 23 soldiers left .this was late game and I was super happy. this was a long time ago so it might be exaggerated or not I really don’t remember lol
5k western empire troops vs 1k southern empire troops, and southern still won 💀☠️💀 like wtf man
Insane bro
The fuckin peasant armies are real bro
That's like California vs Florida. Florida all day bro
I never lost a battle ever, unless If I'm completely outnumbered. I just recruit all cavalry. Infantry and archers are useless
@@yous2244Poland be like:
Me fighting first few battles in Bannerlord --> Advanced strategy, pretending to be a military genius
Me fighting all battles later --> F1 + F3
Very true, I initiate a battle where I'm outnumbered 2 to 1, press F1 + F3 and watch the kill feed turn green for 2 minutes. 😂
The art of the mindless charge. I am a blackbelt in F1+F3...
@@WindsOfficial i usually go F1+F4 on advance and F1+F3 when i am right before the enemy (like 20m away)... in F1+F4 they hold their shieldwall afterall so the enemy doesn't really land to many kills with ranged weapon and they still suffer from the charge as usual
True, i love to use my full 287 khans guard army in 2 groups. group 1 about 140 cav archers, F1+F4, then i command the second group shooting and fighting the crap out of all the enemy cav and then i flank the rest of enemy and pepper them down with arrows and than after few minutes F1+F3. Works amazing, i have some sick results 🔥
i play on console what does f1+f3 mean?
You can easily field an elite force early game. The solution? Blacksmithing top tier javelins that sell at like 25k each.
This man knows what he’s talking about
We who are about to die salute you!!!!
Why Smith javelin when you can make 100k two handed swords from cheap pugios
@@michaelcoit6555 early game? Because early game you likely don’t have smithing up high enough to craft those expensive 2H swords. Javelins max out super duper fast for quick turn around profit. Plus, early game none of the merchants carry 100k :(
^-- This. There's no way you can be crafting "top tier" weapons early game, even if you take _all_ of the starting smithy perks. You'll spend *tons* of time running around collecting a few companions for help with smelting and refining, and you're limited by clan tier. You need to farm items to smelt, travel around buying wood, wood hammers, pugios, seax, tribesman daggers, etc., just to smelt for the better ingots. This all costs money. Then spending _days_ waiting 3/4 of a day to regen stamina for smithing. Unless you're using cheats, it can take many, many hours just leveling smithing high enough to craft with t5 parts and enough Thameskeen (spelling?) ingots. That being said, though... Once you get rolling, you'll snowball fast.
I have huge tip. Always send troops when you defending castle. It gives 3x advantage in simulation.
Thanks 🙏🏼
But you lose the ability to train lots of engineering with balista or catapult.
In simulation you will destroy enemy army, and take them prison. And when you do it yourself they will run away, when they loose morale. Simulation is optimal to win campain. But if you don't care about war, and want just lvl up you can do what you want. I get my engineer experience by destroying walls❤
NANII?!?!? 😳
We salute you weary traveller 🖖
This tip is kinda basic, but bring lots of horses. Your army will move faster on the campaign map if everybody has something to ride. Also, you need the right types of horses on hand to upgrade troops into cavalry.
Not basic at all, I feel like a lot of people still don't know this. Especially that not every horse adds speed to your party, so you need to make sure you get the right ones.
Man having a totally mounted army changed the game. I used to have mixed armies and would get stomped all the time but now I've got 115 cavalry army, half of which are elite calaphracts, and I'm no longer joining massive armies in wars. I had a dungeon filled with captured nobles and single handedly crippled the entire Northern nation. Then Rhagaea in her infinite wisdom made peace with them before their last fief could be sieged 😒
From my experience I move faster with infantry than all horses or mainly horses I have 319 at the moment and when I have more calvary at any moment than troops I move like a sloth but when I have more infantry I move quick enough to not get caught by a vessel with 50 troops not even kidding if I had cav mostly I would get caught easily by 1000 troops when I only had 250
@@WindsOfficialwhich are the right ones?
@@yous2244Iirc, pack horses like mules and Sumpter horses don't add the "footmen on horses" buff, while mounts, war mounts, and noble mounts do. You also need war mounts specifically to upgrade certain calvary troops.
The maxing troops mistake had never been a challange for me, just keep raiding caravans and 3-6 caravans later you will have 500 food and 90k denars
I am doing a bandit type playthrough right now, I was fielding about 80 khan guards just from raiding caravans. They're ripping through everything.
Ive never had financial issues with elite troops in early game. Im always at max men and as upgraded as they can go and never had a problem. If i need money i go to a tournament and sell the reward, which usually keeps the army paid for the next 30 paydays. The only bad part about having a strong army early game (before you even join a kingdom) is that it gets boring. Fights are too easy and half the time you cant even catch the bandits youre chasing.
If you know how to make money then it won’t be an issue. As for making the game feel a little easy, I totally understand…
Buy horses to up your army speed and join another kingdom to have more interesting fights
I have done both but waiting for the right timing (having cash in bank and before a battle) can help a lot by making the life easier into the early game, even if its a few days delay. A few k denars each time does had up, and money means time.
Try fighting outnumbered battles then, it's fun as hell
I Never had a big problem with building an only Cav Force from the beginning and upgrading your troops as fast as possible. As long as you make good money, it’s far more enjoyable and faster to win with an elite force of soldiers instead of cheap units you don’t bother upgrading. And if your force is strong, you don’t suffer many casualties, which you have to replace manually if your troops aren’t good at fighting. So I’m not sure about the suggestion that you should not upgrade your troops as fast as possible.
Like right now i am at 190 Banner Knights and I did not recruit any other units. Might not be the best strategy, but it’s the proof that you can build an army of the most expensive troops from the beginning on without having to struggle (if you know the basics of how to making money)
Yeah you can 100% run an elite group. The mistake more so lies in people not setting themselves up financially before getting that group, then having their massive wages run their money into the bin.
If you’ve got the coin to back it, then you can get any troops you want!
190 Banner Knights… that’s brutal for the enemy 😭
Nice, I'm running 180 Khan Guards, destroying sturgian shield walls like they are made from paper is a joyous experience.
I ain't reading all that
@@IAmABeeHive nice, no one cares about you anyway.
also for sieges, only build the huge catapults, put them in reserve as soon as their done, and deploy all 4 at the same time. 99% of the time you will easily destroy the walls. LEAD AN ASSAULT, have all your troops follow you to ONE side of the fortress, do not split your forces. This is an extremely easy tactic to take castles and cities that have garrisons larger than your army.
Also, if you ride up to the breach and dismount, most of the time the enemy infantry will charge out to kill you, and you can stall then long enough for your troops to arrive and kill them outside of the chokepoint.
You meant trebuchets?
I did a terrible mistake: captured a rebel city as freeman. Declared kindgom, got wiped. Then came back, captured rebel city but not declare kingdom. Now I own a third of main settlement of which half of main cities. I own all original Sturgia and Kuzait, most of battania and western empire. When kingdoms who lost all settlements capture one from major (Vlandia, Aserai or Northern Empire) I sack them and capture their settlement. Plan is to conquer all settlements. A bit a time I'm doing it. Thanks Fian Champions.
Yes. Declaring a kingdom too soon can land you into a very bad predicament, especially when you don't have enough lords on your side😅
Great vid man. On my second campaign and this still helped a lot.
Glad I could help out man! Good luck with your campaign!!
Using a lot of points in smithing is something i would never do. I focus on making my party in to an army itself and i never stop until it reach over 500 men.
I disagree, smithing is a great way to make money. If you get your skill high enough you can make weapons that can sell for pretty high prices
@@bennettkolff2214 it's a cheese way to make money. I never use it. Idc what other people do in their single player games though. I just don't like how easy it makes the game personally.
Thank you so much! I’ve been having a blast in the early game. But the minute the game starts expecting me to make real important decisions I’m completely at a loss. This has helped tremendously. So thanks so very very much!
Glad I could help!
i disagree with the upgrading your troops thing. if you have a full tier 5+ army you can easily defeat parties that are double your size, take all their loot, and sell it for a huge chunk of denars. War profiteering is really the only way to go, if you’re frequently taking out enemy lord, selling them off as prisoners, and selling their loot, you will be a millionaire in no time
This video was extremely interesting. I know all of these things as I play the game for a year. Your humor is great and the way you explain is awesome. Deff deserve more recognition
Appreciate you bro 🙏🏼 ❤️
Another good reason for not upgrading your troops too quickly, but wait until you really need the elite troops, is that you massively slow down the xp-gain of your remaining lower tier troops. Units of the same type share their XP for kills in battle among them, units of different types don't. So if you have too many higher tier troops in the mix, the lower tier troops will upgrade much slower, because the higher tier troops will score the majority of the kills (unless you split your troops into low xp and high xp units and deliberately only send the weak ones to confront the enemy in an easy battle, but obviously that battle would still be a lot easier and you'd have less losses if you had e.g. 100 low tier units and would send all of them in instead of having 50 low tier and 50 high tier and deciding to only send in the 50 low tier and have the high tier units stay back and be idle). It's especially wasteful to have fully upgraded elite troops in the mix, because the xp they get for their kills will be entirely wasted.
I found this really annoying when one of my maxed troops died and I can't easily get a new one
at the start of the game when u are hunting bandits its good to recruit archers since bandits dont usually use shield and they will just die without evewn being able to hit your troups and then u dont lose money recruiting and lvling up infantery that dies. and if u go to a hideout u can order them to shoot at range and then charge and ok it takes more time but u clear them while looking at netflix without losing a single men. and archers are good at riding villages 2 couse no shields :D
Yeah this is 100% true, I found that out in my archers only challenge :)
Love how it’s only taken me 2 days from watching one of your bannerlord vids and playing it first time to looking up what mistakes I’ve made 😂😂 holding too many fiefs, banding huge armies together to defend them, stretching myself too far and not making multiple parties of my clan asap to increase my loyal/cheap (influence) forces to support me. Deleted that save and starting again as I didn’t know the game mechanics we go again 😂😂
😂 I love that
Just recruit only cavalry, you won't lose a batter that way
First playthroughs in games like this are always throwaway games where you're just trying to get a grip on the game mechanics. Sometimes even 2nd so you can focus on early - mid game first time, and Kate game in the 2nd, then the 3rd game is your really serious one 😂
Great video Winds. This was very informative! I shall go forth and conquer!
I mean - the whole "paying your army" thing - just do a bunch of city quests and you will have a ton of money, better recruitment (not grayed out due to too low relations) - and you get a ton of loot from the hideout/poacher/deserter/bandit quests which sells for a fair bit. Never have issues with money - always upgrade straight away.
I'm making all of those mistakes but determined to play to the end.
That’s the way brother
I had a playthrough where Ormar rebelled right as I finished a mercenary contract with Brittania, it rebelled from the Northern Empire, got sieged down by the Northen Empire until a Verlandian army came by crushed the Northern Empire army, and left Ormar with 37 militia troops and a general with 18 men.
Needless to say, I took Ormar. It was only after when I realized I couldn't do Merc contracts, and Northern Empire, Sturgia, and Brittania where all on the losing end, I started my own kingdom way too early, nearly got crushed, but succeeded in taking most of the Sturgian lands in that area. Best campaign ever, then it got corrupted in an update.
Ahh of course, the undefeated kingdom... The Update
I got a playthrough rn where I’ve taken 4 rebel towns. I’m collecting them 😂
I’ve noticed that’s it’s the border towns a lot between the outer kingsdoms, like Akkalar, Ormar and I’m hoping for Husn Falq soon.
A tip id say is to zoom out every now and then on the campaign map and see if there’s any sieges going on, bookmark it and hope it rebels. Then swoop in
I found this video extremely helpful and it showed me things I didn't even know... I'm just in the process of trying to start my own kingdom, but I need a fief and 2 more tiers of renown first. However instead of rushing in headlong, I think I'll play it safe and set myself up for success thanks to your advice. Liked and subscribed, brilliant content my man, good shit.
If you want fiefs, wait for rebellions, and siege the towns as an independent clan. kingdoms never attacked me until I declared as a rival kingdom. The problem is the castles do not send economic support your way, so your town's prosperity will languish.
Just saying, your editing is on point! Love your channel.
Thank you so much!!
Starting a kingdom in this game is actually VERY easy! All you have to do is wait for a rebellion in a captured city, then declare war against the rebels, capture the city and that's all. Now you have a fief. Do not declare your own kingdom yet! Wait for other town's rebellions and repeat the process OR wait for kingdoms to weaken each other, declare war by attacking one of their forces and capture a slightly defended fief. Whenever they attack back you just have to sign peace by paying gold. Yes, you must have insane amount of gold, but if you do smithing it's easy. Actually with this technique you buy fiefs for yourself. When you have enough castles, towns and companions, just declare yourself king and that's it. Hit and run tactic. Why this is works? Because other kingdoms don't attack independent clans. So you have to keep yourself independent as long as you can. This way I managed to conquer almost all of Vlandia and Battania, some parts of Aserai and Western Empire too before I declared my own kingdom. With 5-6 towns and much more castles the other kingdoms won't attack you immediately.
I think I just ran into the upgrading your troops too fast problem. I may have mismanaged myself into a corner here 😂
You can always just purposefully let some die in a battle, let some drop off then get some new recruits.
There’s always a way back in Bannerlord.
Great video, though one thing, two handed and pole arms can sell for much more than anything else, also you can usually get more money from straight-up selling the weapons instead of doing orders
Yeah for sure, depending on what materials you have avaliable to you can dictate what is avaliable to make the most money from however.
Two handed iron sword smelt for iron and wrought iron 10-15 k per sword
Just starting a sandbox on pc, these tips will help. A lot deeper game than I expected.
oh and if u make a kingdsom to early np in siegues in defense and attack the are tricks, in defense ambush and break the siegue engines the most important one is the one that breaks the front door the sigue towers usually dies and then u put fire catapult close to the stairs enemy use to claim and u throw the ammo with your hands and u get around 10/20 kills with every throw and in a siege the first enemys are usually the most lvl up soo u can get like 100 of those alone without even putting your self in danger and after that u just camp the stairs with your arrows and u kill one of each stair soo your infantery in the wall has time to kill the other that u dont without getting hit and u can win siegues like 400 vs 1400 like that if atleast like 200 of your units are good. and for siegues u cract the trabuchets and when one is done u can click on it and put it back and when the 4 of them are crafted u put them to shoot and they while demolish the enemy catapults on the castle or city and mean while they break the catapults u build the siegue towers and once the 4 catapults are broken u push and u should be able to take the castle fairly easy some times with less than 2 soldiers down on realistic dificulty. ooh and on siegue if they break your main door on top of it there is a hole u can throw the fire barrels there are get around 20 to 30 kills with each.
Wow man you've got advice for days!
Just 10 months ago he had a thousand subs, look at this legend now
Most annoying thing is when you get blood thirsty raid like 16 villages then when your running away from a giant army another army just appears and attacks you then you giv them all you dennars then your broke or you get taken hostage and loose all your progress
😵💫😵💫
Holy hell dude You've almost tripled your subscriber count in 2 weeks. Congrats!
I know man, the support has been nothing short of incredible!! Thank all of you ❤️
Experienced warband player and am about a week into banner lord. Absolutely in love with it, and these tips helped me finish up my playthrough. I appreciate you and hope you have a fantastic rest of your year! I am curious, where can I find the shoulder pauldrons you’re wearing on your knight build ?
I watched this video after successfully taking over all of calradia, and you showed me something I didn't know you could do: use your companions to do smithing
lool nah these edits got my sub.. keep tossing those memes perfectly in the middle of events like that and I'll keep watching 😂😂😂😂
Hahah thanks man! Glad to hear, I’ll do my best!!!
Thank you for informing me and making me laugh! awesome stuff
yup needed that 1 million I saved up to survive and especially to add some clans in to increase manpower on the fields to help. Almost unified all the imperial lands of Calradia (except Ortystica and some castles near), crushed the Kuzhaits out and main forces are Vlandia and Battania left but some of the territory is tough holding down as some are around 100 or less.
Dude I’m new to your vids and you helped me on this game with so much, I just subscribed ❤❤❤❤
Besides what you mentioned (improving mid and late game), I believe they need to enrich combat gameplay also, for the all the upcoming wars and tourneys we partake.... It would be enough, if :
1) every type of weapon (polearms , twohanded, etc, daggers, unarmed...) has one type of alternative attack (additional button). For example, two handed weapons alternative strike would be elbow strike forward (similar to bash)/ you can use it after missed swing attack + right timing and you cut your animation for forward elbow to opponent or do it on your own first, then strike with two hander faster... Staffs, pikes could have sweeping ability ,,, unarmed have uppercut to use when opponent is blocking with hands, sword and free hand has ability to pull enemy past you, so you can more easily strike them in back or when they try to hid behind shield and wait for you to do something,... daggers can strike while you are sidestepping,... sooo many posibilites.
2) side step/ forward step- lunge : something to get more distance at once to create better angles and to make combat less stationary
3) jump kick and effectivness of kicks and shield bash and blocking heavier weapons with tiny ones : strenght and agility should have bigger role affecting effectivness of these feats (stronger push, knockdown, daze etc, dmg..)... Jump kick would add longer reach to kicks and strenght of kick
4) power attack : preparing to strike+ front or sidestep lunge makes characther attack with all force he has, dealing more dmg, potentially disarming or knocking enemy back (holding shield), but exposing yourself alot more for longer time...
5) way to quickly jump from horse while moving and throw yourself into battle
Wow man this is an insane amount of detail for a UA-cam comment. This is great.
People READ THIS, there are loads of gems in here!!
Amazing recommendation, but it’s not gonna happen, if you’re looking for amazingly fleshed out melee combat go play Chivalry 2
Very well made great content will be watching from here on out
Glad to have you onboard!! 🫡
You've earned my like via well placed memes
Thank you kind sir!!
I set standards for my garrisons and upgrades.
Garrisons are stocked with T1-3
I upgrade cav first of any culture. Then only foot soldiers of my native culture. Seems to balance out pretty good without leaving me totally broke
Thank you for this, I am fresh to bannerlord as in I've only play two characters and am at the 100 hour mark. I failed greatly in my first run than late game was given a city I protected it from 3500+ attackers yet I had no castles and ran out of time for the Dragon banner quest I was crushed I had been preping for that day in all those hours and failed to meet them. So now I have started again I have no kingdom nor castle but I am at 32 to 60k plus dinars now this helped out alot thank you.
Also if you wanna kinda cheese the game in the late stage you can fill your castles with a thousand peasants and the ai wont attack your castles and its surprisingly cost effective.
Didn't know this man!
Bannerlotd has cap on how many soldier u can host in a castle. War and didn’t have this so u could have 2k soldier without a problem haha
I'm new to the game so it's a good thing I came across this video! Definitely a good thing.
Thnx man i Just play it for 3 days now and man.....what a game , there is much to learn and i am happy to see this . I have to start smithing toen. Thanks for explaining things . Greatz and merrie christmas
I remember in my first play through, i joined the western empire while they were at war with the Aserai.
The Emp called for ALL Lords and we formed a giant 1,9k troops army, and we aimed for Qasira. The Aserai pooled up while we were laying siege and attacked when they thought they could take us......They could NOT, they got wiped while we took heavy losses, but i held back my troops so while everyone else retreated , i started farming all the weakened Aserai Lords over and over again, sell em in the tavern, and once they came out of their castle to start recruiting for their next army, i would pop up and grab em again for money.
And that's how i made my first millions since Garios wouldn't put down the sword :)
Thnx man this will help soooo much
this helps a lot, using throwing blades with 17 throwing 😂also been upgrading my units straight away now i know why it felt a bit too easy I was going over kill, thanks 💯
cheers man filled in afew things for me!
No worries man, glad I could help out!!!
Thanks just started my first game a few days ago need to restart needed theses tips
Glad I could help
great vid i learned alot !!
Also great smithing tip is buy all the pugio from empire towns (The daggers) and smelt them down, they give pretty much everything bar crude iron and thamaskene.
Thank you for the smithing thing. I always pushed it to the next day like "meh I'll do that tomorrow I already have my beautiful Black Heart". But man did I not envision what could possibly happen in the future of my character if I don't start smithing now.
Smith today, let your problems fly away
Thanks man this was helpful
We appreciate you bro !
❤
one thing I wanna add to the skill prioritization section; Helps to have at least One combat skill as a focus, my current character is/was lacking this kinda and it's been rough lol
Great editing and video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gold is never a problem in Bannerlord, just fight, ransom prisonners, sell loots, and repeat.
But thanks for this video, i will do smithing asap for strong weapons
Recently I have taken to recruiting Bandits to upgrade my Roguery skill and also taking bandit weapons to smelt.
Well, I don't know about the kingdom part.
I played as a Khuzait who fought for the Northern Empire. We did extremely well, dominated the North East and almost wiped Khuzait from the map, and then I saw Lucon's 1k+ army wandering toward the Eastern Steppe alone. And I thought why not take him out, so I ambushed him and quickly defeated another 1k+ Imperial army on the open field with just my houseguards. After that, I quickly captured other Khuzait towns without serious resistance (because I release no prisoners).
I think establishing a new kingdom is really about aggressive mindset, delayed tactics and divide and conquer. You don't want just 1 town or castle, but multiple settlements and a million dollars or two so you can convince fief-less lords to join you to stablize the situation.
100% man, great advice
As someone ho has 50 million gold i dont think 1 million is enough.
Another big mistake is rushing main story quests to quick. I like to wait before I choose to form kingdom in quest. Once you do it it will start count to 2000 and make you at war with one side empire or others. I always start my kingdom, settle down, get few lords and than after I like to go and submit kingdom in main quest. Than I dont have to even run around making sure they dont strengthen up. I can focus instead on securing crucial towns and getting prepared for the massive war at early end game. :)
at 96% download going in for the first time! excited for the journey
As a new player(I just downloaded it today) this video was quite informative👍
Glad it was helpful!
Wow this helped me a lot. Great Video 😁😁
Glad to hear!
IMO turning the kill feed to symbols imstead of full troop names is so nice to reduce screen clutter on huge fights
I love going all into throwing and letting my javelins one shot fully armored people and horses. One tapping is always fun
It’s the best
Starting a kingdom too early! Frfr, I had 1.45 million, went after Sturgia with only one vassal and the entire world quickly declared war on me. My only choice was to pay tribute payments of 14 - 15k per day. I recruited one vassal which costed 300k. Then after a few days I was broke. Had to start over from the beginning 😂😂
Yep, I suppose sometimes even having $1m plus isn’t even enough! The game can be brutal sometimes
@@WindsOfficial ya you right, I had to restart now we at 2.45 mil! Trying to weaken the northern empire so I can make Aragon rebel and that will be my capitol city!
Great video:) helped alottttt... i just started playing a couple days ago and seriously this might the coolest game ive EVER played....... pure addiction👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks man! Welcome to the club 😎
Thx for all the tips
For me, it was ignoring the Empire conspiracy, and thus finding myself stuck in a quagmire of eternal war with the faction I can’t make peace with. And now I have over 1 mil in debt that I have no idea how to clear. Even after ransoming the entire Southern Empire, the 200K I got from that pretty much evaporated.
Seems like everyone’s got a debt problem, the solution? War.
The solution is execution can't be at war with factions that don't exist
The kingdom comment spoke to me. Although I had a mil and got a kingdom at a decent time I wasn’t ready for what it came with. I wasn’t ready to part with my coin and had to defend my towns against countless waves forcing me to save scum nearly destroying my play through. The ending let me know I’m on the right track
Just subbed !!!! I'm here for it

I was the lone surviver in one battle... left a ring of bodies around my warrior, worthy of a song 🙌
Well, you can create kingdom early if you know how to protect it. First of all, get city from rebel clan while your clan is at tier 3 (i.e. you cant create kingdom yet), which allows to remain neutral to all major factions. Then make sure you don't have training grounds in it or it will get more and more costly. Fill city garisson to max with low tier forces (2/3 cheapest archers, 1/3 cheap infantry, should be around 500 men in total + 200-300 militia for free from city) - AI needs at least 3x forces to beat city defence, i.e. around 2K army, that is kinda rare case in early game. Then build fairgrounds, orchards, granary to get loyalty. Then do what you want to, but always do quests for city and villages around to keep prosperity and hearts growth maxed, maybe create few caravans in your city, so they will visit it regularly. Now, as far as you have around 600-700 men to protect city (they have to be with at least bows\crossbows or shields, 500 looters not a good choise) and you are not a kingdom, nobody can declare war on you, because there is no diplomatic entity for this, even so, nobody will choose your city as a target for war until there is a city or castle that is much easier to take (i.e. literally, any other faction looks like easier target than your citadel crowded with archers). BUT at any cost, do not attack other factions if you a not ready to take out at least 1K men army. If happens that you started a war with someone and they layed siege against you - either learn to protect your city with forces you have, or just leave AI to keep fighting and wait until large enemy army turn into pieces and then join your forces with city to cast a final blow on their army.
The reason to have early 1-fief kingdom - money and influence (you can put all policies you want and get unlimited access to influence generation, while nobody see you as a threat), you can have thouthands of influence before actually get first clan to your kingdom, good insurance against their stupid decisions.
Best advice for #2 - accept that you will have an entire attribute (or 2) at only like lvl 2-3. AND don't focus on hardly any of those skills (unless a few more lvls will make a direct large influence on something, like Steward for party size or something
God stuff! Earned a sub!
Hey I killed 1 of the 10 nobles before I could talk to them about the main quest. Did I break the Game or does another noble take on the roll of 1-10 nobles to talk for the main quest???
Also most enemy armies are formed with the goal to conquer land, so even if you have a larger army, just stay out of range untill they start a siege and once the siege begins you can wait even further to attack as their numbers start to dwindle, I personally wait untill the defender number about 30-50 especially if the attackers have a larger army and in most cases attack a sieging army gives you better odds, have won at an almost 2x deficiet
Great video!
Thanks!
thank you for the information
You're welcome
If you're suffering with upkeep early game try to do some escort merchant quests, they tend to spawn 40+ bandit groups and give you good income selling their gear early game. Plus gives you some decent gear so you can start winning tournaments if you play on realistic early game tournaments are infuriating lol.
My only issue in my current playthrough (also my only playthrough) is that I can't seem to expand past my one town. Every time I take a castle, it is immediately taken back by an army in the thousands. No one can take my town, but I can't expand past it.
Just started today with this game. The smithing part is a good tip, i hadnt really looked into it yet! What are the best skills to focus on early game? Im more of a one handed weapon with a shield guy
I think you should pick yourself up a good scout and surgeon companion, then I’d focus on some combat related skills like 1hd and athletics + either bow/crossbow/throwing/riding. Then I’d focus on steward, tactics, leadership and either trade or charm. It all depends on what you’re going for but
got my sub brother great videos hope you keep at it and we see you with 100k subs one day keep up the BL2 vids for us
Appreciate you man ❤️
First video on the channel. Now subscribed
Glad to have you onboard!!
I watched the first minute of this video and subscribed 😂 I’m new to bannerlord so hopefully this helps
For Vlandia start/affiliations:
Only get the recruits for your first dozen quests or so. Hunting bandit parties, taking out hideouts, and getting slave prisoners for the mine villages. After that, when you can lead about 50 men, go to castle bound villages, and start recruiting squires and gallants. Gallants are 8 gold a day, squires are 5 a day. A couple months in game and you’ll be a full cavalry force. Excellent for caravan escort or ambush quest as well as all the other lower tier quests. It also opens up the possibility to become a trader. While tedious and repetitive, it is a good way to keep your money high with only 150-180 gold expense per day. Tournaments, and the low tier quests and trading go hand in hand. 1 tournament can sustain two or more weeks of troop upkeep, without selling the prize item. Labor quest, don’t give just the 11 or so they ask for, you can get about 4k from these quests. The few troops you’ll lose can be easily replaced with all the loot you’ll be getting anyway. Don’t be afraid to auto resolve, more prisoners and no personal damage, with maybe 1-3 losses every 5 auto resolves. Become a mercenary, or trader. Or keep grinding your own combat skills in tourneys and low tier quests. It’s a very efficient way to get yourself with some decent money within the first year, as well as building relations with villages and towns. Note, to upgrade your squires, you’ll have to buy war mounts, and they aren’t cheap especially if you have 30 squires to upgrade.
500 hours, still honestly havent really built my own kingdom til recently, these are really good tips
Bold to claim the "best bannerlord community" with guys like Stratgaming and Flesson out there who deep dive game stats, break down units, and Strat's discord has a metric ton of guides and useful info links he made himself. That said, you are pretty entertaining in your own way.
Hundreds of hours and multiple playthroughs. Still have yet to successfully start up a kingdom. I never feel ready.
Love the content

everything you said is facts! this game has made me a kid again 👏🏾

It is bro! Welcome to the community!!
@@WindsOfficial I’ll be watching many more videos of yours from now on good sir. I will start my campaign in the morning ! Exciting times ! Thanks for putting me on. I’ve been looking for a game like this didn’t know it existed.
5:06 I learnt this in Warband. Only difference was I thought mercenaries were better than normal guys so I hired a load of them with only 2,000 denars left and got confused when I was in debt the next week
