@Rafael Veiga Also found this very late at night. Thanks so much just for using the term, Trekkers. It's a lot more accurate and, very refreshing! Have the best dreams in the universe everyone!
For someone with ADHD during work hours, this kind of background noise, especially with headphones on, really helps me to focus. It's also the kind of background track that I have wanted since the early 90's.
If you take out the random beeps, it's basically just brown noise. I used to literally just play brown noise in my earbuds to drown out the talking around me.
It takes me back to my safe space in my head. I’ve relied on ST:TNG to keep me sane since it was first shown (I was a teenager! Man I’m old). Thank you for this video. My anxiety and depression are relieved for a few moments and that means the world to me.
@@richpate9436 You aren't really old, either. The Universe is pretty damn young still. (And no I don't mean that in a young earth sorta way.) Keep trucking, dude.
Please don't stop making these! It's been like 10 months or so and maybe I missed an update on what your channel is doing but at the height of being an essential Healthcare Worker during the pandemic, your ST uploads were what helped me dissolve into myself to get ready for the next barrage... I don't want to lose that.
They must park the ship in space for 10 hours, and put out a repeating recording: "You have reached the Starship Enterprise during our sleep cycle. Please hold off your invasions, curious mega-aliens, and astrological phenomena until our bridge crew is back at their posts. Have a pleasant evening."
@@truthslayer1372 Knowing the definition of a word = nerd? Odd. I always thought it meant someone who was incredibly knowledgeable on a subject and took pride in that fact. But hey! You do you, buddy.
Welp, I've listened to the TNG Night Shift video every day for the last year, and it's really nice to know that there's an option without the background conversations, should I ever need it. (That being said, I'm probably gonna continue listening to the Night Shift video because I like hearing my old friends chatting in the background, and I'm loyal to something that's helped me a ton this last year.) Thanks a lot, for all of these!
ur late to the party. anything space is good for sleep. star treck NG, babylon 5, walking with dinosaurs, ancienty history docs, disaster movies, movies from childhood like never ending story, myth busters are all good for sleep. when ur mostly just listening in bed only occasionaly opening the eyes to see the screen.
This is exactly the spaceship bridge ambiance I've been looking for!! I like the idea of Star Trek but I've seen so little of it, I'd hardly call myself a Trekky. Nevertheless, I'm delighted to have finally found this. Im going to be falling asleep to this for a long time
This is perfect! I was looking forward to another “night shift” Star Trek ambience to sleep to. As always you did a stellar job! I can imagine myself shuffling to and from the bridge in my slippers for a lonely night shift under a relaxed and lenient captain who lets me work wearing flannel sweat pants with a blanket, my stuffed wolf plushie, and a hot mug of raktajino coffee from the replicator….all while most of the ships crew are fast asleep. Usually not much action or interruption on this shift…usually. Thank you as always for the amazing ambiences!
I'd love to see more Borg-themed ambience videos! The one of Voyager's cargo bay was awesome, but it would be wicked cool to listen to some spooky sounds of drones walking around, panels being used, whispers of the Collective's voices/announcement voice, etc.
After I listened to this for a moment, it occurred to me to play this content through my 4 HomePod Minis. I have 2 in the living room and 2 in my home office. It sounded amazing and it felt like I was actually on the bridge of the Enterprise surrounded and immersed by those sounds regardless of where I was walking in my home!
Thank you, I’ve been mega depressed all day and the depressing thoughts wouldn’t get out of my head it just screamed. I remembered when I did this all the time and it just calmed me.
This one has become my absolute go-to for studying/testing. For me, this is perfection. The combination of constant background rumble, rhythmic beeping from the viewscreen, with the random soft beeping of consoles is heaven for my brain. Thank you so much!
You need to sell this on iTune, I would purchase right off the bat! Feels so good listening to this, I think I should one day build by home office in this design and have the surround sound system blast this non-stop. The changes you made from previous version make this truly great!
Excellent work! I really enjoy your ST ambience videos. What about some planetary soundscapes? Vulcan, Bejor, Andoria, etc? With wind, waves, alien crickets and strange smooth sounds? Meditation ambiences, like a Vulcan temple? Just a few ideas. Thanks!
I wouldn't think that it's "night shift", because technically it's always "night" in space. The ship does reduce bridge ambient illumination in a nod to the Circadian rhythm. A scene like this is most likely during a maintenance period when everyone not involved in the repairs would be on shore leave and most of the work would take place in engineering.
Love this. You know, I recently watched a VOY episode (the one where the doctor gets beamed to the USS Prometheus with Andy Dick, lol) I always liked the sound of that bridge. I feel the ambient sound would be so awesome
This is perfect! Not only from a viewing perspective with low, warm lighting, but it also provides "ambient noise" in the lower registry. This is perfect for relaxing, sleep, or keeping me relaxed/focused whilst I work. Love the nuanced, blinking consoles . . . nice touch! Simply stunning all 'round. Now that we have this beautiful work, do you ever plan to do something similar with the Enterprise E? I believe there used to be a game/experience called "Star Trek: Captain's Chair", and it has the ambience of the Enterprise E. It also has the USS Defiant as well. I just wanted to provide background "help" if I am making a request. 🙂
This is if you fall asleep on the bridge. And seeing this thumbnail of this bridge, I don't think Captain Picard would be to happy to find anyone sleeping on the bridge instead of their room quarters.
If you put Data alone in the captain's chair on the bridge you could imagine this as the extended cut of the ending to Night Terrors. Just Data alone, monitoring the ship as it flies through a quiet and boring sector of space, as 1100 crew (and who knows how many passengers) get a good night's sleep.
Just like a naval vessel, the ship has to be manned 24/7 by operations. Engineering has to keep the plant running. Anyone assigned to a task not requiring 24/7 attention can be on a daylight shift. Power stations are like this. Operators are in the control room 24/7/365. Small plants typically schedule maintenance 7-3 Monday through Friday but they are subject to holdovers, midnight callouts, and sudden weekend schedules.
Awesome for falling asleep until 3/4 way through there's a Red Alert with phaser and photon blasts that follow, gave me some messed up dreams, but I'm lying, I'll try this tonight.

The images of the darker bridge with blue lighting are actually perfect for night shift and sleep asmr compared to the usual bridge look! (Can't remember if the show did it, but it looks great!)
When in hospital multiple times, I've noticed that at night they darken the halls and rooms (except nurse stations) to help patients without window views. Not pitch black, just soft lighting.
The show did it a couple times, such as Yesterday’s Enterprise or that one where Worf “helps” Keiko give birth. Only seemed to be for emergency low power situations. Kind of a shame they didn’t dim the set lights for red alert etc since they clearly could!
Hey ender, love your stuff so much. Dunno if you'll see this, but do you think you could ever get the Captain's Quarters video back up? The Picard lines were at just the right volume so that I could hear them but still drift off. Was one of my favourite things to fall asleep to. Love ya buddy!
