  • Hello, welcome to Sherri’s Heavenly Apothecary, I’m Sherri. Today I’m really excited because I’m continuing the self-care series, and for this video, we are making some solid conditioner bars. If you have never tried a solid conditioner bar, you are in for a treat! They pair well with solid shampoo bars, like the CP shampoo bars we made in another video. I encourage you to check that out as well. You can find it here: • Self-care Series Video...
Solid shampoo/conditioner creates minimal waste and they last forever! Not to mention, they are all natural and good for you and the environment! We are using all Ecocert-approved ingredients with a rating of 1 on Environmental Wellness Group's Skin Deep website. You can feel good about this product all the way around!
If you find this content, interesting, I would encourage you to hit the like button.

Without further ado, here is the recipe as promised:
We are making an 8oz Batch = 227g. The gram amounts below are for our 8oz/227g batch. If you desire a larger/ smaller batch you will need to use the percentage rates to calculate that formula. If you would like me to do a video on how to calculate a formula using percentages, please leave a comment letting me know.
    Heated Phase
    25% Total Butters
(I used 12.5%/28.37g each of shea butter and cocoa butter)
    25%/56.7g Cetyl Alcohol
    17%/38.59g Cocoa Butter
    0.5%/1.1g Hydrolyzed Rice Protein
    20%/45.4g Ritamulse/ECOMULSE SCG - emulsifying wax
    7%/15.8g Stearic Acid
    2%/4.5g Vegetable Glycerin
    1%/2.2g DL Panthenol
    1. Mix the Dl Panthenol into the glycerin and make a slurry to dissolve.
    2. Add the glycerin/Dl Panthenol slurry to the heated phase ingredients right after they have been melted and are still very hot.
    3. Stir to dissolve and incorporate into the heated phase melted ingredients.
    Cool Down Phase
0.5%/1.1g Fennel and Rosemary Essential Oils (I used 5 drops of each and called it good) 😊
You can use any essential oils you like, just be sure to check usage rates on EOcalc.net.
    2%/4.4g Leucidal Liquid SF
    1. You will need to wait until the heated phase cools down to at/under
    *100 degrees.
    2. As it starts to solidify, stir to keep it from becoming completely solid and keep checking the temp.
    3. Once it gets to 100 stir the cool-down face ingredients in vigorously to ensure it is all distributed and incorporated evenly.
    4. Plop batter into the mold and smooth with a spatula or a cake decorating tool as you see me use in the video.
    5. *Optional: Place in the fridge/freezer to allow it to set up faster.
    6. Test pH level, s/b between 4.5-5.5.
    7. Enjoy!
Use: After shampooing massage the conditioner bar through your hair, starting at the top and all down the strands to the ends, massage in the scalp and hair strands, and let sit for 2 to 3 minutes, rinse off.

Thank you so much for your videos. I, too am a therapist doing hair and skin care, making salves, soaps, teas, herbal products, etc. Great to meet a kindred spirit!

Thank you, thank you Sherri for sharing your wonderful recipies, definitely going to try to make this conditioner. I have one question, though: I don't have the ritamulse emulsifier. Can I use instead the BTMS 50 since I have this on hand?
