This video is great! So glad I found your channel as I am new to the coaching journey. Her explanation and comparison of the coaching space to the state of mindfulness was very interesting to me because when I feel the same way. Thanks for sharing this video.
Oh, that's a whole other thing. And, I think there is a place for consulting, it's just not coaching. If we are building a shed, then maybe there is a plan that is useful. In business, while there are things that people might need to know, like a checklist of business licence, niche, etc. Most people can do a google search or ask ChatGPT what steps they need to take to create a business. But, what is getting in the way of taking action, what the limiting beliefs are that are slowing the roll, those things I can't know what another person needs to do, so that is where insight and inquiry are more useful. Curious what that brings up for you.
@@LyssadeHart Ahh yes, makes perfect sense. So for business coaching/consulting we might benefit from asking the client what they would find most useful/what's getting in the way/what they feel we need to address for helping the business grow or start? Then from there we can provide personal coaching or business consulting depending on which one the client feels they need?
@@resourcequeenlifecoaching I do have a bias that most people will benefit more from the coaching. :) But, that said, yes, sometimes people want consulting and there is nothing wrong with that either.
@@resourcequeenlifecoaching I guess it depends, if someone needs to build a chicken coop, then directions are useful. If someone needs to explore why they aren't motivated... coaching. BTW, it was great meeting you today. :)

Glad it resonated with you! :)
Love this video. What are your thoughts on when you are helping clients with their business and they ask you for business consulting?

@@LyssadeHart I totally do too! If you don't mind sharing, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on why they would benefit more from the coaching?
