Most years my fall honey is almost black but once in a while it has a amber color like the store bought and it definitely tastes differently than the dark. Everyone seems to like the darker honey as well.

only counts if they are harvested at the same time period as different blooms will make different colors

My 2022 was a lot darker then my 2023 which was very light color. Same bee's same location.

I think our winter/fall honey is darker than spring honey.

Can you show how you hang your swarm traps? I see you use the chain & ratchet strap method.
