Billy, you may have saved my brother's life he was cutting a big oak and asked my opinion on the tree before cutting it. The tree had been hit by lightning at one point and I remembered your lesson on using ratchet straps to bind the trunk we put 2- 2" on tight and as it hit the ground it came apart. It held through the cut I am sure it would have barber chaired on him without the straps. Thank you!!
I am one of those cats and I'm. Not sure my neighbors all appreciate a good sounding loud saw. My Husqvarna dirt bike might have something to do with that Also.

Love men passing on wisdom. You two are amazing how such totally different men can share and learn and teach, even each other, all at the same time! And yes it’s $10 a month for membership, but in my opinion, it’s so worth the “support” for what Billy’s doing. Come join us, bring the whole family!
I just bought back my dads old 044 he sold to a friend 20 years ago. I got it back for the same price of $250. It still has the original machining marks on the cylinder.
The white oak can take a little longer to cut when it's dry. The chain on the 044 was dialed in! Very nice. To me here at home, it splits better with a axe the dryer it is. I still use my splitter on the knotted stuff. Great video!
Man, everything ya said about powersaw abuse is soo true!!! Im right there with ya brother😊 so cool to see you two talking powersaws, and throwing ideas off eachother💪💪 🪓🪵🌳cool video Billy...much love from the Barth family❤❤...prayers for your dad also🙏🙏☝️👌
My all time favorite Stihl chainsaw. I run a 28, 30, and 32” bars on mine. They’ll pull a 36” okay as well as seen here. Scott’s saw is an early first gen 044, they run the best. I agree about the dogs! The 1122 Stihl dawgs are perfect. No need for anything bigger on that model. Yes, I’ve been guilty of knocking out undercuts with my saw as well… bad habits are hard to break lol! Great tips for bucking too. Just a great video!
So many valuable lessons in this video. Treat your equipment as your lifeline in a way. Respect it, honor it and definitely take care of it because it's the key that starts your engine to get out there and work for your family but also your very self!

@@stephenreiner1523 I agree - I’ve seen him running with a 261,362 and a 462 on the channel but never an 044 … which is arguably the finest 70cc class saw ever produced ! And until the recent Chinese Cypress discovery; the Doerner Fir was the World’s Tallest tree that wasn’t a Redwood. Thinking about you and your Dad . I understand how it is when a parent health is in jeopardy. Hang in there , be great full he is still around . Tell him how much you love him . My parents know I love them very much . I can live life knowing this . I am at peace .
Was running my Stihl MS 311 on some longs today the saw 4 stroked a bit when I was going through logs, full skip chain got the gullet kind of hungry rakers.
