Neil truly is an extrovert but he can yap away all day and still be interesting. He seems like a good bean and enthusiastic about what he does.
I find his involvement in mocap super interesting, especially since he started his own business. This is the most I've heard him talk about it. Also, ive never actually heard a guy speaking of being maternal before having a kid before. I love hearing and seeing the actors behind games!
Also... Hiya Claire, this is my first time seeing anything from you. Its so weird to see someone with the same accent as me on UA-cam! Ill have to binge your other content.
    Sorry for the novel btw.

This is an incredibly deep and articulate conversation! I could hear Neil Newbon talk all day, but this video made me actually listen. He’s such a humble human with wisdom beyond his years. Thank you both for restoring my faith in humanity lol.

He’s right darn it. Need to pick myself up and try and get my life together more. He did it at a younger age than me (I’m early 40s). I’ve had fibromyalgia for 20 years and been in limbo, but there’s stuff I can still do. I guess I better go get my drivers licence to start with because where I live, public transport? What’s public transport?
Thanks Claire and Neil you may have just changed the trajectory of my life.

I have just stumbled across this gem. It's been great to see some honesty and humility in the world. Neil is so very well spoken and such an inspiration.
Ha talks about things you'd never think of. It's so refreshing to hear someone so down to earth, just real human being talking about his struggles in life. I don't know the man but I'm so proud of him. Of his barvery, resilience and hard work.
Thank you for this podcast, it's been a great experience.

When you and Neil mentioned that about "traveling light" and all of these things about letting go, it REALLY spoke to me. I emigrated from my country to look for something better for me and my family and this really resonated with me. It brought tears to my eyes. As a libra, someone that is very indecisive even of the options i already took, it was really hard to pinpoint the feeling but you two put it to words beautifully and it brought peace to my soul; I really made the right choice. Thank you so much for this.

Amazing interview! So well done, and Neil is a joy to listen to as per usual. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you also happen to travel to Phoenix for a con with Neil and some other amazing RE / BG3 people to moderate panels and such?

Neil is so much fun. He loves his Characters, and Everything is a childlike wonder, that surrounds him.
His Astarion has to be one of my favorites tho, because the Character is so enriched entertaining, broken, but loyal. And Neil makes him real, warm, dangerously misleading, and charming boisterous Cheeky, and even Endearing Darlin.
To be Pitied, but not pitiful.
Astarion is the definitive, of multi talented with his doppelganger Neil, to not only voice his better half, but give the character his unassumingly warm, ñ impeccable flare, Dianamicly sharp, as his also unassuming bite, just might take the player off their game.
He's not like other blood suckers, that drain you, ñ leave you.
Astarion has a wonderful mystery to him, ñ his lure is whatever he needs it to be, or to help aid his fellow, misunderstood Companion's, in the arduous journey ahead.
He seems, even tho a Vampyre Spawn, to be the most intelligent, and tricky, among his venturesome ñ fun. Tho his secrets reveal dire circumstances, he's truly a sad figure hiding ominously in shadow, tho he walks proudly, embracing the dappled sunlight, as the high, beautiful, elfin lad, from Baldurs gate resident, taken ñ enslaved by a powerful Vampire Lord, ñ used as his unwilling bate to lure unsuspecting Baldurian's to his dark Master's secret identity, ñ constant overwhelming, appetite's for ultimate power, Cazabore from the horrifying Salazar family.
Later, Astarion regales us with his sad, ñ dire tale. Hoping you will help him, in ending the evil bastard, ñ find out about his evil plan for poor Astarion ñ his Spawn brother's ñ Sisters. Our pet Vampyre will also aid you in battle, when you set him on your foes, for a much needed snack. Ever helpful he can bite back, in more ways then one.
Astarion is most helpful to the party in that way. Ñ Neal is an absolutely beautiful multi personality, and extremely extraordinarily sincere, human being.
    Thank you Hot Pod.

There is no doubt that Astarion's characteristics reflect ones from Neil himself. I mean, he said in one of an article that he has been trumatized too. He was bullied when he was a kid. But found strength to survive, eventually becomes a better person. He really handles Astarion story with care. The result is a deeply rich character that able to invoke emotions and someone who many with same experience can relate to.
