Absolutely love this. Im changing careers from nursing to law. Since the rona hit I feel like I have been set back a bit but I am planning on going back to school next year. Im kinda of nervous because Im 30 and going through a career change and with becoming a lawyer I have to go to school for 7 years. I am happy and sad at times about this but I feel like my calling is law.
If you already have a bachelor’s, you’ll only have to go to school for 3 years! :) take the LSAT & apply when applications open for your prospective schools. Praying for nothing but success in your journey. It’s NEVER too late to do what you strive to achieve!
I made the same transition and I’m very happy I did it. Just start, the time will pass whether you pursue your goals are not. My biggest advice: Try to keep down your student loan debt so you’re not crippled by it later
Congratulations!! People don't realize that getting a JD and being Barred is a stepping stone to so many bigger and better things. Firm life is not the end of the road; it's just the beginning! I am in my last year of my JD-MBA. I went into this degree with the full intention of being open to multiple streams of income and using my license for nontraditional purposes. I'm excited to see what you've been up to and where you are going from here :)

Yes ma’am! I did the same after being in my profession for 10 years. I never made it to the highest level that I could have, hater the people that I worked with, because they were so wicked. I have not worked for anyone since August 2019! Not to mention that I have a teenager and a dog to take care of along with grown folks bills. I’ve had many days of second guessing, anxiety, being afraid, mad, frustrated, etc. BUT, the peace and drive that I have now is unmatched! You are stronger, both mentally and physically, then you give yourself credit for. I’m grateful that I get to live my life, on my terms, my way. Anyone can do it, if they are fed up enough. 2020 has further solidified my notion of finding what’s truly important to me and how we all just to live in our truth. Peace and many blessings to all of us!
I literally felt the anointing of God when you was talking about how having faith and trusting God even though you don’t see what’s He’s doing. This video has really motivated me to do what it is I desire and to always seek God. I love your channel girl 💗💗

I will be graduating with a BS in Criminal Justice, at the end of 2021, I have always felt that my calling was to be in Law, I am VERY discouraged and scared to go to law school, my undergrad grades aren't the best (I can honestly say I was not pushing myself) .... I went into college wanting to be a lawyer, got discouraged and changed my mind, and it was just up until now that I decided that I will finally push myself to do something I have always dreamed of doing, even since a kid. My MAIN concerns with going for this dream is not being able to have a happy,stable life outside of my career, I always hear and people seem to always portray a lawyer as someone who works LONG hours and does not have time for a family, or friends. This is something I am not looking forward to, I want to be able to have a healthy life at home as well, have kids and be able to spend time with them (when that time comes) ... I said all of that to say, from your POV do you feel as if you could have that genuine quality time for a husband or kids, if you had them? do you feel like you are so busy that you don't have time for your life outside of your job? -thank for the videos they are very helpful, and I hope you can help me with these questions

I believe you mentioned you are in employment law. Just asking as well as vent.... I am an African American female licensed therapist and I have 2 of my white female unlicensed colleagues making way more than me. I brought it up to HR but she did nothing(stating they don’t go by your license there) I work in a psych hospital. Also, I notice under cover racism with a white dr who clearly treats his patients extremely different from his white patients. I told my family and wanted to quit, my family told me to stay there and help the black people as hard as I can. Remind you there are about 6 black people that work here and the rest are white. It’s hard but now I stay for this reason.
