This just happened to my 2014 sonata yesterday. I took it to the dealer. It’s a manufacturer defect that can lead to engine failure. Has to do with rods knocking. It’s not the sensor. There is a lifetime warranty out for these engines.
@@collingriga1819 2011-14 & some 15. Hopefully yours run okay & if not tell them and I mean TELL them you know it’s a lifetime warranty on them and they have to replace it or get a lawyer if they give a hard time
Did you bother to check the height of the connector rods? Just because you're throwing a sensor code doesn't mean it's the sensor. If the connector rod bearings are shot, throwing on a new sensor isn't going to fix it.
Yea you finesse them replacing a knock sensor ain't gonna fix the problem it probably on ran good for a day if that .. if thats sensor goes out your cars basically done just make sure you have the recall done before you go to Hyundai if you have that recall you will get a new engine/engine block it's recall is campaign 953 trust me I know I just went threw a 8 month Battle I ended buying a new engine threw them I wasn't covered by the warranty I didn't know about that recall until it was to late sadly
You don’t need to remove the fuel rail to install the knock sensor, only injector 3 connector then reconnect. Also clear p1326 with engine running, not IG ON ENG OFF.
Did you even clean the intake to bring before I got into the cylinders how about the dirt that's above the seals on the fuel rail I didn't hear you say nothing about that but that's a difference between a prole and a backyard mechanic...👀 SMH
