    Thank you for posting.
I met Melody in Vietnam in 1968 during Tet at Phu Cat AB. She and Vicki Lawrence were there with the Red Cross. They gave us cupcakes, talked to each of us and brought a little bit of home during the war.
The bravery of Melody, Vicki, and the other stars that visit without fanfare, but make an impression that has lasted over 50 years.
    Thank you Melody, RIP

I met all the Stars of F Troop add an autograph show in Burbank California. Every one of the cast members was unbelievably nice. James Hampton let me blow the bugle that he used in F Troop. I asked Larry Storch if he would hit me on the head with his hat. He came out onto the Aisle, and told everybody to stand back. He promptly yelled at me like I was one of his troops and hit me on the head with his hat.

I met Forrest Tucker (Sgt O'Rourke) when I was a teenager. I was the regular caddy for Mr Tucker's uncle and he came out to play with his uncle and other invited guests a couple of times a week. Mr. Tucker was very nice to all of the caddies and would slip us $10 bills after each round. On his last round, when the play he was in was closing, Mr Tucker gave all the caddies a $100 bill. This was really big bucks in 1969. I enjoyed F-Troop and told Mr Tucker so. He seemed pleased to hear it. Also, he was a hell of a good golfer and could absolutely crush a drive.

Melody was one of my grandmother's best friends. I had no idea that she left this kind of legacy and didn't find out until a few years after she had passed away. She was an incredible woman who touched so many lives, even personally. My grandmother still speaks of her often- there were so many crazy stories about what they got up to while living in Hawaii! Now, I'm in my second year of film school, and I think it's so funny how things kind of go in a circle. Thank you for making this video, as I have really loved getting to reconnect with who she was and learn about her career, which I never got the chance to do when she was still around.

*I had a **_horrific_** case of the hots for Melody! Until today, I thought she was a lot older than I was, and now I know why: that's quite a story! I'm sorry I never got to meet her in person, she was quite a good actress, despite me wanting to drool all over her :-) I know this because I was also "in the business" at the time, just on the opposite coast (NY), and I watched her stuff religiously. I always wondered why she suddenly vaporized into thin air, and now I know why: I appreciate that you did a video on her. Thanks!*

I knew Melody back in 1983. We worked at the same company (Melody was sent as a contract worker). She was really a sweet person. She was older than me, (early to mid 30's, I was in my mid 20's). She may have been separated at the time as I was not aware that she was married in 1983, at least I don't remember her mentioning it. I actually asked her out at one point and she said yes (to lunch). It was obvious that I liked her. I left the company a few months later and never or spoke to Melody again. She was beautiful and a very sweet, classy lady.

He stopped and offer Miss Paterson a ride and questioned her why she didnt have a car, now that she was financiallyable to buy one. . Melody broke down and told Larry that she wasnt old enough to drive.

Beautiful. I was an early grade schooler when F-Troop was airing. Then as now I saw her as one of the prettiest girls I had ever seen. As other's are commenting it's amazing that she was only 16 or 17 when on F-Troop.
This is going back to memory of some 50+ years so correct me if I'm wrong. A tribe of Indians got lost. When it's Chief was it explaining the tribe's name he said that as they were wandering one asked, "We're the heck are we?" and that became the tribe's name the Hekawee on F-Troop! I was something like 10 years okd then. So like most boys that age to me marriage was a serious impending likely hood and I even went so far as to imagine me growing up, finding Jane in CA and marrying her. I lived in NJ. Two more screamer roles Larry Storch played were, Charlie the Drunk in two episodes of the TV Comedy show"Car 54 Where are You?", and as a motorcycle cop in the Comedy Movie "Sex & The Single Girl". In the latter, the look on his face as he hung his head in shame after an elderly couple drove their Model A Ford over his motorcycle, is absolutely priceless! I saw it in a theater when it first came out in 1965. I still screamed with laughter when I saw it again a year ago.

Interesting that she was only 16. Her character was often "the only grown-up in the room." She played it well.
16 was the age of consent back the period, as well as in many areas still. Ironically, her having a handgun and under 21 would be a sticking point in modern times.
She was pretty and a very good actress.
