It's such a shame that this comic didn't continue- they already turned Sonic 3D and Sonic Adventure into epic story arcs- imagine what they could have done with future titles- the introduction of Shadow, Sonic Colours would have had the potential for a brilliant adaptation (the wisps could even have been recurring in the comic from there), Sonic Heroes would have been pretty good, and seeing an adaptation of Sonic Unleashed would have been good to see too- Sonic trying to stop Robotnik's plans while dealing with a personal battle against a werewolf alter-ego. I would have liked to see an adaptation of Sonic Forces (one of my personal favourite modern Sonic games) where beforehand they would have run a contest for viewers to submit ideas for their own character, and the winner have their character be included in that story arc as the Avatar. (Man, now I REALLY wish this comic was still going!)

I know, I've read through a few issues of STC Online- they are pretty good and ambitious, but it would have been nice to see an official continuation. The online ones just aren't the same.

I discovered that, before the end of the Archie comics, they made an adaptation of Sonic Unleashed, making Sonic become Werehog but not controling himself so Amy, Sally, Mighty and Ray help Sonic
Or maybe a Sonic Mania arc where ut takes place when they we're younger.

Wow, they don’t shy away from death here. They straight up say that Chaos killed that guy.
If reprints didn't get in the way.. We could of have more new stories.. But good god this story got quite dark from Johnny's death to Robotnik's mental breakdown.. I kind of feel sorry for Grimer even if he is a villain he tried his best to bring his master out of his madness like say.. releasing a water monster which was originally a Drakon Fish with the Chaos energy that has to be steeled 8000 years ago.. And all of this was in vain Robotnik's plan is to let the planet which was the last straw for Grimer to leave Robotnik for good.. Still it's a great way to end all new stories on STC.
I should also note BTW that Night Terrors! is the last time that we see Robotnik in his old outfit first used in Girl Trouble Part 2.. That's the design I always prefer either in AOSTH or in this Series.

For being based around the first Adventure game, I was actually very surprised when Big showed up even if it was for one panel! The only one missing from the Adventure arc was Gamma which sucks but I can't get too picky this was still a pretty amazing storyline adaptation.
Gamma probably would have been a backup story exclusive if it hadn't already been limited to one new main strip by the adaptation
It's really sad to see that this comic finished like this. Seriously,both of us wanted-and still want-more of it. But don't worry,someday,the story will be back. We will have the real revival,I know it!

in the game chaos was a chao mixed with emeralds power in the comic its the drakon empire slight change but big difference
Drakons are basically alien fish
It’s cool that super is the Final Villain because in the game when you fight chaos your super sonic

I'm honestly considering animating this. IT would be one of those things I might try and make a trailer for and see if people are interested.
If you animate this like you did with Dragon Ball, it would be really amazing (and the dream of many people (including me) of seeing a full animation of STC would be fullfiled)!!

I wonder if after this arc the goodness within Super Sonic would’ve helped regular Sonic destroy the Negative version and take control of the Super Sonic form and make it his own to become the iconic Super Sonic idk if they would’ve done that but that’s just what I think I was originally thinking it would’ve been a theory but idk if that would have any evidence.

They've adapted a reboot of the main series and somehow it still feels like if the series was still going like nobody's business.

Archie Comics definitely took some influence from Fleetway, such as a evil Super Sonic that appears briefly in one issue, and Robotnik/Eggman's mental breakdown.
Yes. In Issue 134, Shortfuse was on Bem and Tekno witnessed Sonic and Sally’s infamous breakup. However, I couldn’t find Ebony anywhere.

When did STC stop doing traditional hand drawn pages and moved onto digital coloring? Because fairly sure the coloring on this was done digitally given its release (2000) and the fact the style looks different
So STC always used traditional drawn pages throughout its entire run, but it’s digital colouring varied from artist to artist, the first digital coloured pages started around issue 91 I believe, it was the Tomb 2 part story. The series mostly went digital colours all the way from issue 125 however a few artists still coloured traditionally until there last STC run.

So I've decided to redo the first part again but bring it up to the quality of how I did The Journey video, new script, high quality and a much longer run time. Its actually turned out to be a tremendous amount of work to do it like this but I'm happy with it so far. I'm working on it right now and I'm hoping it will be uploaded in early October, once that's all done I'll continue the series going into the Shanazar arc. Thanks for asking about it! I haven't actually teased it yet so your the first to know.

It will be in the first quarter for next year hopefully, and yes that's the plan to combine them all.

I'm now curious, had the series gone on long enough to incorporate Sonic Adventure 2 characters, would Shadow's super form would be evil like Super Sonic?
Would he have been able to control it, thus retaining his personality?

maybe is just the return of the mirror version of him, splitting into his own guy again and coming to kill the sonic from the normal dimension and took the name shadow
There´s actually a fan made continuation of this. In it, Shadow was created using Chaos Energy and Sonic's genes. Dr kintobor found him and teached him everything. When kintobor turned into robotinik, Shadow blamed sonic and goes after him for revenge.

Yeah, but chaos' original design shows that "chaos was a chao before" theoretical chao design to chaos. But don't get me wrong both versions of chaos are very good in their own ways.
